yes. IMO ASIC resistant and GPU friendly algo is a must for gaining popularity among mining community. more miners, more popular, price goes higher. unless the algorithm can become both ASIC and GPU resistant.

congratulations on the new site! For the longevity of the project, have you considered switching mining algorithm to something ASIC resistant? what is the reason for choosing double sha256? thanks.

Attention please!

Official site with downloads and list of pools has moved to

xdag.me

Content is moving too.
Please change your links and thank you for supporting the project.  Cheesy

ASIC resistance would be great for decentralization and would help spread this coin out to a widely diverse population rather than in the hands of a few big miners.

Thanks for the response. Please allow me to ask more layman questions... Actually I think it would be great if you can add a picture to the document showing DAG chain in design and the relationship between main blocks and their children TX blocks through the 3 layer of block linkage.
One picture saves thousands of words.  Wink
When do you plan to enable/enforce the TX fee? What is your biggest concern for enabling TX fee? and you have mentioned the decentralized linking of each TX block, will the server/node be always incentivized to behave in favorable way?

Hi, I am new to this project and the DAG based crypto in general.

In the whitepaper, I read

Ideas

Each block contains exactly one transaction. At the same time, the block is an address. Among all transactions, the main chain is allocated - it is a chain with the maximum difficulty. In the main chain, new coins are created about once a minute.

Can someone can explain to me how this "main chain" of DAG network is determined, and the mechanism of coin generation. Is this done completely through algorithm, or manually selected by human operators - something similar to the witness nodes of byteballs? thanks.

completely through algorithm, coins generated in each main blocks

Pretty nice pump, price stands at 0.000678 BTC now. Smiley

Let's see if we can cross 0.001 BTC once again this month.

keep dreaming  Grin Grin Cheesy

lol, you never know, depends on who the whale behind it...

dev is dead .. no updates from him .. tell me any coin which goes high with dead dev ?

You don't understand ZCL at all.

ZCL was made to overcome the big 20% founders tax in ZEC. In ZCL, you get exactly what you mine, without deduction of any number. Now ZCL is in the control of its users.

The developers of ZCL do NOT get anything, that's why they don't have much of interest in it, but since there is no fee deducted from our coins, we're always free to hire a good developer ourselves. Even I'm currently searching for a developer who can play a role for ZCL as a part-time developer and pay him some funds from myself in form of ZCL (and others would definitely like to donate as well for new development).

I agree, this coin has shown its resilience over hardship in the last few months, must be rooted from hardcore community support. combined with some decent development and adoption in the (dark) market the price should go much higher.
IMO, a de-centralized cryptocurrency is more likely to survive the bubble burst that loom ahead....

looking forward to see this coin to rise some day in the future. I do think it has potential to become ETC of ETH, with active development, community support and a clear road map on the table (rather than just being clone of ZEC), all of which seems to be lacking at this point...
I have set up 1 rig to mine at minez.zone, which is a great pool so far, hope to see more hash power pouring in soon. I also set up a full node at home to support the community, it is just fun! Grin
