When the details of the card are typed in, the bitcoins will automatically be transferred to a customers Bitcoin wallet.
I do not understand why they are considering following the lead near bangladash. That is just the word of a marine search corporation. While the west australia lead was confirmed by several government search teams who picked up the blackbox ping.
I have no idea what georesonance found near bangladesh, the pictures really are intriguing, and it might be some plane, but whatever it is, it is not flight 370. There is no way a plane can rest on the bottom on that ocean, while giving engine monitoring satellite pings and underwater black box pings thousands of miles away. But if authorities dont follow up on it, conspiracy theorist will say its a coverup. May as well have a look whats on the bottom of the ocean there.
It could still be a cover-up, but unlike conspiracy theorists I'm actually waiting for some evidence of anything before I actually make any judgements. At the moment I'll go with the likelihood of it just crashing in a massive ocean due to whatever reasons. I'm always willing to change my stance as the evidence prepresents itself though.
I bet belly landed in the ocean, thats why there was no debris field. It's going to be incredibly difficult to find that plane at the bottom of the indian ocean.
That's great that yelp does that but It would be so good if someone big like yahoo start doing this, then we would get alot more bitcoins users in no time.
This will happen if not this year, next.

Larry Summers former US Treasury Secretary: It’s a serious mistake to write off

Despite his cynicism regarding a virtual currency marketplace, Summers disparaged bitcoin critics by saying they are on the wrong side of history.
I always like witnessing history. The adoption phase is humming along.

Bitcoin's top "geek" on the new currency's future [VIDEO]

Speaking at the Milken Institute Global Conference, Bitcoin's Gavin Andresen says it could be 20-30 years before he uses Bitcoin every day, but says price volatility will subside as more people use it:
He'll get it after a while I suppose. Rand, if you happen across this consider if the MERS mortgage title company had utilized the block chain to track ownership - for a legislator, that should be enough to get them thinking correctly.
For those who don't know, MERS was the unregulated organization that banks created to 1. forge signatures on mortgage docs 2. trade these documents bypassing local municipalities, in effect, stealing doc fees at the local level 3. double spend! there are cases of mortgages being held / claimed by multiple lenders... and other problems with that corrupt data base (MERS).
"Wall Streets Mortgage Fraud Scandal. 'You can have a house that is fully paid for and still end up in foreclosure
Rand, what's the value of bitcoin now?
This is the intriguing part of BTC. What will be able to plug into the block chain for authentication purposes? How does that affect future transaction fees as miners make less BTC rewards and want to be compensated for authenticating transactions? Will future price of BTC offset that?

Yeah he needs a quick primer. I think it's helpful though that they see the potential for commerce to switch to this type of system and get rid of the CC fees. CC companies should be shaking in their boots.

Menufy Integrates Bitcoin

Food delivery provider to start accepting bitcoin. More here:
"And actually my theory, if I were setting it up, Id make it exchangeable for stock. And then itd have real value. And Id have it pegged, and Id have a basket of 10 big retailers. Because I read [Marc] Andreessens article a couple months ago. What fascinated me about it was those 2 to 3% margins. If you multiply that out for all of Wal-Mart and they dont have to use Visa anymore, Im guessing the people who have to be worried here are Visa and MasterCard. I think it would work, but I think, because Im sort of a believer in currency having value, if youre going to create a currency, have it backed up by you know, Hayek used to talk about a basket of commodities? You could have a basket of stocks, and have some exchangeability, because its hard for people like me who are a bit tangible. But you could have an average of stocks, Im wondering if thats the next permutation."

Glad to see that Bloomberg finally came through on this. The more exposure the better.
