I think that then, people who have invested money in tokens shouldn`t worry too much. Provided if they are going to use Boat Pilot. Because you can get a lot of interesting things, even if the token doesn`t become successful.
Some people don`t care for the functionality of the project, only token performance is important for them. Totally understandable position though.
Hmm, for me this is a very strange position. It seems to me that the token is just an interesting addition to the project. I wouldn`t invest in a token if I didn`t plan to use the Boat Pilot in the future.
Seems like the devs think the same. But again, some people just guess if the project will be successful and then invest in token to sell it later for higher price.

Guys, do I understand correctly that in the BoatPilot app there are not all maps yet? I'm interested in the Mediterranean .. Can I fully use the application in this region?
AFAIK Mediterranean is the only region available at the moment. You can download the app and check for yourself.
Yes it is. I just was not sure that there are all areas. Now I saw that everything is there. It`s is really great!
Not all areas are available yet, both Americas and Asia region is still TBA.

It seems to me that the developers do not spend much time on their Navy token, but have gone deeper into the functionality and design of the application. It could have bad consequences. Do you think I'm right?
Seems like you`re right. But remember, NAVY is a utility token with functionality tied to Pocket Skipper. Once it`s released it will have much more volatility and usage.
I agree! We are constantly forgetting about Pocket Skipper , and this is also an important part of the project. I wonder when we can see this?
Due to be released in Q2 2018, still not here. My pessimistic bet is on Q2 2019.

Re: [ANN][ICO] BoatPilot - integrated marine Navigation Service with AR capabilites
Guys, do you plan any meeting of users and boatpilot team? I would like to meet the team in real life
They took part in the huge conference recently (ICE 2018), I doubt there would be any meetups in the near future.
Why are you so pisimistic? Perhaps the BoatPilot team will want to arrange a meeting at the beginning of next year, on the occasion of the release of BoatGod or something else? Anyway, I hope so too.
I don't want to wait for next year, I want to meet them now to discuss a business proposal. How can I contact them?
Check their website, there should be their contacts. If you really have some proposal, they might get interested in it.

Yesterday I sailed on the yacht, had some rest together with family and friends. For navigation I used boatpilot, feels just great. This project is very promising
If this project is so promising - why is the price of the token so low? This is very strange, isn't it?
Technology adaptation takes really long time. Remember how low the price of Bitcoin was at the very beginning.

Re: [ANN][ICO] BoatPilot - integrated marine Navigation Service with AR capabilites
Will this tablet only be used for a boat or yacht, or can it be used as a regular device? Is there any information about this?
It is a tablet, after all. I think it could be used separately, the only difference is that it is somehow "protected". Wonder what it means.
Maybe the word "protected" means that it has protection from water, falls and blows? I do not think that this word means reliable protection against viruses in this tablet.
Or maybe protected in software aspect, so you can`t abuse system in any way. Say, exploit it somehow and gain more NAVY, for example.

Yes, it is really convenient! We get the ability to control devices included in the on-board network: for example, autopilot, engine, onboard lighting, media system, etc. Thanks to this, the skipper can monitor the condition of all systems of the vessel, as well as manage them.
So BP basically brings all necessary information to one screen? That`s great, but I think it requires rather powerful tablet to be able to control all those devices without any lags.
Aren`t they going to release their own tablet configured only for Boat Pilot?
Are they going to release their own tablet? Wow, that's really good information I didn't know about. Its price will probably be high, or am I wrong?
I double checked what ripthesystem mentioned, there is indeed a statement regarding tablet. It is supposed to be realeased in 2018 as a boxed version, check the White Paper.

Guys, why developers release so little news and updates? After all, the project is promising, I believe that they need to do more contests and updates.
Yep, I also wonder about it. Guess they focus hard on development and pay less attention to marketing. Check their Twitter, BTW - there are some great news regarding new contracts, apparently there was a conference or meeting.
Great news indeed, this is actual 1000 boats added to project`s community. So, I believe this is work with corporate clients that was mentioned in the WP: do you think these boats will be equipped with BoatGod already?

But how will the company make a profit? After all, the app is free, and you don`t need to buy tokens for using it. Where can the dividends for the holders of tokens take?
Hm, that is actually a good question. Token commission fee? Income from selling boxed BP version? The main income source, I believe, is still advertising - but as we have a very narrow market with very specific needs, its easy to sell ads to the companies related directly to yachting. That way it won't annoy users, as only the relevant ads will be shown. That's just a theory, but I believe this is how it's going to be realized - community satisfaction is a very big deal for this project.
