I am going to keep this short and straight forward as possible as I can:
-We lost many of our key investors due to a flame war that happened back in end of May.
-Our volume was decreasing overtime during bitcoin's all time low this year.
-An exponential rise of another coin took the spot light and started a trend during bitcoin's low.
-Bitcoin rises again, vertcoin value decreases, but vertcoin remained around a $1 USD.
-FUD and flame threads/post over the course of the time. And it is still happening till this day!
There is far much more to it, but these are some of the important factors that contributed to the downhill of vertcoin. With all that happening despite with new releases coming out for vertcoin, it was the perfect moment to get out. If you look at the top 100 address for vertcoin, you will see that a lot of the addresses have changed dramatically. There were a chunk of addresses in the top 100 from back in January, February, and March. Look at it now, you won't see that many. It is unfortunate all this had to happen because of flame wars like these post kept occurring. If you want these investors back, the community is going to have to earn it. Rebuild and refocus on vertcoin reputation with good intentions and positivity. Continue with FUD and flame post, and you will further hurt vertcoin.

Their objective was quite clear in here. It was unfortunate it happened for this long. I would like to give people the benefit of the doubt and not come to conclusions so fast, but they really went overboard. Let's keep this a positive environment.

That is what it was meant for! The development team are over there and is easier for you to communicate with them, rather than going back and forth with members.

The vertcoin community and the development team are aware that vertcoin inflation may be an issue and is taken seriously at this time. Please don't feel that the community is not listening and your inputs are taken into consideration. This is why the development team have brought this concern to the public and are doing their best to find a resolution. In addition, to constantly abuse the community for over a month does not speed up the process, nor does it make your argument any better.

Jiggy, are you saying those who did not agree with changing the rewards did not care? These people spent their time to voice their opinion in what they thought was best for the community. Not only that, they had legitimate reasons to back why it should not be changed. Furthermore, note that the development team has not made an official announcement yet. But, you have every right to do what you want. No one is stopping you. Best luck to you, though.

I just backdated all the way back to mid-May going through over the last 100 pages in this thread and it is the same 5 people (no more than 6 people) spreading that inflation is the culprit of vertcoin decrease in value. But there is much more to it from gathering information from various sources.

Jiggy, this is a people's coin afterall. What I think Othe meant is if majority of the community disagrees with the inflation, then the majority vote is what is going to be used to decide what will be done or not. This is how it was done when deciding the n-factor for vertcoin. Although, this is not set in stone yet. Hopefully, the community can come to some sort of agreement. =)

I understand that you are one of the people that want it drastically change, but have you not seen the other side as well? You don't need to keep repeating yourself. You have to see it from other perspectives as well and not just for yourself. I am trying to be as neutral and fair as possible. Yet, you come at me with such hostility. I haven't disagreed or agreed with you. Furthermore, if you reread what I wrote, I said "yet". Like I said, the inflation concern is in the works.

I myself have already stated the emission should be changed, it has to be smooth in my opinion, a regular decrease in the blockreward system and not only every 4 years.
This is something that I can work with as it is not as drastic as halving or severely reducing the block rewards as some people are mentioning. Because we have people wanting to fix the inflation and others do not. I think we, the vertcoin community, just needs to meet in the middle somewhere; a smooth gradual reduction overtime may be the best option, like Othe mentioned.
There is just not enough evidence, facts, or information in reducing the block rewards will save vertcoin. Theoretically, you would think so, but it is not always the case and this is why I cannot agree with reducing block rewards significantly or halving the blocks rewards, yet. Yes, some coins may be lucky, but some are not. If something needs to be done with inflation, then, Othe's opinion has my support!
With that being said, the inflation concern is being heavily discussed and it is not an easy decision for the development team as there are many opinions in what people want. At some point, there will be an answer to this inflation concern. Stay calm, relax, and enjoy the weekend!

Wanna know why it's price keeps falling, even with all the nice features added to vertcoin? Because too many vertcoin are being minted each day, like over 20,000 vtc's are mined each day....There's HUGE HUGE inflation with Vertcoin, and all those mined vertcoins are being DUMPED on the exchanges. The price will always continue to fall until Vertocoin reaches 1 satoshi(1/100 of a cent) per coin.
That's why, the devs need to change the block reward, make it so only around say, 2,000 vertcoin, are mined each day. If the devs dont do that, say goodbye to Vertcoin.

vertcoin devs are stupid as fuck. This coin was already instamined over 600k coins. They need to change the fucking block reward, it was already instamined, if they dont change it, this coin is Dead.
No one is going to listen to you with a mere sentence and no information to back your claim.
