yeah drivers where totally new. Will check virtual memory also.
I found in the config file a line where it said disabled card. I deleted the line and tried again. Seems to be working now and mining in 30 Mh/s but the question is if the error makes it slower or something else. Or just ignore?

Hi! Trying to run nicehash miner but getting this error:
CUDA version: 11.0, CUDA runtime: 8.0 No OpenCL platforms found Available GPUs for mining: GPU1: GeForce GTX 1080 (pcie 1), CUDA cap. 6.1, 8 GB VRAM, 20 CUs
I have reinstalled drivers and restarted computer. I also fiddled with the CUDA P2 setting with on and off and restarting
Any ideas why it is showing the error?

Thanks yes that was kind of my approach to it, speculate in some new altcoins that are easier to mine where I can get some volume, wait for a while and hope for the best
If nicehash is kind of doing this, but in a easier way perhaps that is the way to go.
WIll however think about ethereum directly also

Hi! Yesterday I read about mining and saw nicehash. Downloaded and tried it on my GTX 1080. Got around 36 Mh/s (140w) with the pill. Looking ok. Then I thought is it not better to focus on an altcoin? I just found ravencoin and decided to mine ravencoin for a bit. With unMineable I got around 26Mh/s (95w) and because I am totally new and have no idea what I am doing, my question is; should I just use nicehash and let it do it's thing or is there any advantage to focus on a specific coin?
Thanks all, and if you have a guide somewhere where I can easily understand what I am doing that would be swell
