Anyone manage to get an Electrum server up and running?
it s going to have an electrum wallet? That is well worth keeping an eye on from now I love the elctrum wallet.
Yes, the server has been available for a while now.
I want to have a couple servers added to the client code before I release it. As far as I know, one other person is getting a server ready. The client is ready for release otherwise.
I also plan to port ElectrumX in the near future. Most likely in January.
Hi, is anyone interested in hosting a Digibyte Electrum server? If so, please PM me the IP you will be using, along with port number (if different than the defaults of 50001, and 50002 for ssl.) I will include it with the release of the client. https://github.com/protonn/electrum-dgb/blob/master/lib/network.py#L49
Im wanting to start testing digibyte integration through the daemon for my gaming services website. Does digibyte have a testnet and where can i get a buttload of coins to test?
I don't want to use live as i don't want to use real coins...
Anyone able to help?
Start your DGB client with the flag -testnet
A directory named testnet3 will be created in your dgb data folder
It doesn't look like there's anyone on the testnet. You can try solo mining if you can find a node too connect to. Additionally, you can simply pair 2 separate clients of your own in order to solo mine.
What is the best pool for mining this with an Sha256 ASIC?
I think this coin could double its community if you had a evangelist to try to get people to mine it with their old ASICS.
The age old dilemma...mining support.
Argentum has been having it's fair share of intermittent SHA miners. If anyone ends up pointing their old SHA miners to DGB, don't be shy, merge mine Argentum!
I pushed a minor update for Electrum Digibyte today. Still could use help in the "compilation department", if anyone has free time.
Just FYI there's 115,000 DGB sitting on DigiBot (on Telegram) for you when you've successfully created the binaries. I wish I could help but Im swamped atm IRL and the little devving I can do is going towards other things. Thanks for your contributions dude!
I can get BTC Electrum, and the latest LTC Electrum (with updated Wine scripts) to run just fine. Can't get DGB Electrum to run on the same Windows machine even when using LTC's updated Wine scripts.
I can't seem to track down a log on Windows. I checked the event viewer and did a search with no luck.

heh yeah I remember the windows compilation being a bit of a pain in the ass but I can take a look when I'm free.
Edit - Took a look through the major commit and everything looks pretty good. Well done on the difficulty algo.
I may have skimmed over it but have you tested exporting/importing privatekeys? It's easy to miss but the privkey address version is actually 128 + 0 rather than the standard 128 + 30 (mainnet addres version).
I fixed the private key import function with the params you listed. Working as it should now. Thanks!
Please see RELEASE-NOTES starting at 2.7.2b (initial DGB release)
Building a Windows client is a little sketchy. I can build the executable's, but when opened, the program closes immediately. The problem exists with the portable exe, and when installed via the setup file. The linux client works when run from terminal (sudo electrum-dgb) but otherwise it has the same issue as windows and closes by itself. I haven't had much time to troubleshoot lately. Hopefully someone else can help out.
Please feel free to contribute. At this time you will have to run your own Electrum server for testing. I don't have anywhere to host my database, so you will have to build the Electrum Server database from scratch, and it will take a roughly a day depending on your setup.
There's been a lot of updates on the source at github.com/spesmilo/electrum that I haven't had time look over and to merge.
Thanks very much for work you have done on this protonn, it's great. Jared has promised server space for this project, I reminded him again after seeing your post. Hope eso may be willing to help you out too.

I can't recall if I tried importing private keys yet. I'll take a look at the code when I get some free time (hopefully tonight) and check it out. When I was testing the Argentum version I focused testing issues along those lines, but when I was working on the Digibyte version I was really focusing on getting a windows exe up and running so people could test it.

Re: ★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] - A Professional Crypto Launching ✈ @ 7 PM UTC ✔
it takes max two hours to clone a "next generation" coin. or did you add any new features?
We are working on a coin mixing service as we feel true anonymity is paramount within a cryptocurrency. No, it was not added into the initial source code as it is still a ways off. We are also starting to work on a second generation light weight wallet. The coin is very fast as our intent was to make a coin so you could walk into Starbucks and buy some coffee within a minute. You have to start somewhere right?
So, after two years what is the situation with anonymity? What progress did you make?
I think firstly we need electrum wallet for fast and easy using. People will use DGB more with electrum wallet at least i will use it
DGB does need a electrum wallet, the core wallet puts many people off.
