Re: Can someone shed some light on Tether (USDT) please

The search engine will probably not give him the answers to his questions. Perhaps if there is someone with experience converting USDT to USD, they could post abiout THEIR EXPERIENCE in THIS THREAD.

Good Luck.

Yes, it would be good to get some clarification from them on this, it now shows a deficit of more than $11 million dollars. Their claim of USDT being 100% backed by dollars in the bank doesn't seem legit.

Why is Tether issuing many more USDT than they have USD to cover?

I'm experiencing the same issue as edgar, my email confirmations for login & withdraw stopped arriving on the 19th

I have not and do not wish to change email addresses. I have contacted my mail service provider and they have confirmed that no email for me has been received from btc-e since the 19th.

I have supplied all requested information to support. IP addresses, transaction history, methods used to deposit, etc, but I have not changed my email address and I do not wish to change it.

Please see ticket #WYF-987-76074 and re-enable my confirmation emails ASAP.

Zhou has come through with the AUD and the BTC on multiple occasions.

Couple small bumps along the way but nothing major and nothing he hasn't handled quickly and professionally.

Yeah no shit. Do you think it's normal for an exchange to directly expose customer addresses and withdrawal amounts to other customers? Maybe it is normal. Do you think it's remotely acceptable?

Of course it's acceptable. Even Bitstamp does it. If you're using Bitcoin the way you're supposed to, there's no way to link the withdrawal addresses to any meaningful information, and you don't even know which addresses are going back to the exchange.

I guess it depends on whether you consider a database of exchange user withdrawal addresses meaningful information or not.

Going back to the exchange . . . yeah ok we're talking about the guys that send out a plaintext SMTP saying "hey dude you requested coinz withdrawn to address" whenever you w/d, I had to set up a new email account because of them. It's pretty obvious they're taking 0.001 from the w/d then bundling it into a pay to many with 0.0005 relayfee yay profit.

Yup, BTC-E did a great job. I applaud them.

So do you go around giving high fives to kids to kick puppies in the face in real life too? Do you like to put on a little costume and pretend to be a super villain? In other words, do you like to live life as a major giant Mcdouche?

lol , dude, quite likely, the guy has a "camsluts" link in his signature

Moral of the story:
FTC is crap.

FTC is crap but that ain't the moral of the story.  The moral of the story is that practically all of the exchanges that are used to price bitcoin are shady as fuck pump & dump warehouses.

watch out.

People can trade their FTC at mcxNOW.com
Good job, you managed to find the one exchange out there that's shadier than BTC-e!

Gee I'd like to hear your list of reputable exchanges.

We're in a bit of trouble here eh.

What a disgraceful episode.

I recently withdrew my BTC from there and they bundled it into a tx with four other customer addresses. WTF.

yeah I've used cryptothrift I wouldn't recommend it otherwise. I think it was actually built by terrorists so hopefully it won't shut down any time soon.

So hang on a minute . . . all this drama is about DONATIONS??? come on the litecoin devs recently collected 20k LTC or something for a client update, and you lot are carrying on about a couple grand worth that got donated in 2012, the guy is evidently working on microcash and intends to release it, and the money has already been donated anyway.

Honestly wtf. Pathetic.
