Well theres planned to be 512 elite nodes.

Does this mean nobody else can have a node when 512 is reached?
How many exist now?

Thank you very much for your explanation, I am really interested to get enough XBY for a node! Smiley

Theres currently 429 nodes according to the static list
http://borzalom.hu/static-list.html

There was talk about doing a sort of "raffle" to decide who gets the remaining nodes, it was mentioned about them being more expensive than the initial 500k because the original people placed more faith in the project in the early days and people joining now know more than the original node buyers did.

After this, there has been talk of having tier 2 nodes, these would undoubtedly be cheaper nodes, however they would have less consensus power, and reduced fee payment percentages.

how much is needed for a masternode ?

500k

How much is the income of a masternode?

Well theres planned to be 512 elite nodes.

At current usage, (it was 1k blocks per day average last month or so I cba to recount to average)

So lets average it at 1.5k blocks created over the blockchain at todays averages, lets keep conservative and say 2 transaction charges per block.

Thats 3000 transactions per day being charged 100XBY

Thats 300k XBY in total for the node network per day

300,000 / 512 = 585.9 ea

586XBY = $14.50 per day give or take.

Remember thats 24/7 not work days = $450 monthly

When the network picks up, the volumes will also be higher thus more transactions.

Edit: Im not 100% on what the consensus came to, but i think there was an agreement for 64% of the fees to be given back from the network to the dev fund for a few month or so when the nodes go live maybe someone else can clarify this for us!

And doctorG you can stop encouraging them in their bullshit, a guy saying we are deleteing his posted in an unmoderated thread....fuck off.

And no one deleted his posts as everyone knows you can't delete unmoderated threads...the only people that can do that is bitcointalk mods and the poster himself.  What are brain damaged defending someone who is lying?

Just wanted to say Im getting pretty tired of some of the bullshit on this thread.

Simply, the coin is stable, holding its price in relation to BTC in these times of 'bullish' behaviour.

Its a good coin, Dev team need to keep doing the good work.

If I hear the word sockpuppet one more time Im gona start using the word 'wanksock' to describe the cheerleaders who are filling this thread with complete bullshit.

Thanks

No doubt your post will get deleted like many of mine do for "breaking community rules"

It seems any sort of truth speak breaks the rules!

Why would it get deleted?
Im asking for serious conversation, not 'non-sense'
Serious investors are here for news, not cheerleaders.

As simple as that

Heres my recent ones that got removed for "breaking the community rules"

------------------------------------------------

1. What development are we currently waiting on now in terms of getting the nodes activated?

2. We have no real timeline? We're waiting for testing to finish?

------------------------------------------------

I'll let everyone else decide for themselves if these are serious points for discussion or just "non-sense"

It will be done when it's done...no timeline nor deadlines as those never work out in crypto and are never met...it'll only cause grief and anger if it's not met.

Timelines and deadlines are there to entice hyper before news for a quick pump then a sell off after news is released like people buying alts think their actual traders with buy the rumor sell the news lol...

It would just be nice to get at least an update of:

-Yes the testing is going well and (x), (x) and (x) have been coded succesfully or,
-No, the testing is having minor issues with (x) and borz is currently working this with confidence in resolving the issue

-------------------------------------

At the moment we are all literally just in limbo, all we have to show is an modified BitcoinCore wallet to allow for node registration.

Not even a glimpse of workable code, or the ability to aid in reviewing or helping with the coding.

I really really do wish the best for this coin, admittedly like most people involved here, in terms of my own financial benefit, but also to the benefit and improvement to the cryptocurrency scene in general...

The PoSignature concept seemingly to me is a realistic method for workable code... in theory... and would be a major step forward in the cryptocurrency scene compared to the current tech if successful.

If its a scam, then oh well im not going to cry about it, but if its not, then why are the more involved people (ccrevolution, borzalom) in this project not providing the simplest of information in regards of updates to the userbase/ investors.

I see plenty of previous posts from CCrevolution claiming to be busy, and on with many things, but fails to provide any further information on what he is specifically busy with, and with no progression being made, or improvement announcements, what is he actually busy with?

So guys, what development are we currently waiting on in terms of getting the nodes activated?

If the sidechain is now active separate from the main chain as previously stated.

Are we just waiting on borzalom to finish testing of the sidechain? If not, would it be possible to get a rough timescale of when the testing of the new sidechain is likely to be finished, whether that be weeks or months?

There is a TON of things to do right now

I, and many other people in our XBY community would really, really appreciate if you could expand further on the things that you are currently working on right now?

Thankyou kindly,

Well as I understand it we already are live on one single node of the developer on the old chain. But soon as we swap to the new chain due to the old one being shit and part of old scam it will put all the news statics live.

Got to say I'm pretty excited for this one. I sense it's going to be something big once it matures.

So we have no real timeline? We're waiting for testing to finish?

So, i've setup my wallet... sent my coins from exchange to wallet... dumped my private key

How would  restore from private key if and when I ever need to?

Anyone?

Just secured 500k XBY... Feels good man!  Cool

Should I look to register a static node immediately or wait?

Do I need to leave my computer running to benefit from the node, or does it work in the background for me?
