Can happily tell you guys that the power saving is HUGE.  Assisted a fellow miner move from scrypt to X11 with 4x 280x on a celeron with dual 750w power supplies.  Power consumption on scrypt was 1410w from the wall with reader.  All on Darkcoin - 552W from the wall - overclocked as much as possible to pull 2172KH per card.  Temps dropped from 74` on average to 58` with fan speeds on 35% (range in config was 35-85%).

Those paying for power, switch now and save Smiley

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised that power draw was lower than expected when I put a meter on my mining rigs. It's a 4x 7970 rig, and I added one card at a time to see the power draw. Each of them added 100W at the wall, at full load. These cards usually run 220-250W each on scrypt.

Yep, so these guys quoting one guy way back when, that mentioned the number 30% was a typical bull$ statistic  Wink

Darkcoin is so much more attractive now that it more than halves the power usage, heat, noise associated with mining it.

Can someone tell me what is the usual darkcoin power usage compared to scrypt? Lower, higher? I need a specific value for the hashrate you get. Best would be for udnervolted 280x or 290.

I am trying to add darkcoin to my site and need this data.

People often quote 30% decreased electricity usage, I haven't tested this personally so I can't vouch for that number.

I have 280x and 290 (not undervolted) and I get

2.29 Mhash for 280x
2.55 Mhash for 290

Also temps are ~10-15C cooler, which helps the stability bigtime.

Here is a table with other user's numbers: https://docs.zoho.com/sheet/published.do?rid=12cbm2fe8ce55abb2476daa0f8c576b442d40&mode=html

Cryptopools up and running.

Those scammed at pooljunkie - change your passwords on other pools if you are lazy/stupid and use the same password on multiple pools.

Security 101 people.

So in a crypto-world where a Scrypt ASIC would make a lot of money if developed, why the hell would you release a dual miner and not just a single Scrypt version?

Hey, so auto payout for >0.01BTC occurs once a week, right?

My balance is >0.0069 and has been sitting there for 2 days past the 1 week threshold.

I see that H2O logs in everyday, however, I have no response form him via PM.
You probably meant "...for >0.001BTC occurs once a week".

I have the same problem. My balance is 0.00527296, my last payout was on Jan. 2. Do you need to be active to get paid??

I stoppped to mine here because of the lack of confidence I have in H2O. I actually don't think that he is a scammer, but I have the feeling that he is overwhelmed by the scale of the task. He don't have the skills to manage everything.

I have had no issue with 24hr payouts at the same time every day for the past few weeks when using Middlecoin (I hop around to new launches to get a piece of pie on young coins).

The limits on min. withdrawals/payouts are there for a reason, you are not hashing enough to get a daily payout so you fall into the very small miner category that is not fussed over such small amounts I am guessing - but evidently, appears this is big money  Wink

Mining about $5 over more than 2 days is not worth it as you end up paying large portions in transaction fees in order to move you nanoBTC around.

Top 10 wallets:

1: 791989.94000000 coins (~6.5% of todays total supply)
2: 375000.00000000 coins (~3.1% of todays total supply)
3: 279577.90000000 coins (~2.8% of todays total supply)
4: 247000.00000000 coins (~2.0% of todays total supply)
5: 225000.00000000 coins (~1.8% of todays total supply)
6: 200001.00000000 coins (~1.6% of todays total supply)
7: 200000.00000000 coins (~1.6% of todays total supply)
8: 162016.99280914 coins (~1.3% of todays total supply)
9: 141867.32123478 coins (~1.1% of todays total supply)
10: 140885.32683688 coins (~1.1% of todays total supply)

Perhaps better than most other coins, but still pretty fucking centralized.

Heavy backers of the coin since launch and consistent miners with decent hash would be the reason for this Smiley

idk why solo mining is not working, and i just looked in my account and i have found a block of 2500 coins for ogc.dedicatedpool. Fucking shit no reward for block finders Sad

awais3344, as per my config posted earlier, if your firewall (assuming Windows) is open to whatever port on the PC/server running the wallet qt software (in my case IP 192.168.1.95, port 7998), and all your miners (i have limited working miners to IP range 192.168.1.* only) are configured to (assuming cgminer) "cgminer --scrypt -0 192.168.1.95:7998 -u solo -p x"

It should work fine

This is my .conf file:

rpcuser=solo
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=7998
rcpconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
testnet=0
listen=0
addnode=62.4.12.38

Syncs fine.

So solo mining this... got my first 500 from immature to balance - description "(n/a)"... then get transaction number 2 in with 2500 immature, now confirmed also with n/a.

So balance at 3000 and 2 transactions.  Thought this coin was 500 per block Huh
