Re: Interview with VORTEX: Bitcoin to 1 Trillion USD market cap?
by

Maybe not a moonboy! But definitely it's a speculation without much substance to back up the claim! I am definitely not a negative guy and I would love to see 1 trillion usd market cap, because then I will be able to pay off my mortgage and probably be able to buy a backup property! But I prefer to live in reality. I hope to see such market cap of 1 trillion at least in my lifetime!

He pretty much just said that bitcoin would need a 1 trillion marketcap for people actually take it really seriously, in contrast to it's current state whereas it's pretty much a niche project/asset. Not sure if I agree with that or not, but it's debatable and it makes sense a bit. It's not a "bitcoin will be have 1 trillion marketcap in *insert date here*. Again, listen to the podcast.

He wasn't being sensational or dramatic at all, so I think we agree on that. Her was merely stating that it is still early days, things may take a lot long than people expect but he is hoping for BTC to have a market cap of 1 Trillion USD by 2024 and to be built into most smart phones (think: Lightning node default installed on phones) kind of like how Netflix is being built into smart TVs lately, and by 2028 for most governments to be openly holding it as a reserve asset. All plausible IMHO.

Interview with VORTEX: Bitcoin to 1 Trillion USD market cap?
by

Hey guys, Vortex on this podcast says bitcoin will likely be taken more seriously at a Marketcap of 1 Trillion USD.

https://youtu.be/ewOGlF_AVUg

So, back of the envelope calculations put the price around 55 000 USD if we get to that market cap. Wow, if we can get there... I guess the FOMO would blow off the charts! Me thinks if we hit that we won't stop there!

Hi there I have been asked about Bitcoin by so many friends lately, its getting tiresome to explain myself over and over again, I mean its great that they are interested and keen (I suppose the price going up causes the interest! lol) but seriously would be great if I could just point them to a resource of some sort and say "hey go there and learn about it", would save so much time and energy. Like a video resource or portal or some sort of playlist?

Great resources for learning about Bitcoin:

1. Place to get started with Bitcoin (actually is the official "Bitcoin" page): https://bitcoin.org/en/getting-started
2. Bitcoin101 (only Bitcoin): https://www.cryptofish.com/blog/bitcoin-101/
3. Crypto Video Learning portal (curated listed of videos for newbies, also has other cryptos): https://www.cryptofish.com/learn
4. Download a Bitcoin wallet here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
5. Amazing resource by Andreas Antonopoulos (this has hours and hours of great content: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJWCJCWOxBYSi5DhCieLOLQ

and finally there is this forum (Bitcointalk) and the Bitcoin Reddit page.

Good Luck!

Re: What will the Bitcoin price be in 2020?
by

on 25/06/2019, 11:03:13 UTC
Price predictions vary between $0 and multi-million dollars, depending on who you ask. The reason there is so much variation is that essentially everyone is guessing.

That said - if you look at the all-time chart for bitcoin on a log scale, then a cyclic upwards movement of higher highs and higher lows becomes apparent... so predicting based on history, and that we are just coming out of the dip stage, then the price in 2020 will be somewhat higher than now.

Agreed, but why so cautious? Lets not take ourselves too seriously :-) Mental Masturbation over price is a must...

I would say we hit around 100k USD by the end of 2020, seems fair to me :-)
