I sold my computer and bought about 0.006 bitcoin.
For the rest of money, I saved them in my bank account.
I hope this decision is right.
We often leave expensive electronic devices at home unused. You made a right decision to invest in BTC instead of leaving such valuables at home. I think you have decided to buy Bitcoin at the right time. And in a few months Bitcoin halving is supposed to happen and the price of Bitcoin can go up a lot. So I would say invest more if you can and hold it for longer. I hope your investment will be successful in future.
I'm a 19-year-old student studying in college and I don't make a lot of money yet. I'm saving Bitcoin with the little money I have because at least for me, bitcoin is  very good investment. I'm not even trying to get rich overnight with Bitcoin. You might sit down and think about getting rich with a little bit of bitcoin, but I don't think about that. I'm quite busy preparing for exams. Well, your advice doesn't mean anything to me, because I don't look at Bitcoin that way.

It seems that everyone is optimistic about the Bitcoin price and the forum got full with Bitcoin noobs posting meaningless forum threads. Grin
OP, nobody gives a damn about what you sold and how many BTC you have bought. Just do your thing and good luck with your Bitcoin journey. This is a really tiny amount of BTC. Do you expect to become a millionaire overnight by making such "grandiose" Bitcoin investment?
Just keep HODLing your coins and don't panic, when the price crashes(it will crash sooner or later). Don't get involved into any "crypto investment" schemes offering your ridiculous profits and don't get involved into crypto day trading. If you keep this advice you will be fine.
I don't invest in bitcoin to get rich overnight. Why judge a person at your disposal?
You joined the forum in 2015. I envy you. You could have bought Bitcoin at a very cheap price. But I was an elementary school student at the time and didn't know about Bitcoin. Now I know Bitcoin. I'm still a student and don't have much money, but I wanted to invest in Bitcoin. Don't be so sarcastic at me like that.

In order to be concrete proof that you are selling the computer, can you embed a link to the computer image sold.
It takes a visual appearance for there to be proof that you sold your computer and also bought an amount of 0.006 BTC.

Want to sell whatever it is the decision of the owner of the goods and start investing in Bitcoin.
I've even sold my bike to invest in Bitcoin in the past.
Long-term holding will certainly be worth it, but 0.006 BTC is still very minimal enough, you need to do DCA if you have other funds later.
I can't understand why you are trying to mock me. Seems like you came to this forum in 2015. I envy that so much because you could buy bitcoin at very low price. Unfortunately, I was in elementary school in 2015, I am korean and most of Koreans didn't know about bitcoin back then. I am 19 now, and trying to accumulate bitcoin as much as I can. Maybe I am little late. Please don't try to make fun of me or mock me.

Assuming it is true what you say, do you have another computer, or laptop or tablet? Because selling the computer and being left with nothing like it doesn't sound like a good idea. It is also not the same if you use it only to play games than to do work. Can you expand a bit on your situation?
Yes. I have Samsung laptop. It's a small laptop, but I think I can use it for my college life.

Would it be enough to buy 100 dollars worth of Bitcoin every month?
by

on 07/12/2023, 23:45:03 UTC
I'm preparing for the college entrance exam to go to college, so I can't make money from working. I get about $100 of allowance from my father every month. I use all of them to buy bitcoin because I can use father's credit card for expenses such as food, clothes. I can buy Bitcoin on a satoshi basis every month, but when I see people buying Bitcoin basis on the internet, I feel like I'm too behind myself. Maybe they have a much higher income than me because they have a job. I think I can only invest $100 a month for the next year or two, would that be enough? I am worried about missing big bull market with halving and etf approval.

Looking to sell a computer to raise money to invest in Bitcoin.

I'm 19 years old, living in Korea, and I'm thinking of selling a computer to raise money to invest in bitcoin. I think I can sell it for about $600. I get about $100 a month as an allowance from my father. $100 is only for personal use, not for living expenses. I've been using these $100s to buy bitcoin for a few months now. It's ridiculously small money, but I believe it could be quite a lot of money if I keep saving it steadily. Is selling a computer the right decision?

I'm a 19-year-old boy living in South Korea and now btt, doge, shiba inu, etc.. have skyrocketed in just a few hours on our country exchange 'upbit'. A little fomo is coming. I can't believe it's gone up more than a months I've invested in bitcoin. I personally don't want to invest in other coins, as I think bitcoin is superior.
What kind of mindset should I have to stay in Bitcoin? And I think Bitcoin is about to hit the highest price ever, so how should I plan my dca strategy?

Frankly speaking OP  Angry its better you go back to Electrum wallet ASAP and create a new wallet and move all your assets from that Samsung wallet into the Electrum wallet, you have made a stupid decision already and I hope it's not too late.

Either it's Samsung store or Iphone very own store, scammers do have quit good numbers of make believe Bitcoin and crypto wallets on there, waiting for someone who is careless to download and import their recovery seed, I just hope it's not too late already.

There is no crypto wallet that's from Samsung mobile company, not a single one, the only one available was made for hardware wallet with galaxy block chain, it's like using OKX wallet or Metamask with your hardware wallet, but it doesn't require you to import your keys.

What do you Mean? I downloaded it from galaxy store and it is introduced in samsung's official website too.

can't understand why Korea is in speculation
by
puradak
on 05/12/2023, 14:28:33 UTC
I am 19 years old Korean. I am little sad because of people's mind here. I think Korea is an advanced country and I think Korea has a higher perception of cryptocurrency than other countries. However, I think Korea is investing(I think almost speculating) more in altcoins (Dogecoin, Ripple, EOS, Quantum, Solana, etc) than Bitcoin.  Their investment is around $50,000 (average Korean adult income per year). I don't understand why they spend all their investments on trashy altcoins with the money they can get from saving a year without spending a penny. $50,000 is money that adult men have to save for over 10 years in most countries except developed countries. If Korea focuses more on bitcoin investment, I think there will be a lot of new rich people in 10 years. What do you think? Koreans don't buy bitcoin, thinking there's no difference between bitcoin and altcoins.

I am 19 years old and I am living in south korea. I transfered all of my bitcoin from electrum to Samsung blockchain wallet.
They provide restore phrase and wallet. It is an app that you can download through galaxy store.
I think this is quite safe because Samsung is very legit company.
They also say that they can't see my restore phrase.
I am curious about your opinion.

Re: can you donate bitcoin?

<...>

I have doubts about the request for Bitcoin donations to aid children in the shelter.  While helping kids is noble, the vagueness gives me pause.  I want to believe this is well-intentioned, but cannot commit funds without complete transparency.  What assurances can you give, beyond your words?

In Korea, many people still think Bitcoin is a gamble or a scam.
But I've been looking up Satoshi's past writings on the Internet and looking up what Bitcoin is for a long time.
I think Bitcoin is sound money and it's borderless money. I thought it was a great opportunity for people around the world to demonstrate the power of the bitcoin system if they could join forces through the bitcoin system and donate to someone in need.
If the donation is successful, I will make sure to post the details of the use of the funds and the photo of the certification.

Where I live, there is a government shelter where children who live without their parents are gathered.
Of course, it's a government-run place, but I thought I wanted to give them a small gift.
As a bitcoin coiner, I'm going to take donations and use them for them. I'm a 19-year-old boy living in Korea, and I want to help them with all my heart without any malicious intent or fraud.
I think it will be a good experience for us to donate in Bitcoin. Donate even a small amount, please!
If the donation goes well, I'll post some pictures on the forum!

what if bitcoin becomes inferior

I looked for traces of Satoshi on the Internet. I've read all of his posts since 2009. He is sublime. If you read his writing, you can feel his passion. I have a little bit of bitcoin. I'm pretty relieved just to have Bitcoin. But if you look back at history.. Yahoo lost to Google. Yahoo was great, but Google was even better. Satoshi gave us a gift called Bitcoin without any greed and went somewhere. The problem is, new geniuses are born all the time, and technology advances. Bitcoin is not physics. It's blockchain technology. Which means that bitcoin is not an immutable law. A better technology than Bitcoin could emerge. What should we do if someone gives us a better system than bitcoin as a gift and leaves? It performs better than Bitcoin, and it even has the perfect decentralization of Bitcoin, which we value highly. Bitcoin was created in 2009, and now it's 2023. Cars made in 2009 cannot be better than cars made in 2023 or later. What if someone with as much genius and passion as Satoshi is creating a system better than Bitcoin?

Right. Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin. He's a genius. Bitcoin systems and communities are working perfectly, and everyone is crazy about Bitcoin. But what happens if someone creates a blockchain that is faster and better than Bitcoin and puts it out into the world without any greed, as Satoshi did? Are people going to ditch Bitcoin away? In that moment, we're going to see a blockchain that's performing better than Bitcoin and is perfect for decentralization that everyone emphasizes. What will happen?
