1 unit ordered

http://blockchain.info/tx/626b24875d2bbc735b6d06bafe8599da5fcdb432453c75201b7f2b665d7bdb4c

Did anybody get anything that looked like a confirmation email?  The last email I have is the password reset I needed to do on the avalon store since it wasn't giving me my activation email when I signed up.  I purchased as a guest on walletbit, and while walletbit was waiting to confirm with the ajaxy QR code, the tab crashed in chrome.  Either way, sleep now, and hopefully everything will be magic by the time I wake up.  It's Saturday morning dammit.

I never got an email when I signed up for the store, but after a password reset I was able to log in.

They have my coins now.  Not sure if any of it went through, but hopefully I'll at least get a refund if they over sold the units.

Awesome, so far a bit cheaper than cloudcracker

Sure, you could probably set the bounty to .01 coins if you wanted, and someone is eventually going to find and crack it.

At the same time, someone might set a bounty for like 5 bitcoins, and then if you feel lucky, you can run the handshake against one of those services, and maybe get a hit.

I have had my paypal account banned for selling coins, and I never had a chargeback (was only selling to high reputation customers).  My theory is the spike in volume of my paypal account triggered an audit, and they saw my IPN callback was set to a bitcoin related website.

Cracking WPA2 with Bitcoin

(copypasta from my reddit post here http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/11ugpg/cracking_wpa2_with_bitcoin/)

Hey, I'm set to go on stage at ToorCon in San Diego a bit later today to demo my new website. The service is a bit rough right now, but in general, you post a wpa2 handshake and send a bounty that I store in escrow, and then later someone comes along (maybe you!) cracks the hash, and receives the bitcoins, and then you get emailed with the passphrase.

I think that this is also especially good timing because with the shipping of ASIC miners and splitting of the block reward both coming soon, there will be a ton of people who want bitcoins and have garages full of GPUs.

http://hashbounty.net (the service)

I'd be happy for any feedback. Thanks!

Has anyone gotten notification email after joining?  I signed up and sent in the coins a couple hours ago, but haven't seen anything in my email.

Sounds cool, you should talk with nanotube about some of the web services he is setting up related to the bitcoin-otc web of trust, and it would be nice to be able to link bitcoinlocator.com identities as well, since at the end of the day, that might be the most sustainable model for selling coins.  I don't know who runs bitcoinlocator, but it would be neat if they integrated into the web of trust as well.

I run btcnow.net, and after months of fighting with google checkout (got my IPN code working tonight), I'm taking my chances with paypal (with some major restrictions).  It will be a good test to see if they are still hostile towards bitcoin.  I operated fine on checkout for a while, but once one jackass got it in their head that it was some sort of criminal scam, they banned my account, and hunted down any new ones I tried to open up.  They said I didn't violate any TOS, but my business model was just "incompatible" with google checkout, and they wouldn't tell me anything more for "security reasons".

Hey is this still active?  The version in the repos seems to be 0.3.24-beta, and 0.4.0 has been out for a while.

btcnow.net online and dynamic

Hey, I have made most of my posts about my website, http://btcnow.net on reddit, but I thought it might be good to officially announce it here as well.  At btcnow, you can buy bitcoins with google checkout.  Also, a new feature is that the pricing is now dynamic, so as the market goes up and down, my prices do as well.

When you buy coins, they will automatically be sent 15 minutes later.  They were being sent instantly, but since a few days ago, google has had trouble recognizing the difference between digital and tangible orders, so until that gets fixed, there will be a slight delay.

If you have any suggestions, questions, comments etc, please let me know.   Thanks!

wait look at the prices $18 a coin lol that guy is almost doubling his profits if he bought them at 9.** a coin

He changed from $14 to $18. That's stretching the rope... People will not pay $18 for a bitcoin right now.

Anyway, I think he only wants to test out the scammers. Someone should claim a chargeback on him  Cool

I sold about 60 coins total at 18 over the course of about a week, I dropped the price down to 8.5 and sold maybe 150 coins in less than 24 hours, and now I am in desperate need of more coins.  Google waits 10 days until paying me, and fking gox dwolla tradehill are all pains in the ass with their delays.  Buying more in cash tonight from some locals in town here.

Hi, I run btcnow.net.  People are talking about my site on a few parts of the forum, and I would like to be able to answer their questions directly, but this site is being a pain.  I have done the 5 posts, but the time aspect has been difficult.  I have been clicking around the site all day at work and all night but the time keeps stopping.  Even now it says I have only been on for 2 hours.  I took some people advice, and stopped opening tabs, but even then the time keeps stopping, which is exceedingly frustrating.

A whitelist would be greatly appreciated about now.

Hey :-)  Ya, I read this forum (and run btcnow.net) but have been stuck in the damn newbies forum while everyone talks about my services.  Pretty annoying :-)   By the way, with some whois magic, you can find pretty much everything about me that you could ever want to know.   I finally stopped trying to go through google to deal with my checkout suspension bullshit, and fixed it my own way, so btcnow.net came back online last night.

Why can't people just hit me up on reddit, where I have plenty of karma and can easily respond to questions :-)

I don't understand, people are talking about my bitcoin based services in various threads on this site, but I can only post in the newbie section.  What possible contributions can I make to the site if I can only post in the newbie section?  How can I gain reputation, when all I can do it talk to other newbies?  Very strange.
