Hi!
I've installed fresh copy of ubuntu 13.04 x64.
Then I've manually instaled the newest ATI drivers (for my HD5970) from ATI's website in the way described here: http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Raring_Installation_Guide#Installing_Catalyst_Manually_.28from_AMD.2FATI.27s_site.29
After drivers were installed I've completed step by step guide from this site: http://rdmsnippets.com/2013/03/20/bitcoin-mining-with-ubuntu-12-04-tls-and-cgminer/
I've completed steps from 2 to 14.
This is my cfg from cg.sh:

export DISPLAY=:0
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
cd /home/user/cgminer
./cgminer -o http://api.polmine.pl:8347 -u  XXX -p XXX --api-listen --api-network

But after starting ./cg.sh from console I'm stuck here:

After running sh with intensity 9 I was stuck in console without any data (as in the picture).
I run cgminer for 10 minutes and it didn't start to mine.

It's important to add proper values of intenisty, work and thread concurrency.

As everybody said before - wait
All pools are updating stats in intervals - some every 15 min, some every 2h.

Only if BTC pass 500$ - exchange rates of all alt currencies are connected with BTC. BTC goes up - everything goes up

LTC for sure - more stable and connected with btc exchange rate.

Believe me that a lot of non nerd guys started to open big btc mining farms as an investment.

Can i preorder?

When you will receive your jalapeno after 3-4 months you won't get payback of your investment for long time - check how diff rise in this month...

And for sure i only see two possible alternatives right now - LTC and NMC - no one cares about others so don't bother with mining...

Just check every possible coins - dustcoin.com/mining. As always bitcoin is the crypto currency which is the most profitable.

I've got a problem with cgminer on ubuntu 13.04.

My HD5970 is installed properly - cgminer see two cores, but while starting cg.sh cgminer freezes at this point:

It can be stucked at this point several minutes and it doesn't start mining - just my fans start spining faster and faster....
Any ideas?
