Re: Solidcoin Design Contest - 2100 SOLID COIN BOUNTY!
by

i like how every thread related to solidcoin where people are legitimately interested in helping the currency succeed gets flooded by people with other interests trying to kill it off.  scared much ?   i just think that all this negativity towards alt chains hurts all cryptocurrency  including bitcoin in the long run. people should be trying to work together to make a coin that does what we all want. whether that coins ends up being called bitcoin or solidcoin or any other coin for that matter what is the difference. when people see all the arguing and name calling going on between chains it makes everybody look bad. you guys are seriously going to act this way on a open source project ?

I would also like to add that i think the symbol looks much better white. i am not trying to imply you should change it. i just personally think it looks more professional. Excellent job on the button Smiley

"Unless you're living next to the Hoover Dam"
if only this were true us las vegans still pay about 11.5c per kwh here and hoover dam
is less than 35 miles from here. you would think we would get much cheaper electricity
but unfortunately our utility services are greedy here  Sad

my claim was accepted about an hour ago
only used a 9char password for the time being plan to change it to a much better one once the site is up
only have a small amount of usd tied up there atm
included my deposit and withdrawal history along with my ip address and my wallet address and i didnt even have an email address associated
with my original  account.
dont know why some people are having problems with much longer passwords
maybe they aren't complex enough  Huh

i agree that regulation is not needed. i have a feeling regulation and intervention by authorities will do nothing to stop bitcoin as a whole. sites may come and go exchanges may be brought down by their own incompetence or by local government intervention but another will pop up and take its place thats what so great about bitcoin anybody can get into it not just the people who currently control all the wealth . exchanges will just move to places where authorities have no jurisdiction.  I am for some regulation when it comes to user safety and fraud protection but cant stand the regulations that keep corrupt people and businesses in power.

I just wonder how long a tip like that will take to trickle thru the Japanese system before anything would be done. likely there is no precedent for something like this either. as much as people call bitcoin a currency it is really not and is not subject to the same financial standards and laws. for instance could i get that same agency involved if someone stole all my wow gold it is effectively the same concept and is a "digital currency" as well.
there is a huge grey area here and it will likely be addressed in the coming months.  just my 2 cents  Wink

btc guild is messed up right now you picked a bad time to switch to it. it is my favorite pool but it has its issues from time to time. most likely its stuck in a loop and hopefully we will get rewards still. current round time is 8hrs Sad so something is wrong for sure . good luck with whatever pool you end up in

it depends on the strength of password you used. the stronger the password the longer it would take to crack. that said the list is public and i would assume its been cracked and change all passwords for any other online sites you use (if they are the same) and make sure the are complex.
