Looks like one has to have an account with Bonero to vote. Doesn't the whole registration thing defeats privacy? You've got the IP addresses of all those signing in and whatever email they're using - dummy or not

We are not storing ip addresses. And you can fake the mailaddress it's up to you what information you are willing to give. If it's necessary I can show a screenshot of the database with blurred data

That's correct. Since we want this to be a community coin we (Bonero team) don't decide what algorithm we use. We let our investors / community members decide.  But ofcourse your read all about it here
