Ordered at 4:00AM in the morning, had a tracking number by 5:00.  I live in California, got the cables 2 days later.  They have been working in my rigs ever since.  Highly recommend you get yours!

Been using coinotron.  I should really try to switch around more though.

Why has no one mentioned 7950?

- less power
- ~630 hash
- at least $100 cheaper than 7970, more if you sell the games that come with it or get a rebate

More bang for the buck imo.

I'm actually running 2 rigs.  I charged up about $3500 on a credit card.  Admittedly I went all out though, this is more than just a test drive to me.

The payoff time is not exponential by adding more of them either, it will take around the same 160 days for one or for five (1500 mh/s if you're counting).

This part is a very valid point. Consider the increased earnings by having more though. After that (160d) you would be looking at, say $1,500 a month instead of $150 a month by having 10 instead of 1 (all using theoretical numbers). Of course, the investment is also larger, increasing the risk.

Agreed.  That's how I justified more than one mining rig to start.  I'd be interested in these things if some vendor was reselling them.

I like the video game nickname idea, as I'm an avid gamer.  I'll probably do that.

I have been mercilessly talking about crypto-currency with friends and family.  There has been lots of laughing and accusations of "fake internet money."  That and the spouse has been very not thrilled with the amount of time I've been spending on my mining rigs.  I shall persist!

- get local media resources interested in bitcoin

What's up fellow crypto-junkies!

Been lurking around for awhile, decided to finally sign up because I wanted to be able to provide feedback to resources I have used off this site.

I'm from Oakland California.  My brother recently introduced me to bitcoin.  I decided to build a mining rig which I recently finished and have been mining ltc with since completion.

Lets break out of newb town together.  Smiley
