Searing  and crytotronik.  You are both correct.

Bitmain is hoping everyone will forget about the B3 disaster. The B3 is different to the other miners. It is not an ASIC for the algo. The community was deceived. One medium graphics card now hashes the same rate as one B3.

Bitmain hides behind its location of China. If it were elsewhere, it would be sued. So much $$$ has been lost by people tricked into giving their cash for a lie.

No remorse is shown by Bitmain, or its billionaire owners, and the support staff are dismissive.

It appears to be going for an IPO, however, the victims of the deceptions may bring lawsuits in the future, which may affect the share value. Full disclosure will have to be made, and the shareholders will have entitlement to truthful disclosure.

Bitmain does not even help with new drivers for the B3, or provide guidance as to how the Sophon device can be reprogrammed to mine other algos, which I presume they could do, maybe not efficiently.

It would be easy for Bitmain to deal with the situation and compromise to help their previously loyal customers.

The Antminer B3 situation appears different from other ASICs which have declining ROIs. I recall the B3 was advertised to be an ASIC for mining Tensority (BYTOM), and the algo was to be mined with Bitmain B3 hardware and firmware with options of benefiting from AI mining/processing opportunities.

However, it would seem that the ‘ASIC’ chips in the B3 are not efficient on the Tensority algo, and Tensority can be mined on non-B3 machines.

The Antminer S9, L3 etc are very efficient on the algo they were designed to mine and that is why buyers purchase these ASICS. Buyers can assess declining returns depending on units shipped and the efficiency of the miner.

The B3 is not even efficient at mining Tensority. It is not fit for purpose. It appears to be a box stuffed with non-specific ASIC chips to clear inventory, and not a true ASIC.

Therefore, proper disclosures were not made to purchasers of the B3  and a reasonable calculation of risk could not be made.

consensus on antpool vs uupool for best earnings?

Odd coin situation erc20 token -> mainnet

their official wallet built to support both or just mainnet --- aka if youre mining antpool -> official wallet --- coins will be lost?

antpool mining erc20 uupool mining non erc20?

Their site leaves some to be desired for sure . .

I believe the idea was that Antpool would provide ERC20 tokens which could be instantly cashed in via exchanges, which up to today, only traded the ERC20 tokens with btc and USDT.

Github shows the devs have been hard at work these past few days, and I believe ERC20 token swaps with main net BTM is now happening, and some exchanges are implementing. Hopefully, it should sort itself out within a few days.

There appears to be warnings on the Antpool wallet input field to avoid main net wallet addresses. It may be that mining will not occur if the incorrect wallet format address is input.  Bitmaim has been responsive and I am hopeful this will turn out well for all participants.

Hopefully, hashing rate will become more stable soon. I think we can anticipate another reduction in around 8 days, to leave us mining around 30 coins per day. If Bitmain then release another batch so after that, it will really impact on earnings, and may affect the trust early adopters have in Bitmain.

If the coin value increases, it may somewhat compensate for the lowering coin return.

For those still waiting fir their first batch miner, did you use DHL?

I have my batch 1 miner and used DHL, but got it like on a monday when some people got theirs early on the friday before that.. I think some of the people that got theirs on friday used UPS

I used DHL as well, and they planned to deliver on Tuesday because they could not process it over the weekend !!! I managed to get it on Monday.

The coin is dipping now because of the general market. I hope Bitmain will consider the lowering value of the coin, before flooding the market again with another batch quickly. These events really affect the decision to take a punt on new ASIC hardware.
