Lightning channel stuck closing, no info except remote public key.

I reset my lightning node. I didn't realize it would force close all of the open channels. All of them have closed except for one. All that is listed is the remote public key. This has been stuck open, in the state "closing" for weeks now. I think it is causing funds to be stuck in my wallet. Is there any way to move this channel closing along?

Have you ever raised the hashrate? I'm still getting about 15GH/s with the following instructions:

sudo cgminer/cgminer --bmsc-options 115200:0.57 -o stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u xxx -p xxx --bmsc-voltage 0800 --bmsc-freq 1286

After running it about 20 hours I have nothing to complain about the U3 so far. I will keep it underclocked because it seems to run quite stable that way. And it doesn't matter anyway 50 Gh/s or 67 Gh/s is way too little in any case these days.

Where did you pick up a U3? I'm looking around... I'd like to pay bitcoin.

At least use a VPN.   Cheesy

I can't figure out how to run a node through PIA VPN. Should I use their SOCKS5 proxy option? Will my node traffic automatically be routed through the VPN if I am running the PIA client software?

Re: [PATCH] increase block size limit
by
puck2

Only recently I learned about this block size limit.

I understand not putting any limit might allow flooding. On the other hand, the smaller your block, the faster it will propagate to network (I suppose.. or is there "I've got a block!" sort of message sent before the entire content of the block?), so miners do have an interest on not producing large blocks.

I'm very uncomfortable with this block size limit rule. This is a "protocol-rule" (not a "client-rule"), what makes it almost impossible to change once you have enough different softwares running the protocol. Take SMTP as an example... it's unchangeable.

I think we should schedule a large increase in the block size limit right now while the protocol rules are easier to change. Maybe even schedule an infinite series of increases, as we can't really predict how many transactions there will be 50 years from now.

Honestly, I'd like to get rid of such rule. I find it dangerous. But I can't think of an easy way to stop flooding without it, though.

Why exactly is Bitcoin rallying? Nothing has changed.

Unless you are at the center of the universe, in a black hole, or at absolute zero, things are always changing.  Grin

At this time, please download the pre-compiled Release Candidates and read the PDF regarding the use of the wallet.  When fully functional, the source will be made available.  Please follow this link:

I get a 404 at this link... Where should I go to make sure I'm up to date after fork?
