I have something that will determine whether the coin has any chance of proceeding.
I have some btb. I mined it many moons ago. I was going through old wallets and found it. I tried to send the coin out and it has remained stalled without any confirmations. The block chain cannot be updated because the check point is too old. I downloaded the latest client and that did not resolve it. I searched my computer and cound not find a .conf to manually update the server used to rebuild the block chain.
Is there a solution for this?

Bitcoin Kiosks

As I am sure many of you are aware Vancouver has it's first bitcoin kiosk. This kiosk is using palm scanners. That is totally inappropriate and actually very offensive.
I found another company the other day that produced a bitcoin kiosk without a palm scanner. I want one! Now I cannot find the link and google has been completely spammed by the snoopy bastards at Robocoin.
If anyone knows of alternatives to Robocoin can you please paste them in here?
Thank you.

Re: UPDATED FC Feathercoin Bounties and how you can help, earn FC, get FREE FC
Will you be upgrading the wallet following the fork? I have lost feathercoins. The android feathercoin wallet is no longer syncronizing with the network.

Transaction needs to be done by 3:00 am according to the forum clock. Otherwise the transaction can resume in another 16 hours or so when I am back at this workstation.

Re: BBQcoin giveaway thread!! 50 for every BBQ address.
I am a Canadian Citizen, and I say that this is Compleate and utter Bullshit. Taxing a digital good? Come Tax my fucking videogame items while your trying at it, if i "suddenly" get 10k into my bank account, ITS NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS WHERE I GOT THAT MONEY FROM, and if you Fucking Ask Where It Came From, im switching banks Fuck You Revenue Canada Bitcoins are already SELF TAXED by the people who use bitcoins and the system itself!
he he he.
Free range slaves; they like to think they are free. We let them speak all they want, but when it comes time to pay up, the GoC has ways to enforce compliance.
I wonder if they can force cavirtex.com to open their books and track everyone that way. Everyone that used cavirtex.com that is.
They probably could.
Not only that but they could force the issue by requiring cavirtex to charge GST on the service fee. Just like currency swap places at the air port do.
This is totally un-documentable BS, since nobody knows what you are doing on Kijiji or whatever with your friends and Bitcoins.
[snip]
Can an exchange know you weren't cashing in or buying them for somebody else?
use your wallets and transfers at all those exchanges you can, often, problem solved...
Yes that whole taxing bitcoin thing is BS, and it is going to be difficult for them to catch it but I mean if for example I have a steady income of 500$ per week and in 2-3 years when bitcoins are worth more, I cash out some of it to partially pay a car let's say. Wouldn't the CRA be like hummm that's weird he just got 20k deposited and it's signed CaVirtex... Wouldn't they come after me?
What if CRA got smart and started to troll the block chain and applied a little network analysis to it? Forensic accountants are accustomed to ferreting out tax cheats and are used to their schemes of sending money from one place to the next.
I'm excited to see how they're going to pull it off. I mean, if it's a measly "You should do it", I see many issues springing up in the future; they may not know who's avoiding taxes, but they'll see clear as day taxes are being avoided. Then they have fire power to campaign against the use of Bitcoin.
That's not the way our government works. They cannot outlaw bitcoin. We have the right to private property and there is a long standing coupon called "Canadian Tire Money" that is widely used. If you look at the development of Canada's banking and money you will see many private coupons. These were all legal.
"Canadian Tire Money" cannot be converted to Canadian $$$... So it's not a currency... it's just a discount coupon.
Go to the currency museum at the bank of Canada in Ottawa. You will be surprised by the number of companies and municipalities that issued their own scripts. This is not a new idea, it's just a new method of doing a very old idea.

Yes it can. I have traded people for canadian tire money in the past. I gas up there and got a discount by buying their cdn tire money.

This should be seen as a huge victory for bit coin. The Government of Canada has just officially recognized bitcoins and has stated that they want a slice of the action.
Now we just need to deal with the criminal cabal of bankers that are going to do everything in their power to subvert and undermine the currency.
"For whatever reason, many in Canadas small but fast growing Bitcoin community are suddenly dealing with the same problem: The banks have decided they dont like the cryptocurrency and theyre shutting down some of the accounts of businesses that deal in it."

Mining rigs are incredible. They are machines that can make a profit and they are the essential infrastructure for the internet's new payment system. It's decentralized, it's beautiful.
I mine and look forward to trading with you.
