is there a way to choose a payout amount on this pool?

No, you get payed out in full block amounts when it's your turn. 5 ether each time.

sounds good.. 5 ETH payouts...small payouts with decimals like 1.xx are a bit messy, thanks

Ethpool is good, it pays the transaction fee as well.

looking at the faq page

there are two mining options..

Stratum mode using Stratum Proxy v0.0.4 by dwarfpool

and

Stratum mode using QtMiner and vardiff support

any opinion which is better?

Re: POLL - Which crypto do you feel is the biggest "scam"? - BE HONEST PLEASE

Sorry, let me clarify.

DASH is no longer a scam because we all know now that its governance model is a Dictatorship.

DASH was a scam before this occurred, when it started out as a "Hashocracy/Meritocracy" hybrid.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQGlcLFhwE0#t=2m8s

Yes, like many political systems that start out with certain "ocracy" good intentions they have a slimy way of being corrupted over time (power corrupts weak minds), which is exactly what occurred here with DASH.  Until Evan pulled the scam, this coin was indeed scam free.  And now that the public knows the truth (that Evan is simply a Dictator), then it is no longer a scam.

TLDR:  If I'm telling you that I am a liar, and I lie to you, then I made no misrepresentation.  Since Evan is showing us that he is a dictator, we cannot claim that we did not see it coming when he changes the politicies of his community on a whim.

ELI5:

A dictator is not a liar (scammer), he just has the power to get away with lying to you

Evan scammed that's why he become a dictator..

a "scam before" cannot "un-scam" itself ..

DASH is a scamocracy  Wink

EDIT: Well, apparently ASICs are a good thing!

I`m not in favor of them. I`m surprised the change from DRK to DASH caused more uproar than this fundamental change. I thought ASIC resistance was a given feature with DASH.

Yes, it was ASIC resistance.  Even from the very beginning Evan said he was hoping for 2 years without ASICs and strangely enough, that just what he got.  This is because the network needed to be strong enough for the change over, which it is.  This was not unforeseen.

ASICs do strengthen the security of the network.  They do this by making it so much harder to mess with transactions via someone having the ability to double the hash between blocks, changing transactions, and getting the longest chain.  This could actually happen with a massively successful botnet that is kept idle except when needed, reducing the chance of people discovering the infection, increasing the spread of the bot and being able to control a ton of hash power for short periods of time.

And this is because only a very few of the world's computers are hashing, most people don't even know about crypto currencies, but they all have graphics cards that can be hijacked.

ASICs are usually not kept idle and thus, their high hash power would be very difficult, thousands of times harder, to double or triple. This makes the network more secure.

Anyway, Evan Duffield, our lead developer has said he and the team have come up with a potential solution that he will reveal soon.  Hopefully it'll pan out and we'll hear from him soon.

One thing you can say about Dash, is that change is not something Dash fears.  Dash rolls with the changes (thanks RUSH)
Very noble and inspiring, I'm sure. But if you'd studied the real effects of ASICs on small and isolated networks, you wouldn't be so blase.

ASICs have been in now for a couple weeks and GPU farms running on high powered kernels have been in for months and months if anything DASH network hash rate has gone down ,,, what is the issue

Undoubtedly, the ASICs were in use by the Chinese before being delivered.  They've done it with Bitcoin, they've done it with Litecoin no reason not to do it to X11 and Dash.

Pffffft! those are nothing compared to Evan and friends instamining the shit of DASH in the first 24 to 48 hours of DASH launch Tongue

who ever is saying he have a mining farm in the Philippines is lying. Philippines is one if not have the highest cost of electricity in Asia..of course hobbyist are an exception.

http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2012/08/17/839090/meralco-rates-2nd-highest-asia

That's why you're a fuckin' moron, and will continue to be a fuckin' moron for the rest of your life. You want proof? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE PROOF! But, here it is anyway straight from Leroy Fodor's pie hole, a person who's on record in stating that he never lies: https://www.bitcoinforum.com/profile/?area=showposts;sa=messages;u=4909

Quote
Hello, I have began reading into Bitcoin mining for over a month now. I have tried to research many things to find the best way to build a good computer to accomplish successful mining. Ordering the good mining equipment would be very problematic because I live in the Philippines right now. Getting all that nice equipment would be very hard here. So i must settle to try this with the use of computers and their hardware available to me.

Allow me to go over my situation, I have an empty building I would like to dedicate to mining. I can have computers built to my specs. I would like to join a successful pool that I can contribute my hardware as an asset rather than just an addition.

Questions I have,

How many computers will I need to successfully make a nice profit? Electricity is not a problem as far as costs go. Very inexpensive here.

Can I use the force of 4 or more computers as one merged unit or must I register them all as separate workers.
If I can use them as a merged effort on my end which way is actually more profitable, to use them separate or merge them together as one force?
How should I build these computers.

Things I had in mind, I would like to use
ASUS F1 A55-M LX3 R2.0 mother board
AMD A8  radeon processor with
2 AMD Radeon graphics cards, and hopefully
2 32gig DDR3 1066MHz ram sets.

This will actually give my computers 3 accessible video cards, the 1 to 2 gig onboard radeon video as well as the 2 additional radeon video cards.

I would really love to get invested in this, and if I can do it using computers I will possibly have the option to buy 5 or 10 brand new ones very inexpensively.

Things I do not understand, if I would have 4 computers built to the specs above, Can I make them all work together as one unit to produce better profits in a pool.
If you can merge them is there extensive knowledge to networks needed and coding in order to accomplish this task?

I have been looking for over a month and it seems the people who can answer these questions are somewhat mean in a way and never directly answer the questions, they use an answer like "if you have to ask that don't get involved" and answers like that do not help me to research this investment, or anyone elses for that matter. I have never mined before and I am very interested in getting started, any information you can pass along to help me figure out the best path to take would be very beneficial.

There you have it, you fuckin' idiot, straight from the venerable Leroy Fodor's pie hole: Electricity cost in the Philippines is the cheapest in the world in spite of what bullshit you dig up by them so called expects, greedy bastards who do nothing but sit on their asses all day making up shit to post on the Internet.

When you find it in your heart to apologize to Leroy Fodor, then I may consider removing this post designed to stick it up your ass for depicting Leroy Fodor as some sort of scammer, which clearly by the evidence I produced above counters that claim.

/s

I've read that post and I'm strengthening your argument that Fodor is lying

@ wolf0

I think here is the part of the sentence that was not there (yellow glow)  Wink

For real?? I had bookmarked that paper for a read, but after your quote i'm not sure if i should read it ...
What kind of paper is this if they can't even get the name of DASH right ...
Such a sloppy research on DASH that they even can't get the name right is just so amateurish ...

I'll notify the author to adjust it. Agree it is a bit sloppy, but he isn't the only one who got it wrong.

Maybe it's not sloppy, but a dig at Dash's snake oil and your cargo cult's bad 'bamboo version' of crypto.

Regardless, it's a good example of why stealing the Dash-coin name for Darkcoin's rebrand was a bad idea.

Hey Ice, I am a small miner that mines DASH and I would like to express a couple of thoughts to you.  First, why don't you take your communist loving moron self to one of the crappy backwater countries that are a complete mess and joke.  Go live under horrible conditions that only the communist countries have to endure.  Come on and tell us how great it is while you are poor as dirt and starve.

Also, I understand that you have code in your monero, that has backdoors and you said that everyone is so stupid and they won't know about it.  Seems you really screwed the pooch on that one, by the way anyone worth his salt in this world knows go get an expert if you are going to do any business with another, and you sir are the lowest of the low and I hope a few more people are aware of your horrible soul.  I hope you enjoy burning for eternity, you can repent, just ask.

DASH is way better than your monero, and you are a liar, an idiot communist, and a back stabbing piece of trash.

your words means nothing..why?

1. you are mining DASH, Wolf0 the miner developer who optimized GPU mining for DASH said it is stupid to mine this coin..therefore you are stupid  Wink

2. Newbie account, most likely you are a sock puppet. a new born rat account maybe? hmmmm should I add you to my list?..nah run along mouse..

1.  Who said I was selling any DASH, I'm hodling. I make decisions not based on current value, but possible value.  That is called investing.  If I want to mine DASH that could be worth a lot of money, and you have no faith, you can call me stupid all day long while I laugh while at the bank in the future. Yes, I could buy DASH, but I want to know about it so I mine.  Also, I am not a rich person just an average guy.  I am in a free country and if I choose to mine, I will.  Have a nice life.  You are probably commie trash also.

2. No sock puppet.  A communist worst nightmare? Yes.

you are stupid indeed..

here let me help you baghold more DASH and laugh while at the bank in the future...

Mine the most profitable coin and sell for BTC, and then buy DASH with your BTC...you get more DASH by doing that stupid Wink

aaaaand i would like to say you are not just stupid but also a hypocrite, crypto currencies including DASH is a competition to banks.
