hi ratflat & welcome; PoS was turned off with the last release

THIS IS WRONG.

PoS was NOT turned off and it NEVER will be. People need to be staking in order for the block chain to move forward

Are there any current rewards for POS?  Last I read, all the ECC was mined/staked.  Is there any incentive to keep the wallets running?

Hi dear, can someone please help me to recover my coins that’s in my old wallet back in 2014. I have a old ecc wallet in my Mac and I have wallet.dat file for the wallet. I downloaded lynx wallet in my windows computer but I don’t know how I can replace wallet.dat in new ecc(lynx) wallet. Please help. Thanks..

Can someone please answer my question. Thanks.

All you should need to do is download the new lynx wallet, copy your wallet.dat file to "%appdata%\Roaming\ECCoin", run lynx wallet, download the daemon, start daemon, then wait a few days for the sync.  Previous forum posts in this thread should be able to help you further if you have issues.

Also, i'm surprised at the growth of the coin.  I checked out the whitepaper but I don't think its fully clear what the "end game" of the coin is.

Hi,

I have a desktop wallet of whitecoin from 3 years ago and forgot about it.
It looks like there has been a fork and so I am lost.

How do I get my wallet going with the whitecoin in my wallet?

Any help would be really appreciated

I'm in the same boat. I have an old wallet from 2014 from when I worked on some of the original XWC retro artwork. I thought I had sold them but turns out I have quite a few. Like 500k Shocked

Looking back a few pages seems like there was a swap? Any way to get going again? I'm willing to pay a commission if somebody can help me out.

I think a lot of people are in the same boat.  (I know I am.)  They mined a bunch, forgot about it, and now are stuck.  With the recent crytpo craze going on, would be nice to possible revisit some sort of recovery of old coins, but probably wont happen.  I know i was extremely pissed off to learn about what happened.

If anyone had issues with "locked clock" speeds, I figured out what was causing mine.  One of my rigs has 4x 290x cards in it.  MSI afterburner recently expired, so I upgraded to the latest beta.  This upgrade didn't keep the "enable unofficial overclocking" setting to whatever you had it before.  I re-enabled it, bam, I can change core/mem clock speeds and not have my cards crash at the defaults.

I downloaded the latest version and Avast detects cudamine.exe as having win32:Malware-gen in it.

OP has some explaining to do... Why does a miner need a trojan attached to it???

"Win32 Malware gen is a malicious computer virus. It can cause system instability. It can come with a bundle of adware and malware. It can also disable antivirus security features."

Most if not ALL antivirus / antimalware suites will detect miners as a virus.  I had to create some exceptions using avast.

Looks like AMD card got a boost for HVC.  Too bad the 290x power usage cant compare with the efficiency of a 750 Ti!

Some of the rigs aren't even overclocked.  Hell, few bluescreen/reboot crashes happened too.

Using ccminer35 I keep getting "ccminer35.exe error please close program"

It has happened about 5 times now and always on the same miner. One of my 750ti's.

Running Windows 7 64bit.

That's happened to me as well across my 9x nvidia 750 rigs.  Completely random across different mobo/cpu/riser combos.  I cannot reproduce it.  The older versions of ccminer didnt have this issue.

I needed dongles on my rigs with 7970s.  When they weren't on there, tightvnc wouldn't work.
