Ethereum+: A Peer-to-Peer Digital Asset System

Abstract. The Ethereum+ network is a peer-to-peer digital asset system that enables direct exchange of value without going through a central party. A zero compromise blockchain with the inherent parallelism and performance characteristics of an unspent transaction output (UTXO) based architecture and the Turing Complete programming of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) architectures. This is a breakthrough smart contracting and digital asset system based on SHA512 proof-of-work, designed for extreme throughput and scale.

What is Ethereum+?

Ethereum+ is a revolutionary network designed to solve the problems with all existing blockchains in terms of scale, parallelism and Turing Complete programming. Ethereum+ is a peer-to-peer digital asset system that enables direct exchange of value without going through a central party. Similarly to Bitcoin, the Ethereum+ network requires minimal structure, and timestamps transactions into an ongoing hash-based chain of proof-of-work (SHA512/256). We introduce two novel breakthrough techniques to validate digital assets: unique references and a general purpose induction proof system both of which operate in constant O(1) time and space. It is possible to compose outputs in any manner, without compromising the inherent parallelism and performance characteristics of an unspent transaction output (UTXO) based architecture. Therefore, users can leave and rejoin the Ethereum+ network at will and be assured of the integrity and authenticity of their digital assets.

Zero Compromise Open-source Blockchain: Hybrid Account + UTXO Smart Contracts

The world's first breakthrough hybrid Account + UTXO based architecture engineered for massive layer one (L1) on-chain scaling and Turing Complete smart contracts.Ethereum+ offers the benefits of a UTXO blockchain along with the advanced capabilities of EVM compatible blockchains, but with none of the downsies.

"I had to write all the code before I could convince myself that I could solve every problem, then I wrote the paper. I think I will be able to release the code sooner than I could write a detailed spec." - Satoshi Nakamoto

In the same spirit of Satoshi Nakamoto's launch of Bitcoin, we released a fully operational and software development stack on Day 1, before even writing the White Paper. We wanted to be convinced that the revolutionary and breakthrough system worked before writing about it. No waiting, no limitations, just a scalable blockchain node and toolkit to build your dreams today.

So pool.sumokoin.com says network hashrate of 2.5mhs, with a pool rate of 1.5mhs

sumo.fairpool.xyz doesn't post a network rate, but has a pool hashrate of 2.5mhs.

My math is a bit fuzzy, but it seems like the network hashrate should be at least 4mhs... what am I missing?

I think you misread number, sumo.fairpool.xyz has about 150KH/s only. However, network hashrate is a statistical number and it's sometimes diff from actual one.

Hi Stoff,

We are on the same team. I own a considerable amount of XMR. Monero is a good example to use but make no mistake. The devs who are tirelessly working on Monero code hold many many thousands of XMR so are incentivized in their own way. Which is a good thing.

Monero came about before the ICO Boom where Dev's who missed the Bitcoin rush wanted to try to replicate that with a new coin.

I am sure there are a few altruistic dev's out there but they are very few and very far between.

It would be great if sumo management did confirm how and who holds these coins in escrow. As i agree, its not really escrow if core can access these coins at a whim.

Hi,

FYI, the premined coins were locked on Sumokoin blockchain using a wallet command named "locked_transfer", that's a simple but effective command to use in this case: you can specify how many blocks ahead coins transferred would be unlocked.

Monero is respectable project with its own philosophy and it had a history (on how it started) ofc you knew it well. As a fork, we can never make sure the same level of support from community from beginning as Monero so a premine was set and we don't think it's abnormal among so many coins around. Until now, the decision (to premine by Sumoshi) has proved right and now we can have resources for devs, community, exchanges etc without having to find donation for each task (though I personally don't think donation-based is bad way either). We don't misuse premined coins, even little on hand by now, only a small portion of them was released to market mainly for rewards, exchange submissions, website/logo redesign which are good for our community. And that's why many ppl here support the coin and the community is growing up day by day.

As said at ANN from the beginning, we also set a part of premine for donation to Monero. All coins to donation wallet in the first year will be transferred to Monero project and we are willing to donate more.

At devs meetings, Sumoshi has more than one time insisted that devs should pay respects to all other coins but we'll keep our rights to correct nonsense, groundless info about Sumokoin.

Subaddresses

Haruto has sent a PR for subaddresses and we need more testing to make sure it works flawlessly.

https://github.com/sumoprojects/sumokoin/pull/28

You can also pull and build from Haruto's repo branch here:

https://github.com/haruto-tanno/sumokoin/tree/subaddress

You may use testnet for coin transfers or use small sum to avoid lost real money if there is any issue.

This is my test screen, the subaddress (that I sent coins to) starts with Sub... instead Sumo...:

Thank you.

Hey Devs,

I have this issue with the Sumo miner, sometimes the chrome browser stops responding, it will open fine but you cannot click 60% of hyperlinks and I can confirm it is due to sumo cpu miner. It takes a system restart to get things to normal. Maybe a bug in threads processing??

Well, the nature of all miners is to take all CPU resources they can and therefore freeze all other apps. Pls choose less threads and set priority to "Idle" in a working environment.

Hello,

I've 2 problems:

1. I received the first payment more than 24hours ago, and several payments after that. But my wallet until now still shows balance 0.0000000. I've uninstalled GUI wallet and deleted everything and reinstall, rescan blockchain ... but it is still zero.
2. I run GUI wallet on my Win7 laptop and it stucks at Processing wallet, Height#:0 forever.

Does anyone have any idea about these issues?

Thanks.

1. Try to delete folder C:\ProgramData\sumokoin and restart wallet.

2. Did you save wallet mnemonic seed words? If so, please try to restore wallet using the seed word.

Hi,

I did it already, deleted both sumokoin and sumokoinGUIWallet folders, re-install and restore using mnemonic seed word but it doesn't work.

btw, I just try to run v0.1.2.0 "Hokkaido" console wallet and this is the output when I run sumokoind:

is it the normal output or something wrong?

There must be sth wrong with your network because the daemon could not connect to any seed node.

Please make sure the firewall is open for sumokoind daemon.

I think there is a problem with your wallet because I was mining on https://pool.sumokoin.com/ and I mined 281 sumokoin and you can check my address is "Sumoo4HS4diMPerPWKETgiFjxMXjsWr2eJSUgCE99kkTJPrMUnx7Lk1WJVY2fCTWfdhyxpFdas3vmMx q8Tr6SdTmEYpSkpc5kkb"
and when I installed the graphic wallet and restored what I has using the list of words I got only 185 sumokoins
It says that the last block is 21300 is that's not correct how can fix the problem?

Do you use GUI wallet or binary one? If later, please make sure you've downloaded the latest version v0.1.2.0 here:

1. If anyone of you in doubt abt dev intention, you can put a cautious mark here and don't invest. It's my best advice as I know I have no capability to satisfy all of you. Probably, the more we talk the more doubts will arise for some ppl.

Of course I don't invest in your scam. Or for that matter, even the concept of "investing" in cryptocurrencies is already strange. In the original sense, currencies are meant to be used as a means of exchange and store of value; they are not meant to be investment tools like stocks. To me, owning cryptocurrencies instead of fiat currencies is more like a transition from the old, unfair and malfunctioning monetary system to a new, fair and trustless one.

Disclosure: I own some Bitcoin, some Monero and some Aeon. No Sumokoin.

I started posting here primarily because you spammed some other Bitcointalk threads with your scam GUI miner advertisement, and I also felt like helping some uninformed people in this thread to realize the danger in Sumokoin.

2. I'm sure you are good enough at English to understand what "couple of days" means.

From Dictionary.com:
Quote
Idioms
14.
a couple of, more than two, but not many, of; a small number of; a few: It will take a couple of days for the package to get there.
A dinner party, whether for a couple of old friends or eight new acquaintances, takes nearly the same amount of effort.
Also, Informal, a couple.

I do hope you also understand the meaning of it. Certainly it shouldn't be more than 10 or 20. Why don't you simply delete the download link? If you break your own promise, there'll be a consequence.

there are always some mother f**kers with BAD intention to dig into some burried sh*t. WTF consequence you promised? why did you bother with the miner, bz it's better than others? You invested to Aeon, the dead project with no devs, abandoned by those who created it and you hope the same fate for other coins. Right?

You are Vu, right? Just be calm and prove him wrong. Just do whatever you guys promised and work harder.

I did suggest you guys to be careful when doing something. In this case, you guys claimed an open source software without any proof of source code. Just be careful next time.

No, he is not me  Grin The miner was created mainly to solve our own problem, the botnets/CPU farms to take majority of mined SUMO coins from true miners not to address others' problems.

Bill happened to be a supporter of Aeon (he created the aeon.sumominer.com pool long ago) and i think he had no bad intention to post miner announcement to AEON thread that somehow insulted some sensitive ppl there.

Who on earth would want to query the spend secret key over wallet RPC?
https://github.com/sumoprojects/sumokoin/commit/819f7e6e0eff6e4f7f41eca32f2e9df1d9b92e03

If the connection was somehow compromised and an attacker managed to see this data, all your money would be gone. Only a fool would use this feature.

The developers seem neither competent nor serious about security, which explains why the very old bug in the wallet has been left unsolved for a long time.

1. First, seed words can be retrieved via wallet RPC too, what's different from spendkey if connection is somehow compromised?

2. Second, wallet RPC only for local access (127.0.0.1) by default, no fools open it to the world, so that you have to compromise the PC/server first to access to the RPC wallet connection (if it's not secured by a passphrase).

3. Last, GUI wallet does use RPC but only it can connect to the RPC because there is a secret passphrase (via --user-agent parameter) random generated at each section and only RPC and the wallet know it. Any attempt to access to wallet RPC, even from local PC, will be denied.

Tried to mine, got 2 payments from pool, both are already included in the chain but sill nothing in my wallet.
Wallet if fully synced.

WTF guys?

It's a very very old problem. Try to delete everything, create a new wallet file from seeds and re-sync the network.

BTW, a lot of people had that problem before. Why the hell devs didn't fix it?

Please restore your wallet from the seed words. Some issue that make wallet file getting corrupted when creating new wallet must be fixed at next version.

Reasons I like Sumokoin:
1) No ICO! Not a fan of premines either, but is better than ICO. I see ICO as a money grab and catering to traders instead of focusing on development and proving/earning the coins worth thru solid development. At least with premine the devs still have to work to make those coins worth something. Also late adopters have a fair chance to obtain sumo thru mining for many years.

2) High level of privacy from the beginning with ring size of 12. Monero is great but the fact that the transactions prior to 2017 aren't really private is not ideal. Also xmr has a low minimum ring size (I believe ring size 0 is still allowed, which is definitely not ideal). Higher ring size reduces the effectiveness of Sybil attacks.

3) Devs do not hype or make unrealistic claims about the coin, but instead they have shown they are more concerned with steady quality development.

4) Despite the large amount of hash rate that is either a private mining farm or botnet, it is still possible for the average person to mine a reasonable amount with 1 or 2 GPU/ CPU. Also cryptonight isn't brutally stressful on my GPU, unlike many other algorithms.

5) Great community so far, the thread is not full of "to the moon" BS or trolls. Everyone here seems genuinely interested to see how development will progress.

Excellent summary! I like to quote Sumoshi's saying that "Sumokoin is right-at-first-time Monero" (abt Right-first-time: http://lexicon.ft.com/Term?term=right-first-time)

I think in sumominer same bug with the sumo wallet first version. About Foreign windows versions. Failed to execute script.

Please let me know what OS version and language that caused problem. Thank you.

EDIT: I could replicate the issue, it happened when user used a unicode login name. Next version will address it. Thanks for report.
