I just finished building a new little farm my friend, which should put out around 1PH-1.2PH.  I’ve installed a 167kva transformer and had to do a bunch of work to get everything ready to start.  And just as I was done this happened to BTC!  Undecided.  So I got like 30 miners currently running just to see how much they make and how much will they charge me for the electricity, I should get at around 6 cents per kilowatt.  I’m just afraid to hook it all up and then have to pay a bunch of money out of my pocket for the electricity! Lol  Grin. So I have to do a test run first!

If I the miners will be able to pay the electric bill then I might be back here soon. Cool
Sounds great. you should join the discord group.

Let’s just hope for the best!  That the BTC will go up and the difficulty go down!  Wink

@NomadGroup when are you coming back? Now would be a good time.

Anyone have some info on how the last LPM firmware performs?
Did they really fix the hashrate drop ?
I've been running the latest lpm firmware on my s9's since Nov 2nd without any hash drop.

Discord is blocking my IP address and has banned my use of the site. How do i fix this issue?

Get a new IP or a VPN. Best bet, is figure out why you've been banned! Did you do something to get banned (be honest with yourself here)? If you did not, you should look deeper at who is sharing your IP address and doing nefarious things with it.

I logged in yesterday for the first time with no interaction on the site. Who is the administrator that would block my IP address?
Discord themselves - doesn't matter what channel/server you are using, if your IP is blocked, it's Discord who did it.
Ok I am using an ASUS router with a VPN. I am not familiar with how the router generates an IP address, can I change it?

What kind of vpn are you using? If it is similar to Nord reboot the router, maybe it will pick up a new ip that is not blacklisted.

Where is a good place to purchase replacement fans for s9. I purchase 4 off of ebay. They arrived individually shrink wrapped and in new condition. 1 works, 1 has no tach, and 2 vibrate like crazy. Maybe I just had bad luck and got a bad batch, any recommendations are appreciated. Thank you,
Kinda off topic, so I'll send ya a PM.

Thanks I ordered spares. I had to turn one miner off. My replacement fan was vibrating so bad I thought the entire miner would be a pile of parts by morning.

Now it's time to get a block!

All May not be lost!  After long hold times w/the bank and email sessions w/bitmain I have gotten them to admit the fact that the problem COULD be on their end (the banks end).  This would be another lifetime first for me made possible by the crazy adventure that is bitcoin mining...MAN what a crazy business we got ourselves mixed up in hey?

I have ordered and paid via wire several times without issue. I usually add a little extra funds to cover banking fees on their end. I prefer paying with BTC when it is available.

Shipping into the US I have had best luck using DHL. When I use UPS I always get a bill for additional customs brokerage fees after delivery. I haven't had any additional fees due with DHL.

The *sigh* is because at least 3-4x a month here and in other threads someone comes up with the same 'idea' of using a cooler. Would they ever think of using a cooler as a room air conditioner by leaving its door(s) open? Unlikely. Why? Because of their low BTU ratings it loses its cool rather fast before cooling off the room and yet the same thought never enters their minds when it comes to cooling miners...

I'll give an 'A' for them considering the idea but folks need to think things through a lot more...

OK, beer cooler might not be enough.  But when I find something I won't just leave them lay in there but rather duct the heat out. I have to have them outside as this is phoenix and it's now 105+ everyday. If I keep em in the house they use too much power to run my air and WE CAN'T HAVE THAT! It's a Mobile Park and my elec is included (no meter even) and I have a garage on a separate circuit but it gets hot in it by the afternoon. I have 5 S3s that I have a total of $150 (w/PSUs) so with them all running my ROI is within my lifetime. Think I wanna pay for em and eventually sell as a package. sort of a mini mining farm. Then buy something with more power and small electric usage that I can maybe just leave in a corner of my place. I have an upright freezer in the garage but I don't wanna cut it up as it's fulla food, but I think it WOULD work.

Swamp cooler might be enough to cool your intake air in the desert.

Guys some suggestions please, should i mine to my trezor or desktop bitcoin core or brd wallet?

Trezor doesn't like lots of small inputs. I mined to my trezor and after about 6 months it started to load slow. I now send my payouts to blockchain.info/wallet/ and then send them in batches to the trezor.

Trezor says..
    Sending pool payouts to TREZOR

In general, it is not recommended to direct pool payouts to hardware wallets like TREZOR. All hardware wallets have limited computational power, especially when compared to a desktop computer, and thus require more time to sign a transaction. This is not an issue with normal transactions, but when spending pool payouts, this can severely prolong the time required. Consolidate your pool payouts in an external wallet and then send your savings to your TREZOR. Alternatively, increase the threshold for pool payouts directed to your TREZOR, so that you don’t receive small amounts every day.

Hello, Summer is here in my region. Just looking for feedback on at what S9 chip temp you shut down at? An earlier post recommends 93F ambient was their hard stop. Thank you for your response in advance.

I'm not sure who wrote this but I saved it via email for reference...
<<<<<<<<
Not sure where you are, but never ever allow the machine to run for any length of time above about 93 or 94 degrees ambient. 34C in take air is our hard/fast max or we shut the machines down. At 35C, like clockwork, we start loosing boards. Make sure you have clean power coming into the PSU.

I'm giving you an example below where any chip temperature above 80 °C will result in red bold text. You can of course adjust the conditions and formatting more if you want.

Code:
"Chip: " + (Convert.ToInt32(stats.ChipTemp1) > 80 ?  "" + stats.ChipTemp1 + "": stats.ChipTemp1) + "/" + (Convert.ToInt32(stats.ChipTemp2) > 80 ?  "" + stats.ChipTemp2 + "": stats.ChipTemp2) + "/" + (Convert.ToInt32(stats.ChipTemp3) > 80 ?  "" + stats.ChipTemp3 + "": stats.ChipTemp3) + " °C"
Just an update. The code works great. Very helpful, thanks again,

I monitor a bunch of s9's with awesome miner and like it a lot. I am displaying chip temp in the progress column. Would it be possible to add an option that adds color by temp to the individual card temp values? That way at a quick glance I could see if a card is running hotter than normal and research to see if the card has a problem or not. thank you,

Who are you guys using for shipping the S9's? UPS - DHL - Fedex
I have used UPS going to Michigan and my god the fees... customs crap, etc.

Have read about DHL and have heard positive things but when you select them on bitmain they say it could be a longer period for shipping.. is that true.

Any input would be helpful, appreciate the time and help... and the Great Pool!

Brickman

I am in the US and have used DHL many times. Very fast delivery 2-3 days and the packages are always in very good condition. I have never had to pay any additional fees upon delivery.

is there a way to be notified if your hash rate drops through Kano?
I use "Dr CKPool" version 4.8 on my android. It's in the play store. It's called CKPool stats by Ah Tong.

It alerts me of new blocks and you can also setup alerts for low miner hash rate.
