Looking to Become a Blockchain Developer – Seeking Guidance from the Community
by

Hi all

I’ve been involved in the crypto space for a few years now, investing in various projects and participating in different aspects of this exciting ecosystem. After gaining a solid understanding of the industry from an investment and user perspective, I’ve decided it’s time for me to take things to the next level and build something of my own.

However, I’m starting from scratch in terms of development. I have zero coding knowledge but I’m highly motivated to learn. I would really appreciate some guidance from those with experience on where I should start my journey to becoming a blockchain developer.

1. Where should I begin with coding? (Languages or concepts I should start learning).
2. What is the recommended learning path or structure?
3. Any resources (books, courses, online material) that you found helpful in your own learning?

I know it’s a long road ahead, but I’m committed to diving in and making progress. Looking forward to your suggestions and advice!

Thanks in advance for your help.

How exactly do you find new tokens before they blow up.
by

This question is to help guide newbies on how to spot new gems themselves.
I believe the best way for people with small liquidity to make good money from the bull market is to invest in small cap projects before they get big.

I’ve always asked gurus( that post is 100X and ask you to join their private telegram) this question but none of them ever give a detailed answer. All they say is DYOR, I mean I’m asking because I want to know how exactly to do my research. Can anyone give a detailed explanation on how to find new projects as they are launching before they gain attention.

Re: What every new trader should be focused on
by

I see a lot of newbie traders complain about lack of trading capital. And I want you to know that you are focused on the wrong thing. Your attention should be on focused on the trading skills first before worrying about the capital. Trading capital is not the most important thing in trading. The most important thing is mastering the skills. No matter how big your trading capital is, if you lack the trading skill you won't book any profit and will most likely blow your account. On the other hand, if you have the skill set, you will be able to handle and grow any trading capital into something substantial.
Contrarily you can't become a trading master with $100 as capital because it will restrict our decision making ability and also we should pay more to the transaction fee since we can't hold a pair when we see another pair is doing good.

Yes you are right. Trading with a small account size would limit your decision making. But you should also know that, trading with a huge account size without the right knowledge is like walking in a mine field, it's only a matter of time before you lose it all.

Re: The psychology of stoploss
by

It is highly irresponsible for any trader to trade without a stop loss. Because you don't have a specific amount you are risking per trade and what happens to your whole equity in a black swarm kind of market? You lose all your money. Stop loss protects your trading capital, absence of it is nothing but gambling.

We cannot really conclude that the NFT hype cycle is over yet, but i am sure it would come to an end soon. Because all the several hype in the crypto market always have an end. Check out the likes of ICO, IEO, Defi, etc. They all started with huge hype, but the hype died off later.

It is not a very smart decision to take a loan or borrow money to trade. You are simply putting yourself in big trouble. Because trading could be unpredictable at times and the result of every single trade is unique, so it is possible to lose all your money. You would also be trading with emotions which is what every trader should avoid.

I don't think there is a universal trading indicator. The indicator you use is dependent on your trading strategy. I personally use smart money concept as my strategy, so I don't make use of any indicators at all. So think of the indicator that fits your trading strategy.

There is an adage that says, the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago and the second best time is now. likewise, now is always a good time to build a good portfolio.

As regards the bear market, nobody can really predict the market, so it is best to eangage the market with caution and only invest what you are willing to lose.

Re: Which Cryptocurrency is best for long term investment?
by
pelumi20
on 22/09/2021, 21:15:44 UTC
Definitely Ethereum is the best coin for long term investment because it is second to bitcoin and the price is not near or close to bitcoin yet. So it still has a lot of room for growth. And it is more reliable than the other coins you listed. Its use case is also a factor to consider, as a lot of projects would still continue to adopt it.

Re: What is stop loss and how it works
by
pelumi20
on 22/09/2021, 20:57:51 UTC
Stop loss is a feature on trading exchanges or platform that enables the trader to set a price or range that he/she is not willing to lose more than the loss already incurred, so once the trade goes against him/her till the level of the stop loss, the exchange automatically closes the trade on their behalf. Unlike what you said, stop loss is not used to avoid loss, it is only used to minimize the extent of the loss.

Re: What every new trader should be focused on
by

It should be a complete set, you can't go to a battlefield with incomplete battle gear and weapons.
The most important is to focus on your skills and knowledge, creating different analyses and strategies, gaining experiences in different practices and beyond that, if you were successfully absorbing all those important things, the word profit is very easy for you.
Other traders should focus on their trading plan, new traders should have this to avoid misleading by others.

I understand your point. That you should have a trading capital plan too while learning. But I didn't say that they should totally ignore that. I just stated that it shouldn't be the main priority as the capital is useless without a trading skill.

Moreover, there are a lot of prop firm that are willing to offer you trading capital, once you pass their challenge to prove you are a good trader.

Re: Is it possible to make $5,000 a month day trading?
by

on 22/09/2021, 20:26:16 UTC
It is definitely possible to make $5,000 trading (even more) and it is also possible to lose everything. The deciding factor whether you will make profit or suffer huge losses is your trading ability. You cannot just expect to get into crypto trading and start making money right off the bat. You need to learn first before you even think of earning from the market.

The idea of using trading bots is just being lazy. Being lazy and inpatient to actually put in the time to learn the trading skill and trade yourself. The truth is that most of these trading bots are scam and will only lose you money. So take time to learning trading yourself.

Re: Why Cryptocurrency is not Legalized Despite the Many Benefits
by
pelumi20
on 21/09/2021, 22:14:46 UTC
The major reason why cryptocurrency is not legalised in most countries is because of its decentralized nature that is the Government have zero control over it. They cannot freeze it, tax it or since it. And it and it is obvious that the government will never legalize anything they can't control so it is hard for crypto to get legalized.

The first time I got into cryptocurrency was in February 2018 I was at the lowest point in my life and I was looking for a way to make money online. Then I met a friend who introduced me to cryptocurrency, Bounty Anthony to be specific and it was a turning point for me as I went on to make over $3000 that was how crypto changed my life.

Re: Things to know before trading.
by

For me the number one thing you should know before going into trading is that you are not going to get rich overnight as trading is a skill that requires time to master. So as a trader you have to be willing to submit to time and process you have to be dedicated and committed to mastering the skill before it can liberate you.

The number two thing you should know is that you are going to lose money, so don't beat yourself up when that happens.
