The Zelcash master node amount will be voted upon by the community in the future. There is currently no master node amount currently.  Be on lookout for a community vote in the future for that.  The Dev team stated in an online YouTube video that they wanted to have a large amount of master nodes in total, however the total cost would need to be large enough to make holders serious about running a master node though Zelcash.

My guess which really doesn't hold for much but its a good guess i suppose , is that it will be 20,000 zelcash for 1 masternode.
This all depends on a few important key factors.
If at the time of the master node release Zelcash goes from 2.5 cents a share upwards to 10 cents per share the amount of Zelcash required would drop considerably.

I belive the next big step is gaining access to a more reputable exchange so watch out for that.
Also we will need to see if the team is able to continue pressing forward with their road map and accomplishing their goals.

The overall market for cryptocurrency is in a bad readjustment state. It would not be wise to release this on an exchange now or everyone would just dump. Having an exchange doesn't make a coin less or more popular. What buck needs is further time for the developers to see their plans completed. When the project is mostly up and running then all investors would see a much higher chance of profitability. There are too many immature traders in this space.

The first choice of location is very important so as not to have this coin become unrecognized or just a platform for dumping.
