There was not more CAIx than CAI right until 1.6 Mil CAI was mined.  People had plenty of time to swap out.  You could mine and cash in strait up until all the 1.6 Mil CAIx was swapped.  The fact multiple people didn't pay attention to their investments allowed others to keep mining past 1.6 Mil and swap their coins while the 1.6 Mil CAIx was still available.  Snooze and lose is the all I can say.  I mined past 1.6 Mil CAI and was able to swap coins because others were to lazy to keep track of their investments and swap out coins they had owned previous.

For every coin someone was to lazy to swap someone mined a coin past 1.6 Mil and beat them to Coinswap to exchange it.

Thanks!!!!

I know I'm an asshole but I have to admit it gives a sense of satisfaction to see how people complain they weren't given proper warning of the CAIx switch when it was plain as day for a long ass time.  Those people deserve what they get....  Nothing!

Nope - you are an asshole for being so short sighted and not accepting that it is irrelevant whether or not people were aware of the switch. There were more CAI mined than CAIx available - simple logic says that given that fact, some people would get nothing.

I was one of the people "who didn't watch his investment" with this coin.  Lol.  I had CAI as basically a failover because I had greater interest in other coins.  A currency should never lose its value overnight because of a hard fork or whatever.  Imagine giving paper wallets to friends only to have the currency be worth nothing.  It should indefinitely be exchangeable based on a time stamp.  This feels way to scammy it would NEVER happen in say the bitcoin community.  In the end people holding CAI are simply not a part of the community which also shrinks overnight.  It doesn't surprise me the value of CAIx has tanked.  Thankfully, I have been all over Darkcoin!  Good luck CAIx holders.

Hello Drk community.  Seems I may have made a large mistake.  I haven't kept up on the forum and I sent a number of Drk using what is now the old wallet.  After upgrading it shows the amount sent with zero confirmations after an hour or so.  Are the coins lost or will they eventually bounce back to the original wallet address?

Upgrade to v0.9.3.4 or v0.10.7.40 on http://darkcoin.io/getstarted.html, your coins aren't lost, this happened to many other people as well.

I upgraded to v0.9.3.4 and the coins are still subtracted from the total.  Client is fully synced.  Just wait then?

Also, I sent the coins to Cryptsy.  Not sure if this matters.

I have a quick question for anyone who can answer.  Is it possible to anonymize just one .00000001 Drk?  I am not sure I have digested fully darksend.  Also could you "ping" addresses with the smallest unit of a coin and basically track them over time?

I am sure this has been already implemented into a coin somewhere but why not have a coin with very high transaction fees implemented in the early stages that gradually become normative say in a year or two.  It might prevent or slow down trading whales and multipools from killing the coin early on.  If it is even a few percent less profitable early on to mine then dump maybe this will afford enough protection.

Call it a transaction degravity well or whatever.

Just as an FYI this p2p is up and I am getting very low rejections.
If you are a believer in this coin you should consider throwing some of your hashing power away from the biggest +51% pool.

Is there only one large mining pool for this coin?  That is just as bad a premining.

I support both and am holding both.  Who has the better development team anyways?
