There will be another purge of altcoins, in the next few years IMO, in which a large number of alts will fall drastically in price - the ones which have low adoption or non existent tech and utility and that's when the ecosystem will start maturing.
Checkout Blockstack - token sale is ongoing, and Polkadot - they're planning on doing a secondary token sale towards the end of the year.
I just heard them. where do they sell IEO? or their plan to sell IEO? if I have a good exchange and competent developer, I might be able to join there.
For Blockstack, you'll find more details here - https://stackstoken.com/. The public token sale is live till the 9th of September.

Completely agree with the viewpoint. We're already seeing happen with majority of the blockchain based innovation happening in countries with favourable regulatory environments like Singapore, Switzerland. The gulf in innovation in this space will increasingly widen between these countries and ones with unclear/unfavourable regulations IMO.

I've used Tether and Dai in the past. There's a lot of interesting stuff being built in the decentralized finance space that utilizes Dai which should help increase it's adoption.

Some of the best places to find good developers are hackathons, blockchain conferences and community meetups IMO. They're happening in most major cities around the world these days

IEOs are in my opinion better than ICOs because of the due diligence that the exchange conducting them has to do as opposed to it being done by the retail investor in the case of ICOs. On the downside, this gives the exchanges a lot of leverage which is bound to create problems.

I think dollar cost averaging is a good strategy if you plan on holding for the long term. I try to do that every 2-3 months while maintaining the same portfolio allocation across asset classes - stocks, bonds, crypto etc.

I have a part of my portfolio in long term hold bitcoin, which I don't trade or convert to altcoins. To buy altcoins, I use my trading budget or fiat.

Start with 'Technical Analysis Of The Financial Markets' By John Murphy, you should be able to find the e-book pretty easily. Then move onto a dummy trading account and try applying what you learn.

DEX's are the future, especially in times of an uncertain regulatory environment. Only a matter of time before we get a truly decentralized exchange with all of the usability benefits of a CEX, without the centralization. We're getting there.
