What do you mean by signed the transfer correctly? It doesn't say anything on the havelock guide about signing unless I missed something.

Quote
How to Import Direct Shares:
1. Send an e-mail to fnnirvana@gmail.com & Havelock Investments at
AMFund@havelockinvestments.com with the following message:

”Please transfer (X) of my shares to the Havelock Investments account at 1J5fvfUrDcZj8rrpVHMgn8u7sXee84QkPd --
AMFund@havelockinvestments.com”

Also include the following info:
- Your current ASICMINER share-holding wallet address & e-mail address
- The quantity of shares you wish to transfer

2. If the e-mail address you have on file with ASICMINER is different than the one you use for your Havelock account, you MUST send an e-mail from the e-mail address you have registered with Havelock confirming this import request. If this is the case, please provided a dated, signed message from the host wallet to confirm ownership.

You need the signed message to prove ownership of the bitcoin addresses tied to the direct shares.

That is the case only if the email that is on file with ASICMINER is different from the one on Havelock, at least that's how I'm interpreting it.

My transfer to Havelock from early December still hasn't gone through.  Sad

Maybe it's a way of helping you not to sell your shares at prices this low  Grin Who knows, you could be very thankful in a couple of months if the share price goes up dramatically  Grin
But honestly, it's really annoying that a lot of request don't seem to go through seamlessly...

Any advice? Should I try again?

Yeah, make sure and double check you followed the guide on Havelock, signed the transfer correctly... Maybe send FC a PM and a mail to fnnirvana@gmail.com, too... Early December seems a bit long, yeah.

What do you mean by signed the transfer correctly? It doesn't say anything on the havelock guide about signing unless I missed something.

What is the standard process when transferring direct shares to havelock? I did what was said on Havelock and emailed both of the parties but have not received any response in about 3 days. Is that typical? I know it says to wait up to 9 days for the transfer but I was wondering if it's normal to not get any sort of reply at all.

I just loaded up Bitcoin Qt for the first time in weeks to see if I got a dividend and it is killing my macbook. I have some direct shares, any way for me to verify those without having to download the whole blockchain?
I had problems with Bitcoin Qt before but now it's even worse. Everything else on my computer works fine but when I use Bitcoin Qt my macbook gets way too hot (much hotter than when I do anything else) and doing anything is obnoxiously slow.

Can I invest in your company lophie? You don't have to pay dividends or even use my funds properly, just make sure my investment goes down in value gradually(with sharp downturns every now and then of course) and that you can offer plausible deniability in case I ever wonder what happened.

I guess AM 28nm is coming soon! Grin
BTCGarden said looking forward to Friedcat's 28nm chip on his Weibo!
Source:http://weibo.com/cnbtcnews?from=feed&loc=nickname#1405648770474

Now that would be something!
It would explain the silence and the no divs so far, though I wonder if it might postpone divs even more.
Hope we hear something from friedcat himself soon.

Since a boardmember requires 5000 shares and it is stated nowhere
that a boardmember is required to be a natural person I suggest
that minority shareholders with sufficient stake agree to pool
their shares into a groupentity.

There should be more then enough people that have 100 or more
direct shares to also get one seat together. I suggest that the
person to become boardmember shall be elected representitive
for this group by votes per direct shares per group member.

Your control of your shares shall not leave you, all that will be
required is a signed message to agree to form the group and
give boardmemberstatus to group by proxy.

Anyone interested can contact me.

Editing: Grammer and spelling

Second edit:  Maybe 50 shares is fine, too?
Also 1/5th of required shares are allready interested  Cheesy

This is a great idea, unfortunately I am short about 20 shares to be involved. I still think this should be attempted though.

If divs continue to be distributed on Wednesdays then we'll have to wait another day, as the 27th is a Tuesday.

Given the company structured as a public company I appreciate there would be additional caution about FC making specific statements regarding future plans in light of the uncertainty in this business as it not only affects product delivery but share also value. One only needs to go over to BA's thread where there is simply information provided on delivering product on time to see how sideways things can go on providing updates. Milestones achieved would be of benefit though as it appears we have crossed a few since the last update.
Please excuse my ignorance, what do you mean by "BA's thread"? Could you post a link? I glanced over the securities section and couldn't find a company whose name could be abbreviated BA.

Did FC explicitly say there wouldn't be any dividends till the financial report, or is that just speculation?

I trust Abro, I believe in Abro. I am Abro. I know I do not need to send Bitcoin to help Abro succeed because Abro is beyond success but there are many who have yet to reach that realization. It is one thing to intellectually fathom it, another to have the success of Abro through yourself become second nature.
Therefore I will allow others to send me bitcoin, even though it in fact lowers my current experience of Abro, as personally benefitting from it monetarily is the antithesis of Abro, I will suffer so that others can achieve the experience.
My address: 1H1tCG9EMZ8DnBF9BoBD4K6EHii6btVPLz

Do not praise me, I am just one of the many martyrs on which the foundation of Abro will be built. All will be revealed shortly, and all who doubt Abro will be smitten, and will regret the day they passed the Great Opportunity.

Thank you Abro, and thanks to anyone who may join in the experiencing of Abro by sending me bitcoin, any amount exponentially increases the part of Abro that is within us all.

I don't think anyone should be surprised to see extremely low (or no) divs until Gen3 rolls out.

The thing I worry about most is if FC is still 100% committed to AM or if he has developed a competing side-business that is unencumbered by external shareholders.

I know FC denied involvement. But the competitor similarities in hardware (Bitmain) and in mining behavior (Discus Fish) remain striking. So I feel we've only been told part of the story.

I've been thinking about this too, but what keeps from panicking too much is the amount of AsicMiner shares owned by Bitfountain. I think that screwing us keyboard shareholders would be one thing, but screwing the Bitfountain ones would be much more messier.

BTC sale pays electricity and you get the heat for free.

Every swimmingpool could have one.
Maybe someone can figure out how to use colored coins to get the yellow water out….

Divide the dividend you got by the dividend per share(people post theirs in the official ASICMINER thread).

This might be a bit off topic, but I have no idea where else to ask. Does anyone know where I can find potential sellers of ASICMINER direct shares? I want to buy some.

Why not buy at Havelock and then convert yourself? Its not much of a market but the best thing we have right now.

There are many signs pointing to the shares being underpriced on the exchanges (currently 0.78BTC on HL). I personally want to stay as far away from HL and all other exchanges seem down. Looking in the auction forums you can see that there are multiple threads of folks offering to buy direct shares but nobody selling. I think the current valuation of ASICminer is closer to 1BTC than anything else, but is being kept low because nobody wants to put money on the exchanges. Meanwhile all the big holders sold around 3BTC and nobody who bought at this price wants to take the loss [i do see some folks making money via arbitrage if willing to take the gamble]. We're experiencing illiquidity, which is not good for the commodity's price or the holders. We need a new leader like BTC.TC was that the community believes in. Short of that, holders need to believe in the cat.
May I ask why your so weary of Havelock? Is it because of the precedent or something else?

Bitcoin price going through the roof has to be very good for AM, I'd wager that AM has more bitcoins than most of the other mining companies combined. In fact, AM is probably one of the largest holders of bitcoins worldwide.
Is there a rough figure for how many bitcoins AM has?
