Better sell it on ebay.  You won't get near that $2400 bid here.  But good luck not getting scammed.

while i would never wish ill thoughts onto him, the fact is people get hit by a bus everyday.

people get heart attacks every day, people travel to other countries and catch a bad flu and pass away in short notice, people get poisoned by jealous husbands for screwing their wives, and so on and so forth.

perhaps he is being held hostage for non-bitcoin-related reasons, perhaps he is in a federal PMITA prison serving life sentence for some non-bitcoin-related charges.

that means we will never get to know him.

It really doesn't matter.  People die all the time, and the current devs have proved themselves competent enough to continue his vision.

If nobody filed a lawsuit against Yifu for screwing over all those Avalon and board buying groups, there is no way people are going to sue cryptsy.  Figure out a way to resolve your problems without involving the court system.  Nobody takes empty threats seriously here, and when you don't follow through with them, you lose your credibility.

What a disaster.  I hope someone has the balls to sue Yifu finally, instead of just threatening to and hoping that will be enough to get him to do something.  He won't.

I was in the third batch (cost: 50 BTC) and also purchased a second blade from the ongoing hardware thread for 50 BTC.

I have received nothing, but was told to e-mail my address to friedcat, which I did 3 days ago. Sad  Sounds like they are getting caught up so hopefully I will receive something, but I don't know what.

I understand you're upset.  If I didn't care I wouldn't be here.  (tho I am going to pass out soon.  exhausted.)

yifu? is that you?  i hope this isn't bad for your chi, but perhaps YOU should have thought this through before doing something like this.  go rest in mommy's bed now and come back when you've had your nappy time.

Any ETA on the 0.1's?

They are now online!  9 BTC for a roll of 20, and they turned out SWEET.

I also had a professional photographer come and take pictures of the whole set.  Assuming no copyright barriers, I'd love to include a burned CD of high quality imagery with future orders!  Until I get the full files of the shoot, here is a quick shot I took with my iPhone of one of the setups we did.

(picture of shiny packaging justifying 450% markup removed)

So I can pay you 0.45 BTC to receive 0.1 BTC in shiny packaging?  I thought that kind of greedy markup only took place with ASIC mining hardware.

That must have been a hell of a photographer!

I have send fiedcat a pm asking fo the timeframe.

This is the response I received.  Can't say I understand it, but it sounds like September 16 there will be more info or a new post to clarify:

Quote
Hi,

Here is the timeline:

Now - continuously supply of block erupter USBs
September 16 - restocking of new blades
October 7 - releasing of newer products

We would compensate with new blades or a combination of the above three. But anyhow we will start compensating(collecting information and shipping) at September 16.

Best regards,

friedcat

Re: Official Avalon mining rig clones thread from bitmine.ch (NOW SHIPPING)
by

After having successfully delivered batch #1 of the Avalon clones, the delays caused by the manufacturer of the Avalon chips has forced us to cancel the prepaid orders for batch #2 + #3 and to offer to the affected customers two options to choose from.

Bitsyncom llc, the manufacturer and supplier of the Avalon chips that are of critical importance to our Avalon clones products, publicly admitted to have completely lost the control on their stock of chips and finally offered full refunds to the buyers that, like us, bought big batches of chips to manufacture and sell Avalon based devices. This situation forces us to cancel the scheduled orders from batch #2 + #3, for which we already filed a formal refund request, but leaves us with important financial damages as a consequence of stocking and manufacturing all the needed electronic and mechanical parts. We understand that our customers have no responsibility for this so we are offering the following two options for batch #2 and #3 customers:

A - UPGRADE) This option is a one time deal where you will be able to freely shop and buy any existing CoinCraft-based products for 150% of the originally paid amount of your Avalon-based order. Once you opt for this, your existing Avalon order will be cancelled and you will receive a personal and not transferable coupon that has 50% more value than the amount you already paid us and that can be spent on any of our products currently available for preorder. For example, if you paid $5000 for an Avalon clone, you will receive a $7500 coupon that will let you buy a CoinCraft Desk 1 TH/s miner for FREE and leave you with $401 of credit to spend on yet another miner as per your wishes. Please note that the coupon must be fully spent and that any remaining credit cannot be paid back to you. Also, any new purchase will be subject to our new Terms of Sale and as such it is protected by our Customer Protection Plan.

B - REFUND) While we did the best to make an attractive upgrade offer and we believe that we reached the goal, we understand that some customers have spent more money than they could afford and just want a refund. A full refund has always been promised and given to all the customers that asked for it before we started manufacturing the devices, but the situation now is different because most parts of your order are already manufactured. Anyway, we are allowing you to choose this option and get refunded of the amount paid for your order less a 20% fee which, while much lower than the actual losses, we believe is a fair deal. The amount will be credited to your original bank account in the original currency (or Bitcoin wallet, if you paid this way) within 30 days and is subject to prior refunding of the Avalon chips from Bitsyncom.

The affected customers will receive an e-mail today with the above mentioned options and a request to express their will. If an option is not expressed within 30 days starting from today, we will automatically choose option A for you.

Please note that this offer is not valid for the batch #1 customers that already got their units, these users will receive a separate upgrade offer in the next days so stay tuned!

It looks like you guys spent a lot of money to get your assembly plant up and running.  I hope you sue yifu and recoup all the money for lost sales due to his delay.

It's hard to say.  I have yet to come across a real, live human other than myself that uses bitcoin.  I don't see the point in going to bitcoin meetups, and it simply is not common enough to see men and women buying coffee with it yet.

So I can only go by what I see online.  And it's a giant sausagefest in the bitcointalk forums and on reddit.  I'd have to say no, there are no women who use bitcoin.

A sample size of 7.  Clearly you've done your research.

i have been studing economics and statistics.

Please remind me such event in the past. This is an indicator of new era. Community mining is shrinking...

First you claim it's dead.  Then with a little resistance, you then say it is "shrinking."  If I simply said "no it isn't," maybe your next reply will be "It is growing."

Don't make sensationalist claims and then you won't have to rephrase what you really mean. Wink
