P.S:: I am very new to this field. So pardon me if I am missing something and guide me (senior and legendary members) what additional info I can provide here to increase my level of trust.
Your business will look legitimate if you find a trusted member who will escrow a good amount of money from you as a security that whatever collateral you will take from the clients you will return it after they repay you. If you go for no collateral loan then be aware about scammers. They will run away with your money. Deal only with trusted members in the community.

Thank you so much.
So I need to deposit some btc to escrow service provider ? How much that escrow  service provider  will charge

not exactly, borrower will send usdt to escrow provider, after confirmation you will funding borrower.
Here is  escrow provider  with their price lists https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897.0

What's the recommended collateral one should accept?

Based on my observations on the Lending subforum, it's mainly requests from trolls that are not serious or just plain scammers.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5368349.0

They would post some sob story, then upon being called out by the seniors, start to show their true colors. Happens with the sock puppets or alt accounts.

If you're a lender, the safest and easiest collaterals would be highly liquid crypto (e.g. ETH/ BTC/ LTC). They don't take too long to transfer and miles better in terms of fees + anonymity.

Secondary would be physical items, but appraising them is difficult because of the shipment time and also the need to find the right buyer.

Accounts, very rare because they could almost always be recovered by the owner under the pretense of "getting hijacked/ hacked"

According to my research so far, I think best way to get profit is to get interest in usdt. Since it doesn't depreciate in value.  Moreover loan must be given in usd,  so you get your money back. If loan is in btc chances are you may lose money in return of loan.

You forgot to say what kind of lender and collateral OP should accept. Note not all lender/user here can be trusted even just $20 lending amount is possible to lost the same to collaterals. I suggest you (OP) to check and read the lenders threads to for reference if you're going to have a lending business.

Borrower requests loan from lender. Lender specify the interest rates and terms, with collateral requirement upfront. Borrower agrees, and sends over the collateral (default between 110 - 120% loan value). Lender receives collateral, sends over loan to borrower.

Everything goes smoothly, borrower returns funds borrowed. Lender then returns the collateral.

I have read that lending threads they are mostly not active as gambling threads are active. Secondly there are more borrowers then lenders and one need to be very careful with collateral.
What type of collateral one should accept if you are starting lending on bitcointalk.org?

Better to offer another services (e.g. design, lending, etc) and be professional, don't need to think how to gain trust because it's subjective similar as merit.

I saw lending service also. Its like giving someone 100$ for one month n getting 110$ in return. How secure is that service for me (I mean its SCAM FREE)? Lastly, how to get started with this

Everything starts as newbie and good thing is you're asking for opinions.

Thank you so much for your encouragement. What I learn so far regarding escrow is that first I have to get trust of members here by doing some trade and getting +trust. Building reputation that's displayed with profile is important.
So if you can answer my another question i.e. how to do p2p trading with people of high ranks and wh forum is right place for that.

I have some crypto that is just sitting in my wallet. I came across escrow service like this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5154777.0 . My question is can a member of my rank also provide such service or its for only high ranks? How much minimum crypto I have to start this service? Lastly, how can I start this if I m eligible for this service. Thanks

Am the only one wondering why  Kavelj22 gave OP 3x merits for such shit?

I need to know why my above post is removed? I even didn't received a message that my post is removed. Whats going on ?

Asking why a senior member Kavelj22 is giving merits to such post is an offense or is he promoting him?

Can somebody answer that please. Before this message also gets deleted.

My Journey : Doubling my BTC investment
by

on 09/02/2021, 20:01:59 UTC
My this post is linked with my previous post. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5251838.0

Before current bull run I have 0.1 BTC in my wallet when BTC was trading across 10k. I thought I bought BTC at much high price and it wont go up from here on wards. But things charged.
I am lucky enough to double enough my investment in BTC, thanks to current bull run. I sold my holdings at 30K and I am happy that I am able to get good return. No investment can give such return as BTC is giving to its HODLERS.

If a novice person like me can invest successfully in BTC then anyone with little knowledge can do the same.

I see a lot of newbie accounts giving positive feedback. I would like to hear the thoughts of a more experienced bitcointalk user to be honest.

Is there a mining calculator available for MASS? Let's say I start mining with 1TB. How many MASS coins would that bring me per day, week, month, etc.?
Note: I'm not interested just in the profitability, but that's a way to make me dig more into the project. Wink

You may read this reply to get an idea of how much reward you get againest your staked HDD https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230593.msg55154105#msg55154105

You may follow this if you wanna start mining MASS https://docs.massnet.org/en/getting-started/how-to-run-a-mainnet-wallet-node/

So it took you six months to accumulate $1,200 worth of BTC? I'm not sure what's so impressive about that.

I personally dollar-cost-average (DCA) my way into Bitcoin each month through Coinbase. I've been doing it for around 4 years now, I find it's much more simple that way.

For anybody who is considering doing something similar. I sincerely suggest simply using DCA to buy into Bitcoin, don't wait for crypto payments...
Whether it is small or big, we have to see how OP managed to do his plan. We should not believe the money or btc he did but how he dedicated to follow his investment strategy. Who knows how big his capital?

My suggestion to everyone out there is to invest as much as you can in bitcoin. Since we are in very uncertain situatoon and Bitcoin may be our new savior.

That is what most users here suggests. Better to invest as much as we can in bitcoin over time. In the future, its value is something that we will never expect. But it would much better if we invest in other popular cryptos too. It is best not to invest in just one crypto and try to divide our investment into different crypto.
Invest as much as we can but we should be ready to lose that funds. It is really risky in investing cryptocurrency because no can predict it directly. Therefore, we can`t really decide on when it gonna be pump and withdraw our investment. But I am pretty sure that BTC will reach and overpass its ATH soon.

Thank you for the support.
Many of you are from countries where crypto can be easily traded between peers and on exchanges. I m from country where crypto is completely  ban and recently police arrested people who were mining BTC. In such country catering 0.1 btc is not an easy thing.

I started my journey of gathering btc in Dec 2019, with aim to accumulate 0.1 BTC. After 6 months I managed to accumlate 0.1 BTC. My original intention was to stop accumulation as soon as I have 0.1 btc but now I think I should go for 1 btc.
My suggestion to everyone out there is to invest as much as you can in bitcoin. Since we are in very uncertain situatoon and Bitcoin may be our new savior.
Goog luck to everyone.

Edit. Many senior member asked to do share the path. I am a freelancer writer on crypto and blockchain. In December 2019, one of my client offered to pay me in btc, just for a trial I accepted his offer. It was just 20 USD but after that my primary mode of receiving payments became btc. Since in btc you get complete payment without any middlemen and within few hours. Honestly I realized benefits of btc after I received my first payment of 20 USD before that I thought its just a buzz word.

That's a pretty cool achievement to be honest.
There are very few people in the community who had made hige money in Bitcoin, without investing a single penny from the pocket.
Yes i too agree that they had done many hard work to earn that starting amount in Bitcoin.
Many people started collecting Bitcoins by hunting bounties, completing micro jobs online.
And i really salute to all of them for their hard work.
Hope you quickly convert your 0.1 BTC to 1 BTC op.
Good luck for your future.

Thank you so much everyone.
Crypto dont work here in my country unfortunately, but I can use it so many ways like send BTC to someone and buy items and other things like that.

Crypto market is getting mature with every coming day. I see cloud mining sites like OXBTC as good options as they gave you good return on your saved money.
There are many factors that govern return like BTC price, cost of mining equipment, electricity bill. You have to calculate all these before you invest in OXBTC.
