I set the main default for the website manually at the moment (and it's USD/bitstamp). For everything else there's just algo that decides this based on exchanges and currencies volume. I set what you see when you first enter website manually because otherwise it would be huobi/CNY and not many people want to watch that. When you enter the website second time, you are displayed what you have been watching lately. So newcomers see USD/Bitstamp, others see what they visited lately. But yes, when you click on the currency you see the biggest exchange for given currency first.

I'd like to provide unbiased data, that has nothing to do with my personal opinion. Maybe mtgox should not be default for EUR. *Maybe*. But I'm not sure. I'd rather be coding than keeping track of all exchanges news, especially when it seems really hard to be able to track down facts and not just people opinions. If I would use my personal opinion, btc-e for example would not be on the website anymore based on my support experience with them.

Didn't know this forum existed on Bitcointalk before you posted the link here today.  Wanted to say that I love your site, and I really appreciate the mentality you have of letting the data speak for itself, popularity contests be damned.

Keep up the amazing work, and thank you!

Just a heads-up that tonight's UFC matches will be graded at the end of the night and not inbetween fights. Thank you for you patience.

Will this be the norm going forward?  (Not in a snarky way.  Just would like to plan my wagers accordingly.)

Is there a way to download the odds being offered for a certain event on bitbook?  For instance, I'm interested in MMA, and I found the link to this: https://bitbook.biz/sport/17/mixed-martial-arts  but the actual odds appear to require using a javascript function.  Is there a location on the site that I can access numeric values of live odds?

Update: BitBook.biz is back up and running

We hope there will not be any more outages like this. We will be monitoring things closely. We'd like to thank everyone for their patience.

This was annoying, and I may have been a bit over-perturbed earlier.  I understand the value of a good bookie, and despite some misleading approaches to defining limits, you guys otherwise are pretty on the up and up and appear to try hard to do the right thing.  On top of that, you guys being out of commission saved me half a bitcoin.  Going hold off on the math for the rest of the set I chose, and just be grateful for the half BtC.  If you're going to crash, next time try to avoid UFC nights!

What is going on with BitBook??? I have three minutes to place wagers and I'm dealing with having to comment to you to fix this nonsense... I tried to put .49 on Justin Edwards, and it said I was limted to .222, so I put .222 and it says I can't place this wager at this time.  I have the same error with another fighter.  On top of it, your MMA section is missing and I can only view the "upcoming" section.  This is the biggest load of nonsense I've ever dealt with.  Please just let me know if this is what can be expected so I can now get down in other books because this is becoming ludicrous!!!

First: Your site is pretty awesome, and the frustratingly low limits is the only downside I've seen so far, so thank you...

Second: (i.e. Frustratingly low limits)

For the last UFC event (Singapore) the limits were very low, and it was disheartening to place a wager and only find out the allowed amount to wager after being turned down for the initial wager.  Is there a way to see what the max wager at a certain time is for MMA?

This wouldn't be (as much of) an issue if the max wagers were closer to 50 BtC which your site advertises, but the limits I was hitting was ~0.2 BtC which is less than a half percent of what your site suggests is available, and very very frustrating to try to build up in preparation for the event...  So anything to help out the MMA fans who are having heaps of trouble getting down, and getting very very frustrated about it?

Hello peargod tl;dr but this "adieu" word doesn't make sense

Had a friend from Catalan, and that's my approach to the English spelling of the the word "Goodbye".

Hi everyone!  I like that bitcointalk allows for a centralized forum for discussions on Bitcoin related businesses, but it's very odd when you would like to participate in the forum, and you're banished to Newbie purgatory.  By limiting us this way, it seems to prohibit an ability to interact with the business you would like to speak with, and you're stuck having to jump through some weird hoop of posting a large post (such as this one) and then waiting four hours before you can finally speak with the company you showed up to speak with in the first place... Weird...  I guess it must work, but I am concerned as to what length is considered "more than a few sentences" as well as the merit of posting to a newbie forum when you have nothing much to share on that topic.  Such is life.  Well thanks for reading!  Have a great day!  Adieu!
