According to the new article on the magazine site, he has over 800+ accounts to wade through. And this apparently is not an easy matter to do, and involved considerable time sorting them into batches and then manually processing the payouts.

Which, like everything else involving this exchange and this exchange operator in particular, is nothing but pure hot air.

That article started out about Nefario. Did anyone else get the feeling it ended up being mostly Theymos bashing?

Fucking liars.

I have had my demand in for over 8 days providing all the information this latest line of garbage is spewing for all of my assets to be paid out immediately.

Nefario and all the other criminals who own this exchange are now in debt to me, and I demand payment in full. You have been served notice publicly, and have all the records privately.

I hold every owner of GLBSE the holding company equally liable, being the first rat off the sinking ship with your words does not excuse this obligation.

There's a lot of talk about what legal entity forced the closure of GLBSE. But I'm willing to bet that it wasn't closed as the direct result of any investigation.

I'm willing to bet that after looking into all the legal trouble they might have to go through to get "legit," they instead said "fuck it."

Who engineered these complicated pieces of hardware? Doesn't this require industrial facilities with extremely specialized equipment and people with extremely precise expertise?

You're asking about the BFL ASIC chips? I imagine they have hired the relevant talent by now.

Before they made Bitcoin related devices, didn't BFL do ASICs for other stuff? They might have already had the talent on hand.

Disclosure: I invested $0/0BTC with both pirate and GLBSE.

But you did make that stupid fucking 'bet' about BTCUSD being ≥ $11 in 26 days.  Tongue

How was it stupid? I'm currently in "profit" and still haven't lost a penny like you my friend. I made that bet in July when Bitcoins were $8.50. Please show me how it was "stupid".

Try harder to troll me.  Cheesy

BTW how much did you have invested with PussyAt30?

Edit: How much also did you have invested with GLBSE (Gigantic Lying Bastards Stealing Eggs?)

Not my eggs!

Do some research, he spent time in prison............ Says a lot.
It basically says "he paid his debt to society"...
Just because someone had a conviction doesn't mean they can't change...
Hi, I am a child molester, but I did 10 years in prison. Would you let me take care of your kids, please?

Its a scam, the CEO of BFL is a major scammer and has already been in jail for it too for mail order scam.

If you have already preordered - Don't count on getting your money back.

I thought he was charged with mail fraud because that's what they charged the people involved in the gambling sites? I don't think he actually defrauded someone by mail. Feel free to correct me.

For many services, the honest answer is that they will simply have to close if they come under regulatory or other legal scrutiny - it's about time users were explicitly made aware of that likelihood.

I look forward to the day that every Bitcoin user assumes the existence of counterparty risk when putting their coins to anything rather than assume that they can "trust" someone because they see their friends doing it too.

I look forward to the day when Bitcoin users stop crying "scam" every time they lose money.  The majority of real world start-ups fail.  The majority of Bitcoin start-ups are woefully under-capitalised and have nothing resembling a viable business plan.  That does not in and of itself make them scams.  Calling every venture which fails a scam stops us from looking at the factors these failures have in common - it stops us from developing a collective wisdom which can be used to reduce the chance of future ventures failing.

I agree - we investors are thinking too short term. Let's hope that the failures this year lead to less failures next year.

The exchanges have been around for what, six months?

Selling GreenDot Money Pak for below cost, asking you to release escrow before sending the code.

This user stinks of Scammer, if he is user on here please direct him here.

disclaimer, I have not purchased anything from him yet.

That defeats the point of an escrow arrangement, right?

Goat,  if Nefario ever relists your assets you should make sure never to connect to GLBSE without chaining 15 proxies while using a Linux live CD(at least) Roll Eyes

You gotta get with the times man! Linux live thumbdrive!

Maybe I'm naive, but I think investing is a noble thing to do.

Damn straight. Real world economies would have a little less trouble these days if the ultra-wealthy of the world actually moved that money around rather than sit on it.

Local Rules: the following accounts are banned from posting in this thread: Puppet, EskimoBob, Deprived, Factory, nimda, 556j, MPOE-PR, cunicula and guruvan. Please post scam accusations in the scam accusation forum or you will be banned from next month's thread.

Guruvan, delete your post and stop being an asswipe.

Actually he's trying to make a solid point about FZB valuation which was an active discussion here already - there is significant risk involved with depending on twitter as a business model. This is just a good example of how your local rules are just causing you to make an ass of yourself at the expense of yourself and your investors.

That being said I'd agree with others that the whole reason to buy insurance from CPA - a distinct company on paper - is to provide an appropriate bidwall for NYAN.A. In now way is the market supposed to play into that. CPA is an insurance company who is now being asked, and required by contract, to provide their services. Is there a reason CPA cannot make good on it's contract?

Doesn't matter. Guruvan is not a shareholder and he has issued threats to me in the past. He is a troll and he is banned from posting on this thread.

With this GLBSE thing, I hope that I'm still a shareholder in a few days.

I'm starting to think we should treat the site as though it is in a sort of beta.

I was skimming through the thread (haven't read it entirely yet) and was reminded of the "liquidity loan." I didn't think much - more along the lines of "I haven't read the Lending forum in awhile."

Surely other people have read posts about how unverified mining operations could easily be simple loans, paying back "mining rewards." This kind of discussion has been popping up lately.

With these two things in mind, I recalled the many askwalls recently placed for BMF.

I've stayed up all night working - my mind is probably just tired and paranoid. But on the other hand, I'd love photo evidence of BMFs mining hardware! Got to rest now before it gets any brighter.

You are banned from posting on this thread, and your post will be deleted. If you keep posting here I really hope you get banned from the forums.

Couldnt you repair BMF NAV using the insurance it supposedly holds with CPA ?

If not , why not ?

That's what the insurance was for, I do believe.

Can someone ban this guy until he learns how to behave.

Or should I say "she learns"? So are you Serena or Oliver? I wonder who is the liar around here.

lol you actually are calling me a liar for using a handle, while you yourself use the name "vampire".

Nice going, in one fell swoop you lost all credibility, provided comic relief, and a nifty bump all in one post.

Thanks Smiley

You didn't answer a question? Let's start again:

So are you Serena or Oliver? Or both?

You first. What's your real name?

For the record usagi, you can be my Serena or my Oliver, if you get my drift.  Tongue

They used to have a forum. It's been gone since around the time GLBSE 2.0 launched, and GLBSE launched a support account here because the other forum was poorly supported and resulted in information spread out in two different places.

I see, that is similar to what's been said before. Interesting to know.

Usagi should be viewed as a case study regarding what happens when a person with nearly zero knowledge of finance and business tries to manage a venture (let alone multiple ventures at once.)

On a similar note, several of you have been regularly labeled trolls - in the interests of disclosure, thank you all for asking the hard questions.

Because this isn't just about usagi. This is about future securities being better quality than the fare we have to trade right now. If the community is willing to ask hard questions and pore over spreadsheets, this can only help asset quality.

Right now it might just seem like the drama of the month. But I'm willing to bet that there will be some important lessons learned from all this. Hopefully leading to some permanent changes.

To clarify some points for the typically confused:

I. There can never be a "conflict of interest" in this matter. It makes no difference who makes the accusation. All that matters is whether the accusation is factual and has merit. [...]

Well, there is one upside to not having to make any accusations myself - wouldn't want to get on Nefario's bad side. What if I want to list an asset one day?

You, on the other hand...
