Investing in Bitcoin is always a great opportunity, however, you also have to value other projects, because the problem of Bitcoin is that it is somehow centralized in a few hands and the so-called whales can play at speculation in order to obtain greater benefits.

In Youtube there are a lot of videos that explain in a simple and clear way how cryptocurrencies work, I think that is the best way to understand it.
