Although Moonbeam quickly gathered attention from enthusiasts  in recent time, I was very suprised to find almost no discussion of this long-awaited project on BitcoinTalk.

Moonbeam provides an Ethereum-compatible smart contract platform that makes it easy to build natively interoperable applications. Moonriver (MOVR) (Moonbeam’s Sister Project) is a smart contract blockchain that supports Ethereum decentralized applications, Moonriver is intended to operate on Kusama as a parachain and provide a full EVM implementation, a Web3-compatible API and bridges that connect Moonriver to existing Ethereum networks. Its' surely a huge piece of news, but reality is such BTC payments are subject to change due to price fluctuations and such payments may take long to receive. Guess it would make more sence to accept payment in some other faster, cheaper and less volatile ctypto. But nevertheless it's very promising.

Coming weeks surely will be big, Grayscale customers will be receiving the equivalent of over 40,000 BTC bitcoins this month. A huge test for BTC support.

I think that this right here is one of the main reasons crypto isn't considered serious by many people, it's just some "dog coins" for many.
