wafflepool and middlecoin are on par in the last 24hr...

+1, just as clevermining by the way. I've switched from middlecoin to wafflepool a week ago and payouts are merely the same. You don't need to switch if you want to get payed better, the only reason could be better support (wafflepool), better website (clevermining) or don't switch at all. I was just tired of no communication and all the issues.

I can understand this; but what really is there to communicate beyond what has been communicated already via the Twitter posts and IRC?

It's obvious that all of the "lost shares" and percentages of those lost shares don't have a significant impact and the other pools aren't better where it counts.

On top of that you get higher than average payouts on Middlecoin than you get on these other pools.

So long story short; with all of the hoopla and hype people have been talking about these other pools they boil down to no big reason to switch.

Where it counts is putting money in my bank account.  The past week or so middlecoin hasn't been doing that, it is dropping my hashrate and accepting my work but I am not getting paid for that work.  In my opinion it is pretty foolish to work for someone for free under the premise it may pay out for you in the end.

I would rather put my work into a pool that is paying me for my work.

The twitter thing is a laughable support tool.  Real issues are brought up in this thread and no reply's are ever made to them, not even on this magical twitter feed.  One day it just may be fixed and start working right or it won't but you don't really know and just have to hope that it does. Why support a pool that makes attempts at fixing errors you bring up, I can go to the clevermining thread and get a nice courteous reply to an issue.  Hell on reddit he replied to one of my threads about a problem a few days after to let me know that he had finally fixed the issue.  this was after he at least replied and let me know he would look into it.

You don't see that here.  Other than twitter (which I don't use) or the contact link which half assed takes you here, he has no other means of contact on his page.

You may or may not be on the other end of the spectrum some day, but if you are like myself and others and have to just play the waiting game you could understand our complete frustration with how this whole operation works.  If he can't fix it, great let me know so I can switch to a different pool till you get your shit sorted out.  Not waste my time being unprofitable.

To me those are pretty good reasons to switch.

If you read back this is ongoing.  My profits have dropped to around .007-.008?btc MH since the servers got switched around.  I am not the only person experiencing this. go back a page and there are three of us discussing this exact issue happening to all of us.

remember though this is about the time that BTC (and altcoins too) fell against the USD, and it's continued to decline.  it's hard to separate out that from pool issues.

It is quite easy when you have others saying they are still getting .011-.013btc day.

So I setup quota's and fallovers to try out clevermining

40% to uswest
40% to useast
20% to clevermining

Anyone wager a guess which one made more money overnight?

Depends how long ago you set it up and what your unexchanged balances were at the time of the switch.  You probably have to let them reach equilibruim before starting to compare.

I try and sync my changes with payout time.

my immature was .022 last night before bed, now it is .021, so it has gone down .001 and would actually lower my actual balance

Clevermining registers under 1 mh of power average for 24 hours and it made me  .0078 @ 20%

Middlecoin registers 2.9mh for their three hour window and i have made .0066 @ 80%

my chart has a bunch of cutouts through the night.  Tell me there isn't something messed up with that picture

My workers are solid at ~4MH - but middlecoin wanders from 1.5 to 4.2 mhash all over the place
http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1KkfPxwQTsTawfuFgPxn78DuVvdJUxpcvv.html

miners are all pointed at USwest

same as mine on useast...just switched over to uswest, so much for that idea.

But why the jumping all over? It doesn't look like I'm doing any work in Middlecoin's eyes Smiley How do I know my miners aren't doing all this hashin for nothin? Tongue

useast has terrible rejects it seems, my ping isnt good to amsterdam but the payout is better there

sigh, why are things different on different servers? do the stats actually represent work you do on all servers combined? what if one user/wallet was doing work on all the different servers simultaneously? (letting work overflow through pool list in cgminer, ie not running with --failover-only) ...

Those are all the million dollar questions.

How has it been today?

.016 btc. Monitor has gone off 5 times to tell me  I am below 1.9 on a 3 my miner.

Even my good days I am only making about  .011per mh.

What has your reject rate been like? At least based on what you wrote you won't be doing much better on wafflepool or clevermining.com

Check their states; they are at 0.010~0.011 btc right now (per 1 MH/s hash rate)

Before the update to all servers running  the new  beta code I was getting g 6-8% rejects with zero "disconnects". Now I get 1-2 and middle coin drops my connection. I use the term disconnect loosely because I am still connected and sending valid work. But middlecoin says I am not and it shows in my payout.  I am making .007-.008 a day?  I can definitely beat that.

It used to be I would have a nice consistent connection and moderately high rejects and my pay was good.  .035 a day good.

Other than the last big dump of unexchanged I have been .02 a day or less and my connection, stats and middlecoin monitor says it is down even though my miner is working.

I was fine with the problems when I was still getting paid but now I can actually see my profits and stats drop.  I will be checking out my other pool options.

Like the pool, wasting shares due to disconnects though.

Whenever you get it sorted I will be back.

We have already noticed these differences.

It seems you can't estimate your payout only by taking some dudes' payouts with the same hashrate.

There are  so many parameters that you don't know from the server: accepted shares, stale shares (and btw do you submit your stale shares?), discarded works, gpus used, PSU, drivers, OS, settings in config files, mod miners, network connections...

I've been mining on 2 different servers (eu and east) these last days: I didn't notice huge differences (same coins mined at -almost- the same time on the 2 servers). I may be wrong but I don't think the differences depend on which server you are.

That just does not seem fair or right. Hardware should be irrelevant once the server accepts my work and tells me I have XX.XXX hashrate. The server is accepting (as verified in stats) 3.6mhash or more of my work an I get paid for less than peers that do the same work.

I decided to split my rigs apart with one on a different address shortly after payout time.  The main rig (2.2mhash) is sitting at .013/.020 BTC overnight, the other rig (1.4mhash) got .0047/.0025

If youse got some latency, try adding --no-submit-stale to your .bat file. Ain't no use in chasing after shares you can't get if others can get em first because of better latency. h2o says to leave it on because the staled shares might be due to a coin switch but that's only 1 possible reason and if you're getting those type of reject rates, you're wasting hashing power chasing after stales.

So I have something interesting I found today.

Here is my hashrate.

http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1D8D29KxcmPqHsmiypHcEdCc5HqnjYgat.html
Here are 3 other users with a same overall hashrate

http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1UYijXkzZh4qqQKUkHPeRfbELF3XKmWye.html  <<< very close rate and he makes double what I make

http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1B2cs9cyAcmNKPjoGdGNUL92FToKSUQaXc.html <<< This guy has the same rate as me, I have been watching it all day and he is making almost double what I am in a day

http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1D8D29KxcmPqHsmiypHcEdCc5HqnjYgat.html   <<< This one is lower at first but gets higher at the end.. but notice how the earlier payments are similar to mine with double the rate.

I have very few rejects, my pings are 25-35ms, my machines run 24/7.  No odd messages on my screen when running and I have ran it on litecoin/wdc/doge/etc before with no issues.  Why are they making way more than me?  Seems the sharing part of the pool needs tweaking if we are all mining the same and yet I barely make what someone with half the power is making?

edit: I don't have no submit stale

Makes for some pretty low W/U

Mining & no shares ?!

I had this same problem last night, except I had a single share that never went away, it got up to 886%  it was the final straw with fast pool for me.  I turned on anon and mined for 4 hours and received 0 coins. looked at the block history and we had got a few blocks, restarted my miner and confirmed it was sending valid blocks. I turned off anon and almost instantly 500 coins.  I am going to mine WDC again, I can make almost the same as Doge and not have my miner sitting either with a dead server or not counting my work.

Honestly you should lock down the frontend website, turn off everything other than registration for new users, hide all items that show user names or stat of that nature unless logged in.

Someone is brute forcing all your accounts that is why you are all constantly locked out.

That and the downtime is what is killing fast pool.

I also have a serious support thread issue with fast-pool where it counted my hashes (and I assume anyone else that has turned on anon account) for the last 4 hours since a reboot and paid out ZERO coins.  I checked my miner and even rebooted cgminer and it was still counting zero.  I had a very low count 1% of invalids so for the last 4 hours it was accepting my work and not paying me for it Sad

As soon as I turned it off anon account I had 500 doge in a matter of minutes.

Just saying hello, I actually just want to reply in a support thread for my pool but I have to do the whole substantial post and waiting game

Anyway so this is my intro, currently mining on some 7870's and a single 7970 and 280x.

Hi!
