Re: Who is laughing now?

I did it and I will do it again.

I mean who is laughing now? Hehe, you must have come across my posts on here about how I sold few lands to buy some BTC at 17k, well some people thought it was a very bad idea.

I am not here again to confuse anyone, but I do have something to say, my other lands appreciated since two years ago now but brothers the amount isn't much, it is not even close to what I made from Bitcoin.

This is not bragging, but I think some risks are worth taking, I sold most of my BTC already at $102,000 and $105,000 already and I still went back and bought extra two lands.

I will pull this stunt again, because the trick is taking the risk when BTC is on a massive sell off or bear market again, probably in 2026, the strategy here is the buying period, when massive fear is in the market and price are very low do not be scared of taking risks.

If you would believe in crypto/tech you wouldn't sell it for fiat profit. I'm just laughing now.  Kiss

Re: Bitcoin from ATM without KYC
by

Hi,

I friend of mine bought recently some BTC from ATMs in Switzerland.

Because Switzerland has a limit of 1000 CHF per month without KYC on ATMs,
he bought 10 times 1000 each, with fake phone number.

He wasn't money laundering, just using his own legal money for HODL,
while he didn't want to do KYC.

Now he is wondering whether he might get problems cashing out in the future.

If his aim is to cashing out, he will do KYC sooner or later. This is how Banks/ FIAT world works.

I feel like Trump is less warlike than Biden, and I think he will put an end on the Ukrainian war, which is good for everyone.

Yeah, but the would be great to know in which way he should plan to end it, as there is not to many if any diplomatic scenario available...

maybe many people think that this ETH merger will make the gwei gas on transactions much lower as is the case with BNB which always stays at 5 gwei for transactions, this is what I expected and it didn't happen until the merger was successful a few hours ago, I was wrong the only one who believes that by merging transactions is much cheaper even though the gwei gas is not really lower than expected after the merger, but I congratulate ETH for successfully moving to the POS network, hope it can be cheaper in the future https://etherscan.io/gastracker

Who cares? More fee, more burn.

I'm a miner since 2016, but it's time to let POW go away. It was golden times, but POS is better in any way.

The Ethereum Merge Is Almost Here. What Could Go Wrong?

"#Ethereum is officially transitioning to a centralized blockchain on 15 September (the merge). 👇

I got proof. Four entities hold 60% of the network:

🔹 Lido - 31%
🔹 Coinbase - 14.7%
🔹 Kraken - 8.4%
🔹 Binance - 6.7%

Does anyone think this is NOT an issue?"

That's what a lot of people are waiting for! People like me who can't afford a high end mining gear can safely do pool staking once ETH moves to POS. Also the current competition of hash rate will disappear which will be great for the commoners like me. But the summer has just started so hopefully it will happen in next 2-3 months. Fingers crossed! But those people who have already invested in high end hardware to mine ETH, they will have to find a new coin to mine. That will be very interesting to see which coin becomes their preferred choice after the ETH moves to POS. Possibly a great investment opportunity awaits ahead for all of us if we can stay vigilant.

staking is death for eth.

it is why it is calling staking.

the vampire and leach on btc will soon be dead.

staking is a certain fail and can not work.

Why do you think that? Pow is outdated and not sustainable. From mining perpective, yes could be the end and thats just great (becuase of the way too much greedy miners.)

Usage of ETH will expand, with better scalability.

Re: Staking ETH: Is it worth it?
by
percy_tc
on 13/12/2021, 19:12:59 UTC
Getting 32 ETH to participate in staking isn't easy. At current market prices, not everyone will be able to become a validator to help secure the ETH blockchain. Of course, you can participate in staking with less than 32 ETH by making a deposit on a staking pool. But this involves trusting a third party, which is something crypto/Blockchain tech was meant to avoid in the first place.

As far as rewards are concerned, it's yet to be determined the annual returns you'll get when staking 32 ETH. There are other coins on the market with high stake rates of 20% APR and above. Taking this into account, I'm starting to wonder: Is it worth staking ETH? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

You can stake ETH for 23% APY payed out daily,  not lock you can take out anytime. No problems for me since 2019

Re: Ethereum's first ever deflationary day. What does this mean?
by
percy_tc
on 04/09/2021, 21:18:01 UTC
Basically it means that more ETH has been destroyed forever than it has been mined.

I don't think that this is anything exciting, it's just for more of an attention grabbing headline than anything else.

People are quick to jump to conclusions and hype up anything and everything imho. This is certainly a one-off event that is going to not be a very impactful event going into the future i think.

Well, its indeed exciting! Of course there is way too eraly for conclusions, but i hope that the st*pid miners now see the point of previous forks.

Re: ETH gas fee still high, London fork a failure?
by

We opposed 1559 and there were a lot of accusations about greedy miners who want to keep gas high.

No one really listened when we mentioned that 1559 may increase gas.

You dont get the point... 1559 is about to make fees more predictable and for burning ETH not to decrease gas directly.

I think Ethereum is now a complete joke, I thought the London fork solve high gas fee but I was surprised that the lowest gas fee today is a bit over 5$ on etherscan @ 3200$ per ETH?

You are a completele joke becuase you do not educate yourself but "talking" nonsense.

Re: Help confirm if this is LHR GPU or not
by

on 10/08/2021, 07:27:50 UTC
It's known that non lhr 3060ti, 3070 and 3080 are and have been going to big farms with contracts with gpu manufactures and lhr gpus are going to newegg, microcenter and so on, do not expect to find non lhr on retail or online shops.
I got a gigabyte rtx3060 ti two days ago locally and guess what? It's non LHR mining at full 61MH per second on hiveOS as we speak so I'm confused when you said all non LHR cards are going to some bigger farm leaving small farm owners

Can you share exact product nubmer? thanks!

This fork was such a stupid idea that just made fees more than before, and it will not solve any problem on Ethereum.

But the bigger problem is that with the POS, which is a blockchain variant of banking deposits, ethereum will get more centralized and declared as a security in USA. And this means more regulations and even bans like the ICOs.
Can ETH get more centralized then it is now? Smiley Sure it can with switching to POS.

So you mean that fork was not a good idea ? Wouldn't they knew before what will be the impact on fee after this fork ?
I think over the passage of time, burning of eth on every tanscation will make it a scare asset and it will eventually increase in demand.
I would like to see if there is good signafinant impact on fee after few days of the fork.

Fee is already normal. London fork is not about to lower fees, its about to make it predictable by make it automatic instead of manual/user bidding.

Besides of that transaction fees are burning which is indeed a good thing in long run.

Wow finally the most anticipated eip1559 already live at block 12,965,000  Congrats to eth developers salute to all of you for making this happen you can see on the sites below the eth already burned stats

EIP-1559 base fee and burn dashboards
https://ethburned.info
https://etherchain.org/burn
https://watchtheburn.com
https://ultrasound.money

Everything is done. ETH's London upgrade just took place - including EIP-1559. The Ethereum blockchain may split into two chains, resulting in the creation of two ETH tokens. All of Ethereum's community members deserve congratulations.

It's exciting! What will happen now? Since the ETH gas fee is ridiculously high, how is this supposed to solve anything?

The block reward remains  2eth, nothing is reduced. Which is ridiculous of course.

thats nuts... This is what suppose to happen. No more 2++ block rewards.  Shocked

would be interested to learn more on the subject if anyone actually ever done this, thanks!

Those were Fifa bots, not miners.
