I'm surprised by how high the premium is for polymerbit notes on stack bowers

I'll confirm those were secondary sales to an unknown buyer.

The hype in this auction was sensational across the board.

Click on "The List," and it will take you to a Google spreadsheet that includes the quantity printed.

Unless someone else has another source, if so please share.

Hey boys,

Just curious, how many of each of these notes were minted/Printed?

This is the information have about these notes.

The Scarce.City note was an interesting case, we made those to mostly hand out at their booth (Miami Conf 2023).

Some then ended up in the secondary market on BC and ebay.

What happens in the case of not creating notes with denominations? because they
could never be overloaded.

This whole thing seems the most nonsensical thing ever. If you are not asked to log
the keys or home address whats the point in logging the loading of each note? I cant
see what the authorities can gain from knowing what notes are loaded/overloaded
but not being able to like them with ownership.

The info you are creating is like a "dead end" in a road, it only brings you so far.

We're complying with the letter of the law. It's up to governments to make sound policy and close obvious loopholes.

As we wish to continue operating, this is what we have to do.

Thanks for the heads up. A few questions:

1) Does this also apply to all the new notes issued as unloaded/buyer-funded, etc. ?
2) Does this apply only to notes that contain private keys generated by Polymerbits or all notes containing a private key in general? (ie Polymerbit only create/print the note & handles the note to a third party such as MoparMining to generate & apply the priv/pub keys)
3) Could you please elaborate on the "Report overloading (for example 1 mbtc notes containing more than 1mbtc in funds)"? If the note is sold unfunded/buyer-funded, do you have to match the indication on the note (ie "1 satoshi", 1M satoshis", "10€ worth of BTC at 1/1/2025",  "the current value of 1 banana in satoshis   Cheesy" etc.) with the public key, continuously monitor the public address & report overloading?

Thanks
[/quote]

1) Yes, any notes where we generated the keys count.

2) Technically no, but if the notes end up or pass through states where the law is active... we could still face issues. Easier to make a blanket policy and avoid the problem.

3) We need to monitor if the loaded balance ever exceeds the loaded amount suggested on the bill. If it does, we need to be ready to comply with authorities. The EACT, US or HM treasury dept could ask us for these lists. We'll comply with that request by highlighting which serial numbers are overloaded.

What we're not asked to do is log private keys or home addresses (thanks to GDPR). Almost all the notes are sold via distributors, and we don't need to know who they sold to.

[PSA] Compliance with the Money Transmission Modernization Act for physicals
by
polymerbit
on 10/01/2025, 13:14:54 UTC
Hello all,

This act requires us to do the following with all new Polymerbits issued this year onwards

1) Log all Public keys and respective serial numbers
2) Report overloading (for example 1 mbtc notes containing more than 1mbtc in funds)
3) Track loading and unloading of the notes
4) Unloaded issued notes only for the US market

In practice we'll create lists that can be tracked publicly like Cas coins.

Notes issued before 31st Dec 2024 are not tracked unless previously stated

It's been an exciting year for being the scenes projects.

1) We've managed to successfully test colorshfiting inks on our STC substrate.
2) New projects with two security printing companies. Will be spending some time in Asia next year.
3) Brand new full strip holograms are coming on some of the higher end editions.
4) Intaglio printing elements are coming (tactile feel)

The supply chains keep getting increasingly complicated. The Mystery box project was actually an R&D effort to develop them further.

Polymerbits involve companies and supplies from: Australia, The UK, Switzerland, UAE, Germany, Morocco, Malaysia, China, Estonia, Canada, Japan, United States, India, Italy.

Some incredible designers have partnered up with us, you can expect more work coming from Pjotor.

[PSA] Take care when peeling non polymer polymerbits (northern cardinal etc.)
by
polymerbit

⭐ Merited by tread93 (2)
Hello all,

The only known notes affected are hologram stc notes: birds of the world (northern cardinal, penguin) and mystery 3.

Additional testing has shown that some Polymerbits can have an issue where the private key can be pulled with the hologram if you attempt to peel using your fingers.

This happens due to the glue having reacted with the physical material, causing a tear when the hologram is removed.

In all cases we have been able to recover the private key (even with substantial tearing) but it's an unpleasant experience.

This can be avoided by using a utility knife .

I've upped the total production to 60 pcs.

9 pcs will be produced in late December. 51 will be sent to MJ next week.

I've given this series a beautiful security feature update. The price will not change.

Lot number 3 is not the normal MIF note.

This was evidently cut from the green sample sheet. In total, 12 notes were made (2 sheets).

I can now confirm at least one of our American stakeholders should be joining us for the first two days of the Gallery.

If you're on the fence about going, I strongly recommend it. Sicily is a gem.

You're focusing on the wrong thing here. There's still a duty of due care. This is others peoples money you ended up affecting.

Your conduct is the issue. I find it particularly abhorrent that you tried to get your project into the gallery in Sicily.

This can be argued to be predatory. You have a project on your hands that you tried to PR wash to people who may not be aware of your multiple failures.

The damage you did is inexcusable.
