Is it possible to auto confirm "Clean (Failed)" Miners after a Time Out or toggle the feature?

I get a pool connect issue with gminer on nicehash sometimes that results in failed miner status:

I get frequent restarts during periods, I have "restart on low hashrate" and high ASIC failures disabled.  In kernel Log:

Dec 13 03:00:53 (none) local0.err cgminer[20481]: low hashrate detection trigger: 13760.256000 Gh/s

"low hashrate detection trigger: 13760.256000 Gh/s"  <----  Does it force the trigger even though I have it disabled? Maybe it could be too sensitive as well.  Maybe the pool or rapid coin switching causing a temporary hash drop which triggers the restart too easily?

Do your fans also run at different RPMs?

To keep the temps the same as the other batch d3's (80 degrees average during the day, 70 at night Silent Auto), 17.2 GHS average,  I have to run the latest batch d3 at "Default auto"

Fan speeds
Batch October/beginning November fans:
Daytime:   xxxx /3980 RPM  sound is concentrated on the inside of casing, less audible outside.  With stock firmware fans run at xxxx/4500+ RPM.
Nighttime: 2160/3210 RPM

Batch end November fans:
Daytime:   4xxx /5800 RPM  very loud, different sound than first model fans, like it's concentrated on the outside of the casing, sound is heard even at a distance.
Nighttime: 3090/4080 RPM

Quote
Good to hear your d3 is fine!  Grin

You can replace the fans with some other models. I actually run mine now with two Scythe Slip Stream Slim 2000rpm, 120mm. This is of course not the solution if you want to run at high hashrates, but for the lowest voltage setting and 15 to 16 Mh/s this is a real nice and quiet fan.
I also modded the PSU: I added a small fan controller to have it run at half the RPM. Now this combination is actually really silent. I can have it run it in my living room if I want to.

Thanks for the advice blissz, will definitely look into those fans as well, anything to help being able to live with these things lol.  I also bought some 6" inch and 12" Acoustic Ducting.  Plan to strap the 6 inch ducts to the fans and put the whole machine into the 12 inch duct as well and wire all the ends to separate windows to the outside with mesh over the openings (got some nice bug splatter already).

Thank you for the fan fix blissz, couldn't replicate the problem, but had a feeling it had to do with when there's a network interruption, much relieved it's fixed.  Had chips go to 114 degrees on one machine before I noticed and quickly intervened.  Error rate was higher than normal after that on that machine even after restarting, but after a short cooldown period they are working perfectly again, guess I dodged a bullet.

Also received my end Nov batch d3 and the fans on this model is of a poorer quality, different model, lower amp and much louder than the fans on other batches, a shame since my other d3's were all much quieter with the custom firmware and now the new machine just tops out the overall noise level again.

Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (23/11 update available!)

Hi blissz,  firmware made a big difference to my temps and the noise reduction is God sent thank you, but then at random one of my d3's was overheating 100 degrees+.   I noticed the fan speed being around 2000rpm instead of 3800-4500rpm.

I flashed official bitmain firmware on that machine then few hours later one of the other d3's did the same after a network interruption and coming back online again that machine also stuck at around 2000rpm resulting in 100 degrees+ and super high hardware errors.

Please look into this issue as the firmware really makes a difference, but is not worth the risk if the fan gets stuck at 2000rpm.  The red light on the machine flashes instead of the green when this happens.

Rebooting fixes the stuck 2000rpm fan issue temporarily.  It will happen on any of the fan profiles as well as when I set a custom fan speed of 50%.  It seems it might have something to do with when the fan speeds are suppose to spin up loud at startup, since it's quiet at startup now I think it gets stuck there and never ramps up again to the desired fanspeed but stays stuck at that 2000rpm mark.

Havs anyone else encountered this?

Maybe it can be made so it doesn't have to close and open clamore-eth miner every time when pool changes from one ethash coin to another and only open a new miner if the algo is different eg. Ethash coin to Equihash coin.

everything looks fine its just switching algo....from timetravel to something else is it switching or is it just hanging?? my 1.7.2-zpool test rig is not having any problems..

Yes hanging and no mining after after:

[2017-05-06 20:54:33] ...terminating workio thread

, but so far it hasn't done it again.  I was thinking maybe my internet connection got interrupted for a while and doesn't auto reconnect and after testing this by purposely interrupting my internet it actually reconnected fine and continued mining after showing:

[2017-05-07 16:41:21] Stratum connection interrupted

*** ccminer alexis-1.0 for nVidia GPUs from alexis78@github ***

so not sure what made the them hang the other two times without retrying.  If it does happen again I'll just check if it's always the same place.

I find that it switches perfectly from "claymore-zec" to "claymore-eth", when say EXP becomes more profitable than ZCL, but it never switches (back) from "claymore-eth" to "claymore-zec" when say ZCL becomes more profitable than EXP.

Hi, yes both of them are exactly the same Powercolor Red Devil RX480's, the crossfire option was always missing. I saved their own bios's modded them individually with memory straps from 1650 (1500 causes color pixels on screen) and re flashed and still no crossfire available.  Re flashed to default bios still no crossfire.  What I still want to try is re flash to default bios again uninstall and install driver without using  atikmdag-patcher.exe.  Just hoped someone might know for sure if it's because of either using a custom bios or the patcher before I go through all the trouble again.

Re: Beware of Increasingly Sophisticated Malware Infection Attempts

My ethmining is being hijacked.

Ok so this morning after waking up one of my rigs was mining on nicehash, but I was mining on miningpoolhub and didn't specify a failover.  In my logs I discovered reboot.bat file was uploaded through ethman.exe and ran remotely.

I reckon that's why Claymore said in his readme:
"Warning: use negative option value or disable remote management entirely if you think that you can be attacked via this port!"

I had it on a positive number in order to manage, but how did a hacker get access over the internet to manage my miner. I consider myself paranoid careful and usually take all precautions.  Is this a mistake on my side or is it just that easy to access someone's EthDcrMiner64 remotely? Does this mean files might be compromised or is it more like someone has my external IP, will a vpn make a difference? Any advice is appreciated.

I replaced my Claymore folder with a new one and made most files inside read-only, but how do I know I am not still compromised, how much access does this hacker have now and what should I do to ensure further safety?  As you can see inside the reboot.bat file the hacker's bitcoin address: "1D8J2tkRbt5R7TNZKdBYdq8qx2aJDFqU1M" is busy stealing quite a nice sum of equihash at the moment.

Thank you, love this Smiley  One more thing, last night I disabled Autosell settings on Zec "Enable >>" blue text to white text and this morning my Zec was sold anyway, awesome feature though and mostly I want to autosell was just for testing so you might also look into that.
