They probably hacked a hospital because it had weaker security than a bank and they only had mediocre hacking skills. If their opsec skills match their hacking skills they will get caught. The FBI will be scouring every computer in that hospital for evidence, and it will probably get help from the CIA to track the movement of any bitcoins paid as ransom.

Typical, the last thing we wanted was some bad news to crash the price down. It was just beginning to look healthily above $400 and now this is all over the internet. The fact it's a hospital's vital files makes it even worse. Those hackers are the lowest of the low. Will they get their ransom paid?

Giving a stake to each bitcointalk member who applies is a possibility. Its been done before. Some devs gave everyone who applied the same amount, some based the amount on bitcointalk activity rating, and some restricted the giveaway to members above a certain rank.
