The most laughably wrong video about bitcoin that I have seen

I am of course talking about the woman in this video

http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/talking-numbers/this-could-be-the-end-of-the-bitcoin-era-220746326.html

How do they find these people and how the hell do you get on television talking about something you know nothing about?

Luxury Mercedes Sports Car For Sale - 3.2 Litre - Hardtop convertible
by
pizza_lord
on 04/04/2014, 23:46:21 UTC
Hey I am selling a luxury Mercedes Sports Car for bitcoin.

It's a SLK 320 Model which looks like this :

http://srv2.betterparts.org/images/mercedes-benz-slk-320-08.jpg

It only has about 13,000 miles on the clock. Leather interior. Electronically heated seats. The works.

It's a hard top convertible so at the press of a button the roof folds into the boot like this :

http://www.performance-car-guide.co.uk/images/L-SLK-320.jpg

The car is in London. Buyer must either collect it or pay for it to be shipped.

Message me with your bids.

The way we mate is still mostly ruled my rituals and myths

Yep.

And we are still running a 10,000 year old version of "software" called Sex 2.0 that dictates these rules.

Are people that sexually repressed that they need someone else's revolution to save them?
Maybe I'm naive but I thought in 2014 most of the skeletons are out of the closet.

Except that it's not someone else's revolution.

It's an open source revolution.

Is that site just another way of getting a bunch of ugly overweight dudes paired up with homely women with daddy issues?

Nah, we already have match.com for that

You can now fund a sexual revolution using bitcoin

Hey just thought I should let you know that Sex 3.0 is now accepting bitcoin.

If you have not heard of Sex 3.0 before, it's the first ever open source sexual revolutionary movement.

There are two parts to the organisation. The .org which is a non-profit which accepts donations and you can find at :

http://sexthreepointzero.org

And the .com which is where the blog is and where the book is sold from.

People who buy the book in bitcoin get a 20 percent discount.

The actual announcement is right here

http://sexthreepointzero.com/2014/03/24/sex-3-0-is-now-accepting-bitcoin-20-discount-offered/

So either way you can now, for the first time, fund a sexual revolution using bitcoin !

Why did you remove the link?

BTW the report lost credibility when I got to page 4.

"Control over the money supply is an extremely valuable attribute of government that allows it to navigate and minimize or avoid economic problems like recessions or, maybe, asset bubbles."

This is actually in a GS report? Is this deliberate comedy?

Cant bitcoin become broken when the blockchain gets too big?
by
pizza_lord
on 15/03/2014, 19:51:00 UTC
If you wanted to break bitcoin couldn't you just setup a powerful computer to just transact millions of BTC micro transactions back and forth to make the blockchain super huge.

Somebody said its already upto 15GB

What is someone sabotaged it like this and the blockchain became several terabytes of a few petabtyes.

Would that bring all wallets to a grinding halt?

Best part is anyone could audit the chain and verify the votes were cast as prescribed. Hell the more I think about this it is a great idea. Only problem is how would you keep people from voting multiple times?

How do you stop bitcoins being spent multiple times?

Anyone who still believes in voting hasn't fully embraced where the Blockchain is headed.

Care to elaborate?

It might be more fair than some of the current voting machines.

No shit and its not just about voting machines.

Just look at these violations in FL alone in 2010

Maybe an altcoin, BTC has enough bloating the blockchain already.

I didnt say bitcoin, I said bitcoin tech. Specifically blockchain tech.

Obviously it would need its own blockchain.

Re: New York regulator plans 'regulated' Bitcoin exchanges (BBC NEWS)
by
pizza_lord
on 12/03/2014, 01:56:32 UTC
People have faith in putting their money in banks because they are sure they can get it out again.

That's why banks were not 'allowed' to fail.

If the general public lost faith that they could ever get their money out then this would trigger bank runs and capital flight.

We even saw in the UK people queuing up trying to withdraw every penny the had from banks like northern rock when it looked like they might collapse.

People are wary about buying bitcoins because there is no protection via regulation of exchanges or other places were bitcoins are held.

Also they are hearing news about this bitcoin exchange collapsing and the CEO of another exchange committing suicide etc.

If that fear is removed and not only were exchanges regulated like casinos in vegas are regulated and checked (casinos have to hold onsite enough dollars to cover every single chip in play) and insurance companies could then insure regulated exchanges the floodgates to mass acceptance will open.
