Re: So what do you think about the Bitcoin Cash Fork?... BTCABC & BTCSV
by

on 17/11/2018, 09:58:32 UTC
I watched it unfold live on the Tone Vays stream... brilliant coverage and insight

So whose going to win out?

Is there a future for either?

Is there so much disagreement within the communities that one or both of them will fork again at some point?

Will they fork themselves into oblivion?

Can a fork from bitcoin ever be successful?

These thoughts and many more... thought I'd stick them all in to one post... please share yours

Chiefmonkey

its a tight race. but really no one wins in the end.

just ignore these megalomaniacs

best thing you can do and dont buy their shitcoin

Re: Bit Coin is a Ponzi Scheme
by
pixelvault

Bit coin is a Ponzi scheme. Don't listen to the bit coin shills on here. The newcomers buying into bit coin and driving up the price are just making the early adopters richer.

That's how stupid people are. A sucker is born every minute. But YOU don't have to be one like all the other bit coiners.

The USD is a valid currency because people are required by law to recognize it's value. It has value because the most powerful superpower on the face of the Earth uses it and backs it.

Where does bit coin get its value from? Some computer nerds living in their mothers' basements and Chinese speculators who say it has value? The few online drug dealers who accept it?

If you can't figure out that buying into a totally faith-based economy, with no regulation whatsoever, of a imaginary currency that only exists virtually, through a broker that has no compelling reason to give you any of your money back other than possible negative word-of-mouth, is a bad idea, then maybe you should really consider spending less time speculating on BTC and more time getting remedial education.

lol what?
am i tasting salt in the air?

Re: KYC is simply just to cheat bounty hunters.
by

on 16/11/2018, 13:30:32 UTC
To my understanding, KYC simply means "Know your customer". Investors(customers) who participate in ICO are made to go through KYC process before they are even allowed to purchase their tokens. On the other hand, Bounty hunters are just "part time workers" of the project and not customers. Even if they will be made to go through a KYC process, it should be before they start working and not after. Waiting for them to finish working for the project and refusing to pay them because they failed to pass KYC afterwards is a total cheat.

I think its rather so governments can tax the hell out of you

When Satoshi was a cool mystery person we all loved him.  Now that we see the real person - who would believe he would be such a complete asshole that is going to ruin Bitcoin Cash with a 51% attack.

Craig Wright is a real asshole. Fuck off Satoshi.  I hate Satoshi now.

did you lose money?

And yes CSW is a pompus megalomaniac

Not only that, but it took how long for bitcoin to reach another all time high at that time from the $1000+ peak? A few years. The peak was at December 2013, and the new all time high took place at
May 2017 (look at chart below). It took more than 3 years for bitcoin to reach another all time high. Holding bitcoin is probably not for you if patience is an issue. Bitcoin is a huge ass waiting game.

A graph showing December 2013 to May 2017 BTC prices:

At least its alot faster than traditional stocks if you hold them.

Re: confused about bitcoin cash

i'm just now hearing about bitcoin SV and ABC. really need to understand whats going on. i heard that bitcoin cash is "no more." is BCH being dropped completely? what happens to my BCH? do i have to claim the new coins or does it get converted automatically? do i get both SV and ABC or will only one survive? i still have a bitcoin core wallet that never claimed BCH coins. will i still be able to claim BCH/SV/ABC?

this all seems retarded. why is this happening? is this still all about block size or is something else going on?

it will fork to BCH ABC or BCH SV

Your BCH will be either one of those.

And most likely worth shit all for awhile

As we are approaching December in just over a month's time which will be the most favorable cryptocoin to invest? Will it be traditional investment tactics like bitcoin and ethereum or some other altcoins? I guess it will be really tough job this year looking at the current market trend.

Most likely larger caps, although alot ore over valued, that being said the more popular a coin the higher the price.

Is it really possible ? I heard a youtuber making video on it by using bitmex.... is it really a good option to trade on bitmex using 100x leverage? Seeing the risk/reward ratio it looks tempting but the risk looks far more haunting

leverage is not so much a bad thing.
The thing that gets traders unstuck is position size/risk

Re: The Only Acceptable way to Quit Crypto!
by
pixelvault
on 17/08/2018, 10:03:12 UTC
It's no longer news to say that some wish to quit crypto or that some are at the verge of doing so, but is that really the right thing to do? Well we can't possibly say because we may not tell their pains.

But if you must quit cryptocurrency, there is just a best way to do it and still keep high with good smiles afterwards.

Different reasons might have prompted anyone to consider quitting, ranging from market difficulties to personal mistakes during trading or for some that were scammed and feel like a lot has been lost and may not wish to continue.

Whatever the reasons are, I would just tell you that if you must quit, Don't sell off your portfolio because you want to quit, rather Take a Note pad, write your passwords and personal details in a way that would be readable to you or anyone else in 10 year or more from now, so that when those coins you think are just shiit coins today finally gain weight, you wouldn't have any reason to cry again.

I have lots of them too, from ICOs to bounty program and airdrops, but instead of quitting, I would rather take a holiday or consider another skill for few years and come back to Crypto to reap the fruit of my labour.

Remember the history of Bitcoin from the beginning, don't be force to sell your portfolio because of the harsh bear market. Whatever that's hot now will definitely be cold again and harvest won't be far anymore.

I understand what you are saying, but bagholding alt coins is wrong.
bagholding bitcoin is fine because its unlikely to get snuffed out

Most altcoins wont recover
