To compile a list of all currently known uses for blockchain and its effects and debate the pros's and cons.

Firstly a couple of refereneces

http://radar.oreilly.com/2015/01/understanding-the-blockchain.html

http://wpengine.com/blog/block-chain-could-be-bigger-than-bitcoin/

To start the ball rolling

1 Real property ownership use easements , mortgages encumbrances and leases ..reduction in Court cases on ownership claims easier ability to demonstrate ownership and provide "unquestionable" documentary evidence

2 Stock / share bond ownership/ transfer and dividend records

3 Births Deaths marriages divorces  children... Clear unambiguos and hard to contest or fake records + instant and inexpensive in labor and cost access

4 Licensing records  drivers/ business permits

5 general property ownership leasing and mortgages..  boats Cars commercial vehicles  planes

6 Citizenship status Passport records  ...travel history

7 Credit history

8 Government  income and expenditure.. tax records

9 Business revenue /expenditure and profitability/ dividends

10 Cost analysis and monitoring of vehicle fleets transportation costs..Order dispatch  location and delivery tracking and confirmation.

11 Insurance premium/ payment /claims records

Please add whatever else you can think of Smiley

I don't follow GAW/Paycoin for anything other than the comedy gold and lulz, but what is the significance of owning all 15 prime controllers ?

Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of decentralization ? Was XPY never supposed to be decentralized to begin with ? Am I making a bad guess at what "prime controllers" are supposed to be ?

wow just wow. he just cant stop lying. time to dig archive.today link for the emails where he talks about this  Grin

edit: ahh here is one of the emails

There are more than 15 Prime Controllers. There's around 50.

Prohibiting  French residents from making cash payments of more than 1,000 euros, down from the current limit of  3,000 euros.

Given the parlous state of the stagnating French economy the limit for foreign tourists on currency payments will remain higher, at 10,000 euros down from the current limit of 15,000 euros.

The threshold below which a French resident is  free to convert euros into other currencies without having to show an identity card will be slashed from the current level of 8,000 euros to 1,000 euros.

In addition any cash deposit or withdrawal of more than 10,000 euros during a single month will be reported to the French anti-fraud and money laundering agency Tracfin.

French authorities will also have to be notified of any freight transfers within the EU exceeding 10,000 euros, including checks, pre-paid cards,

I have included this in bitcoin discussion as using btc to purchase on coinstand is relevant to all btc users

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=999271.new#new

Under what circumstances would you consider using  coinstand to buy goods?
Never
wait and see
If they were substantially cheaper and the site was proven to deliver
I may try it for a test
Cant wait want to use it now and for ever
I would only buy with bitcoin

edit. If you havent seen it yet here is an example

With the paycoin communtiy expecting coinstand to give a boost it may be helpful to conduct a poll for everyones consumption to indicate what potential coinstand has with EXISTING crypto users.

If you look in the raw data of the transaction on the blockchain you can see if it is a "prime" and which one it is.

http://s4.postimg.org/mwslc9b7x/raw_data.png

**EDIT**  Guess GAW didn't know that the blockchain required every bit of raw data to be public...  or maybe they did and just didn't care...

There you go, vancefox setting the record straight as usual. Thank you sir (or madam, can't be too certain these days).

What looks like the 1st prime  with record I have  identified  ....only 49 or 50 to go

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xpy/address.dws?PQA8DzAyUe4znzGBR2RamvV24dX1KTj1MJ.htm

for period 1st - 9th feb

income received from stake approx

feb 2  start 148,342.   finish  150,627.8  income  2285  = 1.5% per day

feb 3  start 150,627.8  finish  151,958.    income 1131  = 0.75% per day

feb 4  start   151,958   finish  153,566    income  1608  = 1.05% per day

feb 5  start  153,566    finish  155,105    income  1539  = 1%     per day

feb 6  start  155,105    finish  156,318.   income  1213  = 0.78% per day

feb 7  start  156,318    finish  158,014    income  1696  = 1.08% per day

feb 8  start  158,014    finish  159,265    income  1251  = 0.79% per day

feb 9  start  159,265    finish  161,096    income  1831  = 1.15% per day

so YES its is running at about an average 1% per day compounded.

after that approx 15k coins are siphoned off and staking history income is blurred but some transfers end up here

Ok thanks

There is no way to know for sure which wallets are tied to controllers, if that's what you're asking. But you can look at the largest wallets: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xpy/#!wallets

I was hoping that had already been done...I will take a look and see if looking at the top 100 addresses will give some answers.

Sorry, spelling error there.

Coins are moving around all the time, so there isn't a fixed list as far as I know.

I will trace it forward from the 12M address on dec 15th to see the original primes as opposed to backwards..I think it will be easier but may not reach March 1st when the moving started.  Smiley

The rate is wrong.  It's not 350% per year, it's 1% per day compounded = 3500% return per annum.  Now THAT'S hyperinflation.

lol that certainly is but

a) it was supposed to be 350% (which for me is also hyper inflation) and they allegedly are trying to fix that issue of the error of the compounding effect.

b ) In December there were 12.5 M coins and now there are 14 M so thats an increase of 750,000 per month or approx 5% -6% per month when averaged out. The increase is unequally divided and the Prime controllers appear to be receiving an (overly) disproportianate share

c) 4.38 million coins are staking or 31% as per extraction list. what is the meaning of staking addresses ?( 378 today)

snip

I am curious about what exactly has happened. My knowledge of how this coin actually functions is pretty limited, so perhaps someone can explain how the staking stopped and then when it started again it appears to have had a retroactive effect, catching up with at least some of the lost staking. Does this require monkeying with the code? Can somebody at GAW just type this into a spreadsheet to make it happen?  This graph section shows the "catchup" staking a bit more clearly.

200,000 XPY created in a single day? Couldn't possibly be an inflation issue....

Basically, there's a set staking rate, higher for primes, but set. In order to "claim" it, you need to "stake" a block, and then send the stakes to your address.

But this doesn't have to be done every day, it expires eventually but otherwise adds up. So if I've got 100,000 coins earning 1% every day, I could do nothing for 25 days, then mine a single block with 25,000 coins in it, or something like that.

I believe it "caps" over 30 days, but I'm not sure.

The point is that the potential for staking is always there, but you need to do a tiny bit of work to "claim" it.

Re Prime controllers  can anyone enlighten me  This is what I have read in various posts

there are 50 Prime controllers ( or 51?)

15 are hosted by the paycoin foundation  does that mean owned?

At least 1 is owned by Adam Matlack  do we know what/if he paid for that?

TeamXPY has been "given " some  . Are they the same as those 15  hosted by the foundation and how many exactly and what is the consideration?

30 or 35 are owned and or managed by Gaw  which is correct?

Those owned or managed by GAW receive a rate of 350% per annum it may be all or only some

Some prime controllers only receive 10% per annum

Some are not yet turned on and therefore receive nothing  ( true or false)

How can we identify the total numer of prime controllers?

How can we identify how many are turned on?

How can we identify what rate each one gets?

The income for the Prime controllers is paid daily?

does that income go to the same address which can be seen as the coins in that address will increase or a different address?

the 125,000 coins for each address are "locked" for 6 months but the income can be moved/cashed/spent how can those 125k be locked if others can be moved if they are in the same address.

which addresses , if any, are moving income to exchanges for dumping?

Is there already an effort to find out who is really behind "Team XPY" and the "Paycoin Foundation"? Watching what they do in their new "Paycoin Talk" forum, deleting criticism, shilling and pumping, I think it's very obvious: TeamXPY is a smokescreen. A group of sockpuppets established or employed by GAW to make believe Paycoin is not associated to GAW anymore. I'd love to see some proof for that. Any ideas how we could get it? Maybe an disgruntled ex-employee who wants to talk?

I believe the majority of team xpy are genuine and decent and this can be demonstrated by what they say on here   https://forum.gethashing.com/t/xpy-paycoin-discussion-teamxpy/1559/42  which is often critical of what has transpired and the current situation and more importantly how THEY wil attempt to fix it.
Whether they can make a difference with the small amoumt of funding availabe  remains to be seen..the begging bowl is already out asking for 1% of staking income donations.

Additionally they may well be being played/ used or having their good will taken advantage of by parties with vested interest  who shall remain nameless oooops I mean obvious

I have seen countless posts on HT about giving Mr. Ganza some space and time as he is hard at work 24/7 etc, but I have still to this day not seen much of the results.

So either I'm missing some news, he is actually NOT working on anything or he is just damn SLOW.

MrCoins motto from Blackcoin days was "always underpromise and overdeliver", i LOL every time I see him these days posting about how hard at work the CEO is to get some new GAWSOME things done, and every time he gets the disappointment from JG, has to suck it up, spin it up and go back to hyping one more week. Maybe next week will be better..

It is extremely likely that the most vocal ra ra supporters of Josh on forums are actually compensated to promote paycoin specifically and they assume that that includes defending and promoting him personally. There has been an admission ( with apology) from at least one member who left HT. Looking at post history normally identifies those types.  eg frequency, spin, strong denials of the obvious.

a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange. Supercoin holders will become shareholders in this exchange, and the trading fees generated by the exchange will be used to pay out dividends to shareholders every 3 months.

Arguably if coin holders are effectively shareholders in an exchange who will be given dividends every 3 months then buying coins would probably be equal to buying a security and the sale of coins would need prior approval from the SEC

What is the view on that ?

eh?

ET is Eastern Time.

The owner is out of Florida:

https://www.linkedin.com/pub/ian-childress/4/883/649

I searched Coin-Swap  trade mark  no US record or business name registered

Cryptocurrency of America, LLC is florida registered but both that and Ian Childress have no TM's on the data base. I suppose it could have been unregistered by I doubt it

Time will tell  If the deal has just been completed leading to todays announcement I would have thought Josh would need to be there and the last we heard he was in Europe

This just happened.

https://twitter.com/CoinSwapNet/status/573884993761624064

http://Coin-swap.net  will be shutting down on March 22nd, 2015. Please withdraw all funds immediately. Thank you for your support.
Is this the exchange behind paybase?

They might have borrowed some code perhaps, but no, Coin-Swap.net is a separate GAW-owned exchange.

It looks a bit like this

Josh was in Europe to finalize purchase of coinswap ( where it is based) and today the site said officially it has been sold to GAW  They will now need to handle the turnover which is simpler if everyone has to remove their coins by March 22 or they will have an expensive audit/accounting nightmare and then probably set up the relaunch under a new banner.

The new exchange using coinswap tech/code ,which I fhave found very user freindly, will most likely be in Europe where it can open very quickly and cheaply ,compared to USA ,due to the regulatory environment being friendlier and the fact that no legislation has been passed YET  ( par for the course in euroland !)

Another big shuffle: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xpy/block.dws?88552.htm

Round and round the ~Million XPY goes, where they stop somebody knows....

It's amazing we don't see any if these big insiders and whales dumping given all the "bad news".

1 any large serious dump would crash the market  volume is very small  ranging from $40k - 100k per day currently  . those that wish to dump need to drip it in or they will suffer . However who is buying that volume given the uber negative publicity ( day traders aside ..20% of volume max?)

2 Most whales  are locked  until June so cannot sell until then

Have you guys ever heard of BlakeCoin?  It's one of the best coded NEW code coins out there.

Its founder, BlueDragon, is one of the best coders in the world of crypto.  BlakeCoin is superior to Bitcoin on many levels.

When BlakeCoin launched, its entire market cap was less than $10,000.

You guys know what happened to that coin?  Some anonymous source [from China] was DDOS'ing it daily.  They were spending about $10,000 per day attacking Blake to try and kill it.  They did this for weeks and even now attack it but spend much less.

There are powerful people in crypto trying to kill any coin with any potential.  If someone was spending that kind of money to kill a coin nobody knew or ever heard about, then imagine what they would do to a coin like XPY which came in with HUGE press and fireworks and is backed by millions of dollars and directly and outright targeted to replace Bitcoin.

This is a big reason why I question everything.  There are powerful people invested in coins like Bitcoin, Ripple, etc., which do not want any viable deep pocket coins to come out this year when Bitcoin gets pushed mainstream.

This is the year when the leaders of crypto will be cemented.  The future crypto players will be decided this year.

So there is a MASSIVE motive to destroy the image of XPY and Garza, and any coin or dev which threatens the crypto status quo.  This is a fact.

Just a fact any rational person should keep in the back of their mind when investing in crypto.

LOL maybe true but Garza has been his own worst enemy by not delivering on time , or at all, promising things where there is no real need to promise ( unless you are after more buyers)  The slow roll out and negative publicity due to that is predominantly his own doing and giving ( lots of) fuel to the detractors

are we on to the next step?  The "We got hacked" step lol.

It says the coins were protected  Grin

TBH I'm having trouble reconciling that post. If they caught it early there shouldn't be much "verification" needed. Worst case, restore last known good backup and replay known good transactions. Either they don't have a clue when and how the attack started or the whole thing is made up. To shut it down for a week is a truly confidence-inspiring act by a wannabe financial institution boasting to change the "industry".

Could it be connected with your previous post?

Hearing the Dev left a back door in in Zencloud before they fired him, maybe thats why nobody can withdraw there coins from there for 2 days

Would that be checking for other backdoors n anything that he worked on ..and how long would that take?

While this was happening, we had all hands on deck verifying every database and ensuring there were no other holes or doors they could use. Verification of all databases is in the final stages and we expect to be online next week, if not sooner.
