What did you use to create that graph?

Credit goes to bitcoinity. Google it, good site.

Even more impressive if the speculated attackers are also responsible for the Instawallet controversy.

Going after a widely used wallet service followed by the major exchanges would be a good way to destabilise the bitcoin economy.

I get this message when trying to access site:

That's exciting isn't it?

Looks like bitcoinity hasn't been able to retrieve data for over an hour either...

I am... Outta here! Got cold feet and just sold my puny stake.

Knowing my luck though the next post will be a picture of Ian standing next to a mountain of shiny Avalons...

Sometimes you just have to put on your big boy pants and wade into the deep end of the pool.

Good executive decision IMO.  Smiley

My vote would go towards getting an Avalon batch #3 order in. It seems appropriate to grow with the network using the best  and most cost effective tech available at any given time.
I don't recommend this given the outrageously high price and the unpredictability of profitability depending on BFL / ASICMINER's deployment.

I agree that BFL / ASICMINER (and others) may change the game significantly. But then surely it is better to have more mining assets rather than more BTC sitting in cash doing nothing. If ASIC farms come online in the next few months then profitability will suffer regardless.

Price of Avalon batch #3 seems appropriate to me. BTC-wise it is in the middle of batch #1 and batch #2 as I understand. I don't bother with the USD comparison - surely the only way in which USD are relevant are in the operational cost of electricity.

Any chance of lowering the minimum commitment from BTC22?

Maybe unit 3 could be for bitcoin paupers?  Smiley

Not at this time.  I don't want to spread myself too thin by having to service too many people.  This may change in the future, I want to make sure this project gets up and running smoothly before I make bigger commitments.

Fair enough, thanks Dalkore.
As a last attempt to get in on this exciting venture, I hope you won't mind me asking the following:

If anyone can't meet the minimum commitment and wants to pool their bitcoins with me then please send me a PM. Please don't ask for crazy assurances and guarantees etc, we would just have to trust each other (and the omnipotent block chain).

EDIT: I don't think I can offer up enough of a stake to make a partnership worthwhile. Anyone who wants to partner up might want to consider speaking to Sukki.

That's it? The parliament voted 'No'?

What now? They'll let the banks break? Force taxpayers to save them? What?

Clearly the MPs are only stalling for time. Time they will use wisely to move their money into Bitcoin.  Grin

This kind of thing tends to be determined by merchants. I for one would like to see a nice blend of pre-decimalisation sterling references and cockney rhyming slang.

For example: "Aright geezer, this 'ere motor will set yer back a monkey and two bob!"
Translation: "Good day sir, this fine automobile will cost you 500.05 BTC"
