UPS is cheaper but DHL is better. I use DHL for international shipping always. Should still be 150USD to ship that card (plus customs), better to buy it locally unless you buy more than one card.

... I put that inside the medium flat rate box without extra packaging. It could move freely inside. Even still, the card itself is cushion inside its anti-static bag and foam in box. I don't see how it could have been damaged in shipping.

I ran it at 1050mhz, 300 mem, 65% fan, low 70c temps

Fan spins but not video. Card doesn't even warm up after some minutes. atiflash doesn't detect the card. Anything I can try?
If you pack something, it should not make any sound when you shake it, always fill it up with something, cheap way is using newsletters (I always use the packing peanuts).

So the card got banged up inside the box, most likely the force of the banging moved the cooler (just a little bit), banging or at least re-applying the banging-force to the GPU itself. I would just RMA it, packing it so it doesn't make any sound inside the box, and when you get it back, sell it again.

Before, I bought a lot of hardware on Ebay and got a lot of banged up stuff in as the sellers didn't stuff the box up well. Newegg for example also ships stuff without filling up the box, they have A LOT of DOAs from that.

Anyway, 1 hour and 23 minutes to go for me till I can post something useful and/or buy something from one of the members. When buying, I like to use a moderator/admin from this forum to do the transaction but what would the cost (%) be?

Cost % for doing escrow?  I know John K does it for whatever people tip, usually 1-2% (i think?).
For 1-2% you can't go wrong there. Let me contact John K for that, sorry for hijacking this topic. Wink Thank you.

Still, spammers will post in the newbie-section and say something like "Cool Story" or anything useless (I saw that yesterday). They might even use the background color for the font color and put in some hidden text (seen on the forum I moderate on so many times) linking to some of their darn websites.

Did you ever see the length of a bitcoin address? And do you know you have to sync it with the network? Just think about it.

If they ever ship, there will be a better alternative.

I'll keep it with my videocards and FPGA boards (not from BFL)...

You need 5 posts in the newbie forum, after that you can pollute the rest of the forum (less the mod-section). I'm new too and just found out the hard way. Huh
