Potcoin Developer Update: Dec 2nd 2016
Hello Everyone,
We wanted to give everyone a quick update of what we've been working on. As promised, we will make our best efforts to keep the community aware of what we are doing and working on. We believe being the most transparent possible will yield the best possible outcome.
The Beta version launch of our PotWallet App was a great success. We thank all beta testers for their valuable feedback. We are looking into submitting the Apps to the corresponding stores (Apple, Google, Microsoft) in early 2017.
Our team has grown to 4 full time developers as we continue to build the systems necessary to make Potcoin and PotWallet scale to high volume transactions. We will be announcing our 100% refactored version of PotWallet in the beginning of 2017 as well. This version will include a revamped interface, new features, drastically improved scalability and security. We are also building extensive WEB plugins and extensions to make Potcoin easily acceptable on all platforms (magento, wordpress, shopify, etc...)
As legalization is fast approaching in Canada, we are striving to make sure all our systems are GO to accommodate the flow of new Potcoin users and transactions. We are currently in negotiation with many MMJ Licensed Producers in Canada in order to accept Potcoin and offer it as a reward system to their patients. They are very excited about Potcoin and see the many benefits of a system like that for patients, producers, doctors and everyone involved in the industry.
2017 is going to be a big year for Potcoin and PotWallet. Many exciting news and developments to come.

Thats great. now please answer my emails. I cannot transfer the full potcoin ballance from potwallet to my windows wallet. It says error sending potcoins notifying you guys. Sometimes 1 or 2 will transfer, but anything over that it errors. please help!

Have an issue taking coins out of the online potwallet. Finally getting my coins to a wallet for staking. But it errors on trying to transfer the full amount. sometimes i can get 1 or 5 to move but then next it errors out. Anyone else ever had this issue or know if there can be anything done without getting the devs involved?
I seen the price around 2000 satoshi per POT on coin-swap today. 
You're seeing the selling price near that. The buyers are still locked below 1100, with mintpal going towards sub-1000.
I just want to go on record as saying this should be a lesson to the people that shouted for a halving because the coin was getting driven down in price. The price per block is now worse than before. I know the crypto world is down as a whole, but this is just silly. The lesson here is that laws of supply and demand, specifically supply, don't always apply to crypto the way you think they will.
Im sorry you feel that way but, we asked the community all over and all.networks and here and everyone feels that their are to many coins be mined daily and not enough use yet so the best solution is to halve the block reward.

LOL... there aren't enough uses yet, so you're going to limit the amount of coins being generated. Why not push harder on finding uses for the coin? This seems completely backwards in thinking. Halving the reward will make the coin unprofitable until the price goes up to balance things out. The price won't go up until there are more uses for the coin and there is a higher demand for it. You are absolutely dense if you think this block halving is a good idea... especially if it's "because there aren't enough uses for the coin".
You say you asked the community... so where's the poll? Where is the community vote? Did some 2 week old account tell you "you should halve the reward so it'll go to the moonz!"? This is idiotic, at best.

I wonder how much of a turn off calling it POT instead of PTC is for some merchants. I still don't get that one. I naturally wanna call it PTC, it just feels right to me.
How could that be a turnoff?? Merchants Potcoin are targeting are already selling legal cannabis, seeds or accessories. POT is fine, three letters giving an accurate description of what it is. PTC could stand for Peer Transfer Coin or whatever
I can't convince you it would be if you don't think it would be. You are correct in the sense that if they are selling this type of stuff they shouldn't mind it, and i guess i am thinking in a more broad sense of potcoin gaining acceptance outside of the pot community, maybe i am thinking about things wrong. Someone out there might not like it, and i personally think seeing POT out there looks stupid, i don't like it, but to each their own. Glad you do like it.
Potcoin had a good presence at the 4/20 event, but what I'm really waiting for is people tweeting or putting on facebook stuff like "I just bought weed with Potcoin!". It should be in your face to an extent, this is a political statement after all.
But at least I can use it onlineEveryone does realize that you can use POT on many different websites to purchase everything from shoes and sunglasses to pipes. If you say what is the point of this coin when banks are allowing debit/CC or there is mediswipe, then what is the point of having BTC or DOGE. The whole point of POT is to make it cheaper for not only dispensaries but head shops and online retailers. They use this coin and save on fees from credit card companies. If you think this coin is pointless why are you getting involved with the forums. Move on to something that you feel makes since to you!!
Everyone has to know for the Crypto world to become a huge success and viable for every retailer in the world to use, there will have to be some sort of regulation by governments and some sort of tax. Otherwise it will all end up in the gutter. If there is no regulation or taxation then most govts will ban it and then most retailers at least most legit retailers will not accept crypto coins. It is all a work in progress that will be a huge success in the coming years. Everyone should use their coins as often as possible to promote this world.

This may be nothing more than old fashioned 51% attack... I am having blocks disappearing from my wallet... blocks with many confirmations... mined hours ago.
If there is a private conglomerate with enough hash-power to take the network difficulty from the 30's into the 100's... 500 plus... that is more than enough hash-rate to launch a 51% attack.
The POT dev team better get to bottom of this real quick as this will completely unravel any credibility that POT may have as a usable currency.
