Re: Can one have any expertise in Speculating?

There's no better speculator as you're still speculating, you're just reading rumour after rumour without backing it up with anything that doesn't make your bet very likely to happen. If you want a more proactive approach to rumours, I think the best thing to do is to do your own analysis not only by doing the rumour's background research, but also by reading the charts from technical analysis and see if it really supports it. Speculation is not going to lead you to anything.

Re: How to invest my $1.5K?
by

If you want to get straight up into the water then you should gamble the 700 so you can have a taste of how the demand for cryptocurrencies is doing. So, after you have some experience and also some water testing lesson, that's when you're going to invest or lose the 800 left. And let it grow slowly but surely so that before the year ends you can have a big portfolio.

Re: How long do you hold on a trade.
by

on 19/01/2020, 22:08:07 UTC
I have an average of like five holding days, I'm a day trader, and if my coin fails to reach my target selling price in five trading days, I'll sell it or if the price reaches my reduced loss limit. I don't want to keep it anymore because I know the market still has coins that can make me a boost. I'm a sort of trader that doesn't suit me to keep for a long time.

Re: BTC- When it back to 20k

Most people would say it's bad to buy at peak, but we never know when that would ever happen because we can't really define a peak in this volatile market. It's disappointing that this price matches your investment period, but I guess all you can do now is wait. When you trust your skills in trading, you can do that as well. Given your losses, you will be able to get a profit gradually if you know how to move your money, which can even get your loss back. But for now, the best thing is to be patient, good things happen to those who are waiting

Re: Nothing is wrong with altcoins

There's actually nothing wrong with altcoin. Major Altcoin like LTC, XRP, and so on are still stable today. Only altcoin garbage has reduced the volume of trading above fifty percent. At the moment, the only debate is just a new altcoin with the potential to become altcoin trash. Altcoin major, as I mentioned above, is rarely discussed, although they have been proven to have a good development for years, but with bitcoin they have lost the price difference. That's what concerns a lot of people.

I would tell that this is the year I'm already grown up this coming year, I'm already aware of how the market works, how things are going in the real world, and that being careful all the time. This is the year I decide what I really want and I would prefer to do day trading, more lucrative and less risk instead of investing

They're smarter than many investors, of course. They always come up with different styles of tricking investors into investing in their project called ponzi scheme, but thorough research into the project will reveal their hidden agendas that can be avoided. We can motivate ourselves to be smarter than them, but greed is going to be a big problem for investors.

Re: Anyone else think "long term" hodlers are idiots?

To me, holding in the long term is not an idiocy, it was just the result of not having an option. Many long-term hodlers, as you will note, are just small investors. They have no choice but to hodl because they can't afford to lose the small amount of money in their pockets. Although some of them are trying to trade, they can't, sadly, because their money may not be a good starting capital.

Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments
by
purebitco
on 19/01/2020, 00:03:30 UTC
Cryptocurrency such as bitcoin can be easily transferred or passed on to anyone anonymously and with this concept and in turn, it could be that any amount of money can be sent anywhere and substituted by exchanges everywhere. This makes money more mobile and if your bitcoin gets hacked any amount transferred can be considered a loss to the economy and could thus create economic problems especially if transfer is easily enabled. It's really trying to limit or even ban the government

All in all I really don't like the kucoin exchange and there is reason why you shouldn't like it as well. Their withdraw fees are really massive usually, besides that they don't have the stop market orders which is just ridiculous knowing that the altcoin price can drop 20%+ over night when you sleep.

Re: Will bitcoin will move up if there is a war with Iran

Well, why America and Iran will be at war in the first place? Perhaps there's a problem that I'm not updating with the news due to being too busy in school work. Anyway, I don't think so that Bitcoin's price might be affected if war really emerges then Bitcoin's prices will drop significantly, but I'm not so sure because we won't know what's going to happen if a war breaks out, I'm sure if war might start affecting the whole world, but we don't want that to happen so we should hope war won't happen again.

Re: US- Iran Tensions boost Bitcoin price to $24,000
by

on 17/01/2020, 22:22:47 UTC
It is true that the conflict between the U.S. and Iran will bring a lot of misery in all ways, not only the economy but also everything will be affected by this war, without a doubt, the economy will be the main thing and the price of oil will be severely affected. So when the oil price gets high then everything is going to face a lot of crisis in every area, but it's not time to say that the bitcoin price is going to get high because of the U.S. and Iran war, but Tramp is playing with fire, I think both tramps and Iran are going to pay a huge price if they can't stop right now.

Bitcoin and another close second is Ethereum, because there are so many ERC-20 tokens in nature and it's very simple to store several tokens with the same wallet, combined with the fact that ethereum is more flexible than bitcoin and transaction fees are so small, Ethereum can also be purchased in all major worldwide exchanges so it's easy to obtain, even though I don't like it's price movement.

Re: Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down...
by

on 17/01/2020, 20:53:31 UTC
There's so much talk about what's going to happen to bitcoin. Others say bitcoin will go down, others say bitcoin will go up, but that's just a guess, and we don't know what's going to happen later. If you can think about what might happen to bitcoin, you're going to be prepared for the two circumstances that will happen to bitcoin. Second, if the price is really down, you're going to make some plan on how to avoid the downward price of bitcoin. Second, if the price is up, you're going to make another tactic on how to make a profit so you can take advantage of the bitcoin.

Re: BTC which price it's heading next?
by

on 16/01/2020, 22:03:39 UTC
I don't think there's going to be a huge spike this month in the price of Bitcoin, because people are going to turn some of their coins into fiat. Perhaps Bitcoin won't reach nine grand unless there is going to be a trend that will affect the market. In my view, as the next halving is closer, we should take this opportunity to acquire more Bitcoins. Halving, perhaps after this incident there will be some big changes so I guess it's better to be prepared before it's too late.

Re: When is the perfect time to sell BTC?
by
purebitco
on 16/01/2020, 21:43:34 UTC
If you're sure you're going to get a lot of sales, I think it's all right to sell bitcoin now and then take the profit. Since Bitcoin's going to be very volatile tomorrow or in a week. So you're losing the money. In addition to speculation, the important thing to invest in crypto is morals not to be greedy. Sometimes people continue to hope that the value of a coin will continue to rise and delay selling, but the coin does not actually rise. And selling is the right decision if you already have profit...

Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto?
by

In real life, I have never visited a casino, and I don't worry about it. I never visit betting offices to bet on results in sports, but I usually prefer to do so online. In fact, using crypto currency for ease of use is more appealing to me, and I don't like using cash for gambling. While it is easier to control yourself when using cash, using cash in gambling is not a very good thing for me, nor is it very logical and easy to do because of country regulations. That's why I prefer to use gambling with crypto money.

Re: Now that we are in 2020
by

If we want to see the bitcoin pump price, not all altcoins can adopt the bitcoin price because typically several projects won't be able to compete with each other. As they usually run out of funds so they don't get a lot of support on their projects, please go to the old altcoin where investors and communities are always there. Thinking about ICO, it's better to leave because security no longer seems feasible. More towards IEO by exchanging good names as third parties, of course, stop hoping for Bitcoin in the next few weeks.

I don't know of any programme that allows you to play on your computer because I haven't tried playing on my phone. I'm going to have a hard time watching my bets. I also have certain habits that I can only do while playing on my desktop and that crosses my fingers after making a bet, I can't do that on my phone, I could drop it
