You have said it all,most people criticize what they like in the public but at the dark or corner they worship such things.The government and the media are bird of the same colors they react the same. Another fact is that some times they are paid by the government for such announcement,so they have to do there job to earn there little fees.
This is a trend guys, just like a market trend. If media is paid by others to promote/depromote bitcoin, they do what they were told to do so. Don't expect them to publish normal news all the time.
I think its very posibble to happen, now that its only 1st month of the year and too early to become hopeless. I bet before the year 2018 overs, The price of bitcoin will smoothly reach the $20K before the year ends.

I honestly don't think this will take 9-10 months as you wrote down in your post. Value increase is not that slow in bitcoin generally.

Of course, as long as they are very useful in and have a demand. But most of them in my opinion are shitcoins made just for profit with similar uses so I don't see most of them going to survive for long.I do not think ICOs token and altcoin are same concept, because ICOs token do not have decentralized and created by someone or force and it looks like the stock more than the altcoin.
They are not all erc20 tokens of ethereum. Some projects are blockchain projects and they have their own blockchains. Some of them are in form of erc20 but in the future they will create their blockchains as well.
When all fud regarding possible ban of bitcoin trading in few countries will be over, bitcoin will start to pump again and it can easily go to over $20k.

It's enough if the fuds are removed from the news, we can witness another bull market in bitcoin. This would shift the price above $20k actually.
Panic time means BUY TIME to me. Every time that people says is panic time, BTC's price is almost on the floor. So, I can buy it at low price and wait until it recovers.
Well said if the Bitcoin price is falling means it is a BUY time, not panic time. If you get panic and sell your coins, it is a loss for you but it is an advantage for others. They will get bitcoins for a low price. So whenever the price is falling just hold your coins and if you can try to buy some more coins. We will get very less opportunity to buy bitcoins at a low price.Falling prices are to buy more bitcoin, but few people can do this because the rest sell their bitcoin as a result of this panic. No one is in control of bitcoin at the moment, in fact, if bcash was more strong, and if it replaced bitcoin, we would be living a centralized era about bitcoin at the moment.

I often choose a good coin from looking at total supply and total demand in the market by analyzing the volume of the coin, if the volume of coin is a lot and the total supply is very limited I will buy the coin.
Supply is not everything but I try to select my coins from the low supply ones, or high supply-low price ones. They are tend to go up better compared to expensive coins above $1 region.
Technically looks good and waves already achieved a lot but main problem is in their team. You can read and find only Russian names so maybe they could add people from different countries to improve their PR sector. If they make it international they possibly can attract new buyers (from Europe and America).
They're weak in marketing and advertising the project. Otherwise it would be $50 at least now. It's completely undervalued and I believe it will make nice price movements this year and next year. Dex will be more useful.
I am still waiting 25k. 2 months ago we reached almost 20k (actually some exchanges sold at this price). We are in a big correction since then. Next leg up is coming and price will grow more in January.

The point people missed is exactly this! They think if bitcoin price decline, others will make price rallies. This is wrong. If bitcoin dies ot hurt, other will suffer hard obviously. They must understand this.

You can go to markets tab from coinmarketcap and you can check daily trade volume of that coin. If the trade volume is low, but the price rate is upwards dramatically, you can think it may be a hype.

For example, i think i have bought good coin, but my research is not the same with the other and the other decide to buy another altcoin, so i can not be success just because do own research. I think we need big news to follow to become a successfull.
There is no way of prediction for this. It's kinda random thing to select your coin. You can love the idea, team etc. You can never know what's gonna happen. That's my point, I like ETH and LTC maybe XMR too.
They may not like the idea of the bitcoin, but they need to buy and use bitcoin just to support this ecosystem which provides an incredibly good environment for the poor people and freelancers.
I have a one portfolio for short term and one portfolio for long term investings. In short term potfolio i buy some altcoin and sell them again in a very short time range but in long term portfolio i buy most of the altcoins and wait for earn good profit from them.
Some tokens are perfect for day trade and short term holding. Some others are good for long term investment. This is why you need to differ them and make two different portfolio for yourself.
They got more than $20 million from investors, current market cap is $200 million, that's a lot for a pretty much useless ethereum token from a company without a functioning product.

If they already achieved 10x return with respect to the ICO price, why should I get more of it? I don't understand this point. I know it's very similar to Monetha project, but while monetha is still 2x in ICO price, I'm definitely picking Monetha, MTH.

Mid term price aim for eth is looking like 0.1 btc. For long term, we can even see that it gets 0.2 btc, this won't be that hard for ethereum to realize this. The demand is super high for it and investors are not making panic selling in ethereum.
