Re: PhoenixMiner 5.8c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

The new beta version is ready. It is mostly a bugfix release, the more significant upgrades are coming next month. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.9b from here:

PhoenixMiner_5.9b_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_5.9b_Linux.tar.gz

The new features in this release are:
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Show the GPU vendor name in the list of GPUs to make it easier to identify the GPUs
  • Added support for the latest AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1. There are some bugs in these drivers, particularly the clocks and voltages can't be set properly with older

    cards
    (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII)
  • Validated support for the latest AMD Windows drivers up to 21.11.2
  • Fixed issues with AMD RX6700XT cards with the latest AMD and Linux drivers
  • Fixed issues with AMD Vega and Radeon VII cards on latest Windows and Linux drivers
  • Fixed crash with very old Nvidia drivers (3xx.x)
  • Other fixes and small improvements

The updated list of known issues (driver incompatibilities, etc.) and workarounds:

AMD Linux driver 21.40.1 has a bug preventing proper setting of clocks and voltages on older cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII). Given that these drivers are also

usually slower than

the older drivers for these cards, we recommend using Linux drivers 20.30 for anything older than RX6000 series.
If you are using Linux drivers 21.40.1 with Radeon VII cards, you need to add the option -fpwm 1 in order to have proper fan control.
AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer

cards on the same rig.
Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.

Whatever the rule, we are the participants, follow the rules, and earn the rewards as you.
We know that merit really stop our hope to up our rank. But, this is also a good regulation to stop the multi accounts. Of course, each regulation will involve positive and negative sides. So far, I only can follow it and stay positive and focus on doing my task to fulfill the bounty requirements.
It will not be tiring when you really relieved to accept it, even it is not easy.

I understand you coz basically you are not in our position. You gained so much merit unlike us. But I doubt what you will say if you're the same level like me. You will never know the feeling. I know the merit system before is not like this. It changes because of some retarded people trying to abuse the system. And that really affects us all.

Go up, friend Grin. We must try to move on and success will come to us. Do not be discouraged, with merit system, is hard to earn but you need to think positive. One day, all the things you do will be rewarded

Yeah, people must start moving on now and just work on their goal. We can't do anything right now but to follow all the rules here and also in every campaign. Your money will arrive in time, don't rush things and just hope that your bounty campaign will succeed.

YEah, thanks for lifting up guys. I'm just too overwhelmed participating a lot of campaigns and I never receive much. Maybe I'll just wait for more months to see the results. No pain no gain. We will get there.

Getting merit can be extremely difficult here in this forum. I am a legendary member here, and have more than 10,000 posts. But I have just 10 merits to my name. That is one merit point for every 1,000 posts. But the good thing is that you can participate in bounties even if your merit score is zero.

What's interesting to me is you joined this forum exactly 2 days before I did, yet when they issued merits they only gave you 10? Are you sure about that, guy? You were supposed to get 100, unless you became Legendary after the system went into effect, in which case you would only get 50, I think.

I am not talking about the "default" merit points. I have about 1,000 default merit points, which they give to all the legendary members. I am talking about the "earned" merit points. I have only 10 earned merit points, despite making so many posts here regularly.

You obviously posted the majority of your posts before the merit system was put in place. So I don't know why you would use that as a metric for your merits beyond 1000. You should have been given 100 sMerits, that's Sendable Merits. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think for every 2 merits you receive you are also awarded 1 new sMerit. It's a very "survival of the fittest" system, and as I have only 7 more than you, its not really my place to talk about the quality of your posts.

And again, sheesh, its not about quantity. Its about quality. Why does nobody seem to understand that? The vast majority of this posts in this thread are shitposts written by hopeless noobs hoping to draw merits or up their Activity. Then you have a portion of posts from users who genuinely sympathize with the OP. Then there's me, and then you. Most of the people posting here aren't actually saying a damn thing.

Everytime Uncle Nutildah commented on any post it gives me chill. LOL. It always burn the person away.

At first, I am so eager to join most of the Bounty Campaigns, I even ignored Airdrops. But lately, I feel like it's so tiring. Some campaign don't even update the sheet and not even paying us tokens. So you feel like not interested anymore. All those efforts are worthless. Additionally with this Merit system, It felt so useless. My activities and posts are way more than qualified but still merit is nowhere to be found. I tried to create replies, and posts nicely and formally like "Jose Rizal" or even "Nicholas Sparks" but still no chance, it makes me anxious. I think this is the punishment for the late bloomer in cryptocurrency. Lol
Don't join all or even most of the bounties it is simply not worth your time, many are not going to pay you, since those coins were nothing but scams, what you need to do is to try to find the few bounties that belong to legitimate coins, perform your job to the best of your abilities and then wait because that is the only thing that you can do.

Got it sir, right now, I am more focus on examining the bounties I want to participate in. Whenever I feel tired, I just play Mobile Legend and then back to work. LOL. You're rank inspire me, maybe someday I can reach it Smiley

yup, for merit you need to be some "god" from your word for getting merit from the other. because no matter how good your advice or your thread is you cannot get any merit if no one gives you merrit
There is purpose why merit system were created.
I believe this is to avoid account farmers who do spam posts in the forum, bounty campaign is tiring, yes, if you are not interested with contributing
in this forum, I think being active here will give more experience to be more matured when it comes to investing.

You're right sir. There's so many things here in the forum worth a shot, reading many topics about cryptos as well as the experiences of the people behind their success makes you feel inspired and keep you going. Smiley

the war is just beginning. You should learn the bounty and join the good bounty. I see 10 bounty here 6-7 bounty will not pay. Therefore, it should be carefully considered. merit was created I think it was great with the old members. This newbie is really a nightmare
as you say, with the merit point, it makes the newcomers think hard to be promoted and can follow the signature campaign, if it can not, there are actually other bounty options, so keep trying

Yes sir, you're right. Things will come from the least you expected it. Thanks.

But you act not like Jose Rizal, because Jose Rizal was known as a hardworking man and He was never quit at all cost, even to faced death. If you felt tired then it is better to leave because this kind of work needs patience and you must have a high emotional quotient just to overcome bounty scammers and also never mind the merit, the most important is they will be accepting junior member in signature campaign.

Did I say "Act like Jose Rizal"? Thanks for the advice man, but somehow people feel tired, but that's not mean we'd better off this thing or quit. Beginning is always the hard one. It's better to express what you really feel rather than keeping it alone. Instead of discouraging when we feel down, why not share your own experience, I guess you have a lot.

Your problem is you got into crypto for the wrong reason.

Just like the expression "there's no such thing as a free lunch," there's also no such thing as a free bitcoin.

Waaaaay too many people sign up as members on this forum hoping to create money out of thin air, which doesn't even have a physical existence in actual reality.

That's not the way life works, son.

All the time you spent reading about airdrops and bounties, you should have been studying cryptocurrencies: what makes some better than others, to increase your chances of finding the "next big thing" like many of us did.

I bought into NEM for $60 before it was first released, before the term ICO ever came into existence. Months later I sold it for $600, thinking I was a genius. Had I held onto my original stash, at NEM's peak, it would have been worth OVER HALF A MILLION DOLLARS!

There's new coins going to the moon every single week. Meanwhile you're reading some scammer's post about how you can make money for free and you never even see where the actual potential lies.

Because I pity thee fool, I'm giving you one merit. Hopefully you'll take my words into consideration. Sincerely,

Uncle Nutildah.

Hi Uncle Nutildah,

I appreciate your reply. Reading most of the comments right now, I feel energized especially when I see you gave me Merit. Lol. That's the reality uncle, there's no such thing as Free. You need to work in order to earn. Maybe I'm just too overwhelmed with so much participation I encounter. Maybe too blind to see the reality of the cryptocurrency. Hearing you sold your NEM's, you still a genius because u gain profit from it although the price goes up the way you expected it. For sure you have so many coins ur holding up now.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to work it out and bear in mind.

PS: I'm not a SON. Smiley

Invest at your own risk.. You sound like you're not sure of what you are doing. Better be safe than sorry. There's a lot of ICO you can join there bounty campaign, airdrops, signature campaign. But investing is a different story, much better you research the project.

I just received my token when I join the airdrops, it's not that much but I see a good potential in it. So maybe I'll just hold it for a long time. We don't know it will go high and high everyday. It's worth a shot.
