Hi there,

I am experiencing problems with my Antivirus Program and the ECC/Lynx Wallet. When installing the wallet, the eccoind.exe is marked as potential malware and is being moved to a different location. This results in the program's inability to start the wallet. The menu is always set back to "Click to install wallet". The problem occurs in Windows 10 with Avast Free Antivirus. Deactivating the antivirus program before installing the wallet seems to work as a temporary, but of course not as a permanent solution.

Is anyone experiencing similar problems and does know how to solve them?  Huh

Cheers,
ratflat

hi ratflat & welcome; PoS was turned off with the last release

All right, I see. Thanks for your reply! Then I'd suggest to remove the option from the Config-panel in order not to confuse the users...

Hey there,

first of all, congrats to the new homepage, looking awesome!

There seems to be some confusion regarding Staking of ECC. Thus, I would like to know if this mechanism is still active? I tried to find an answer to this question, but opinions seem to vary largely...
Post #2762 suggests that the staking option is no longer available because all of the coins have been mined. On the other hand, sources like this URL https://www.reddit.com/r/ecc/comments/7piqxz/staking/ seem to suggest that it is still possible.

So here are my two questions:
1.) Is it still possible to generate interest by staking inside of the wallet?
2.) If so - how do I do it? Just activating the "Staking" option via Settings -> Config didn't result in an effect for me (despite re-starting the software as well as stopping and re-starting the wallet). Did I miss something? Do I need to enter some command in the Command Prompt?

I'm in it for the long run, so keep up the good work!  Wink

Cheers!
