I like the idea but, your site needs some work.

For example:

Searching Silver Rings and bracelets, I get gold ones.
http://cryptojeweler.com/silver/rings
http://cryptojeweler.com/silver/bracelets

Also with as many products you have available, you could offer some better search options.

I wish you luck though.

Especially with everything being up in the air, like it is.

Deprived hasn't posted in a while, what is the status update?

A couple of people (me included) have tried sending PMs to him both here and on the litecoin forum. He hasn't logged in here since the 30th, and on the litecoin forum since the 6th.

His last post on the 27th (where he mentioned paying a weeks' worth of DMS.MINING dividends in advance) suggested he intended to be away for a bit, but we are well beyond that now.

There could be absolutely nothing to report while he is looking for a new exchange, but a status update would be nice.

Though I don't fully agree with Vodd (aka Vod) hunting you down, pay your debt via BTCJam or don't pay it all.

If you pay your loan outside of the system, you are still looking as possible arbitration from BTCJam. As long as you've been honest, that may cost you your job.

Also, you may get stuck paying the debt twice since BTCJam has no records of any direct transactions.

If your going to run, just man up and run already. Don't reply. Just go.

It would be nice to find out why Burnside decided to throw in the towel before considering this.  If it's because he doesn't have a broker/dealer license, that is something that can't be fixed overnight.

Because if he sells the functioning exchange itself he has significantly more legal liability.
Apologies, I understand why he is selling just the code etc...  My question, as someone who is interested in buying the code, is what prompted Burnside to close in the first place.  Was it SEC or FINCEN stuff, or the LABCOIN IPO, or some other personal reason?  I am guessing it was the first item, as I just received a notice from Dwolla that they are severing all times with the Bitcoin community.

Oh, it's getting more "interesting" by the moment!

In another post I authored, someone mentioned Ripple could be used for a distributed stock exchange.  Sorry not familiar with it.  Worth considering?  I am sure Deprived would like to keep this thread strictly for DMS.  So the other thread is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=308012.msg3315889#msg3315889

I'd also guess on it being the SEC. Can't imagine anyone seeing trading as money laundering.

I'm just wondering what's going to happen to my 230 shares of DMS.MINING. Mostly because I used a loan to get them and I really should sell off some shares.

From what I understand BTC ETF's have been shot down. We'll see though.

Good luck.

Btct.co is shutting down. Bitfunder.com is no longer accepting customers in the US.

Havelock investments is the only US based stock exchange available currently and even teh existing ones seem to be afraid of the US gov't killing it via stupid regulations.
